Captain Jack of Azeroth

Chapter 212: Eye of Sargeras

Chapter 212: Eye of Sargeras
Dust and smoke rose up, and countless shrapnel flew out from the door. Jack waited for the shrapnel to fly past, then immediately sneaked in.

Some of the demons inside the door were injured by the explosion, but they did not lose their ability to fight. They looked at the door with burning eyes, fearing that the people outside would take the opportunity to attack.

Jack found a shelter at the door and quietly moved in. He took out three more magic bombs and threw them at the demon.

After throwing the bomb, he immediately lowered his head and hid himself completely behind the broken stone wall.

"Boom boom boom——"

After the three magic bombs exploded, some demons were finally killed. The remaining demons hid and attacked Jack.

Countless magic spells flew over the stone wall and hit the wall inside.

Jack put on night vision goggles, took out his double pistols, and fired bullets continuously into the sky.

Bullets rain, bullets rain, bullets rain...

Countless bullets fell from the sky, covering the demon with fire.

After suppressing the demon, Jack immediately shouted, "Attack!"

Vereesa, who was guarding outside the door, immediately ordered an attack. The Ogre Squad, Heavy Fist and others rushed to the front holding tall shields.

The rangers continuously fired flares in the direction of the demons to guide the army in the direction of attack.

Roning, Mars and others continued to use magic to suppress the demons, allowing the warriors to approach with ease.

Most of the Doomguards were lost, and the demons at the temple gate were mostly Demon Guards and Voidwalkers, assisted by Cerberus and Imps.

The ogre team specifically dealt with the demon guards, the minotaurs rushed towards the hellhounds, the mages and rangers mainly targeted the voidwalkers, and Jack turned his gun around and was responsible for taking the lives of the little devils.

The demons also had their own goals, especially the hellhounds, who desperately rushed towards the mage, but along the way they were either trampled by the war of the minotaurs or attacked by endless muskets, and they were killed before they could get close to the mage.

After clearing out most of the Doomguard, the crew and mercenaries had the upper hand in numbers.

Coupled with Vereesa's superb command, these demons were no match for the crew and mercenaries.

Soon, everyone cleared out all the demons at the door.

Vereesa called Daxul over and said, "You should still remember the path we took, right?"

Darkthul nodded, "I will never forget it in my life."

"Lead the way!" Vereesa pointed to the long passage, "We will keep you safe."

When fighting, having a guide can solve many problems. There are many hidden passages in the Temple of Elune. The last time Gul'dan entered the temple, the demons raided the Shadow Council through these passages. Darkthul clearly pointed out the location of these passages, and then Vereesa used the same trick to lure out the demons and destroy them.

Soon, the army arrived at the last place Gul'dan had visited.

Daxul pointed to the gate in front and said, "This is the last place we have reached. After Gul'dan opened this gate, he was killed by the surging demons."

"Get ready for battle!"

Jack looked at Mars, and Mars immediately channeled the energy of the Eternal Bottle to protect himself. Then he used arcane energy to channel it to the gate and crack the upper limit mechanism.

As an upper elf, he knew the Temple of Elune very well, and the gate was soon opened. However, what everyone did not expect was that there were not many demons inside. Moreover, when the demons saw everyone, they immediately panicked.

They were performing some kind of ritual around a huge gem. Everyone threw arrows, bullets, bombs, and magic at it, covering the demon with all firepower, not giving the demon any chance at all.

Only a few Doomsday Guards survived. They wanted to fight back desperately, but when they flew to the door, they were dismembered by Mars' powerful arcane magic.

"What is that?" Vereesa asked her question as she looked at the gem that contained infinite energy.

Daxul shook his head. "This should be the treasure of the god that Gul'dan mentioned. The powerful magic fluctuations on it show that there is indeed a god buried here."

Jack said to Mars, "Make it stop."

Mars nodded and immediately infused the gem with arcane magic to stop the demon's ritual.

"Even if he is a god, he must be an evil god!" Jack came over. "The devil must have come here for a purpose."

Vereesa nodded and said, "Clean up the battlefield and gather all the things with words on them."

Everyone immediately took action, searching for the magic package on the demon's body. Then they counted the magic packages and gathered all the documents and books.

Jack flipped through it and soon found the clue.

"Buried within is Sargeras, master of the Burning Legion."

"Sargeras?" Mars exclaimed, "Isn't that the god Azshara summoned back then?"

Vereesa was stunned. "Azshara? The queen of the ancient elven empire? So the War of the Ancients was started by this Sargeras?"

Rhonin frowned and said, "So, the artifact that destroyed Draenor, the Scepter of Sargeras, is also his weapon?"

"It should be just one of them!" Jack pointed to a book called "Introduction to the Burning Legion" and said, "Sargeras' weapon is a sword. The Scepter of Sargeras was created after the War of the Ancients in order to invade Azeroth again. It has the ability to open space rifts, and only Sargeras himself can use it."

"It also records that the demons bewitched Ner'zhul and made him steal the Scepter of Sargeras and open a portal in Draenor. In this way, the Burning Legion could easily reach Draenor. However, they did not expect to open too many portals and directly tore the entire world of Draenor apart."

Everyone couldn't help but be amazed. What kind of magical weapon could destroy a world?
Jack flipped through a few more pages. "This gem is called the Eye of Sargeras. It is Sargeras' favorite gem. It also has the ability to destroy the world. But just like the Scepter of Sargeras, using it requires very strict conditions. If it is not controlled properly, it will destroy the world."

"The ritual those demons used just now was to destroy this island and sink us all to the bottom of the sea. Unfortunately, this ritual takes a long time, and we attacked too fast."

Ronin looked at Jack and said, "We need to handle this gem properly. If it falls into the hands of the wrong people, it will be a disaster for the world."

Jack laughed. "You don't want to take it back to Dalaran?"

"Right on my mind!"

Jack shook his head, "I disagree, Ronin, this idea is stupid!"

Luo Ning frowned, "Jack, you don't want to possess it?"

Seeing the two men getting angry and nervous, both sides immediately became defensive against each other. The elven mages, rangers, and crew members stood together, while the Dalaran mages and mercenaries also gathered together.
