Captain Jack of Azeroth
Chapter 200: Caverns of Time
Chapter 200: Caverns of Time
A month later, the Black Pearl arrived in Tanaris, at least twice as fast as before.
Jack had not been idle this month. He and Nedro had been researching new cannons and shells, and had designed several blueprints, just waiting to test them after returning to Azsuna.
He definitely couldn't go to Steamwheedle Port. After what happened last time, Jack had already fallen out with the Steamwheedle Group. Wouldn't it be like sending himself to trouble if he went to Steamwheedle Port again?
Following the instructions of the Blue Dragon Amulet, Jack drove the Black Pearl to a beach.
After stopping the Black Pearl in the sea, Jack took Iseil and the ogre team ashore in a lifeboat, and then headed towards the distant mountains in the direction indicated by the blue dragon amulet.
It was only after going around the west side of the mountain that Jack discovered the entrance to the Caverns of Time.
The Caverns of Time was filled with magical energy, forming a large number of traps and projections. Without the Blue Dragon Amulet, it would be a shame to be able to walk fifty yards, let alone find the Bronze Dragon.
"Is this the Caverns of Time? It's amazing."
"It's really magical. These projections should be caused by time spells. Therefore, we must avoid them as much as possible, otherwise we may travel to another timeline."
Everyone nodded and moved away from those time projections.
Soon, following the blue dragon amulet, everyone saw a high elf.
"Who are you?"
The high elves looked at everyone in surprise, "How did you find this place?"
Jack showed him the Blue Dragon Amulet, "My name is Jack Sparrow, and I'm a captain. This Blue Dragon Amulet was given to me by a Blue Dragon lady named Stella Gosa. I came here to ask for help from the Guardian of Time."
"Ask for help?"
The high elf was a bronze dragon, and he took Jack and others to meet the leader of the bronze dragons, Soridormi. Soridormi was the spouse of the bronze dragon king Nozdormu, and she led the bronze dragons when Nozdormu was away.
She built the Scale of Quicksand to monitor enemies in time. She was surprised by Jack's arrival.
"You intend to attack Suramar?"
"Yes!" Jack said, "Elisandre is a reign of terror in Suramar, and she also abuses time magic. She is our common enemy. Your Excellency, if Elisande is not defeated, she will inevitably bring great trouble to this world."
Soledomi looked into the time stream, then shook her head and said, "It is not yet time to kill Elisande."
Issel turned to look at Jack, "What now?"
Jack signaled her to be patient, and then said to Soledomi: "Excuse me, sir, when is the time to kill Elisande?"
Soledomi shook her head, "It's a secret."
Jack spread his hands, "It seems that time still imprisons your thoughts."
"What did you say?"
The bronze dragon asked in a deep voice: "Can mortals actually have a say in time?"
Jack said: "I really don't understand time, but I know that time is just a unit to record the trajectory of objects. No matter what we do, time will not change. So why are you so afraid of it? Anyway, we can't change time no matter what we do."
The bronze dragon was stunned. Although he knew that Jack was talking nonsense, it sounded reasonable. Solidomi was also a little surprised. "Then you should know about parallel space, right?"
"Of course!" Jack shrugged. "Schrödinger's cat, one thing has two options. Before we really explore it, it will continue to develop according to the two options. And when we explore it, this thing will collapse into one thing."
The bronze dragon frowned. What the hell was this?
Solidomi also frowned, she understood the meaning of Jack's words.
"You mean, no matter how many parallel spaces there are, as long as we uncover the truth about time, it will become one timeline?"
Jack shook his head. "I don't know about that. I don't really understand these profound things. But I know that no matter how many parallel spaces there are, there will be an original template, which we can call the sacred timeline. This timeline is the real time, and the other timelines are just extended from the sacred timeline. Every different choice may lead to the birth of a different timeline, that is, a parallel space."
Soledomi laughed, "This theory is quite interesting."
She turned and came to the stream of time. "This is the stream of time. It constrains all these timelines. According to your theory, does it all originate from one point?"
"Don't you know it by looking at it?"
Jack said with a smile.
Soledomi nodded, "You're right!"
She began to cast a spell and came to the source of the timeline. She saw the truth, that was when the Titan Guardian handed the timeline to Nozdormu. Before that, there was only one timeline in Azeroth.
This seems to confirm Jack's opinion!
Returning to the Caverns of Time, Soledomi looked at Jack in surprise, "You are right, at the beginning of the timeline, there was indeed only one."
The bronze dragon said: "Of course there is only one original timeline. This does not prove that he is right."
Soledomi shook her head. "The timeline only branched when it was handed over to Nozdormu. This shows that the previous time is just as Jack said, it cannot be changed. I don't know whether the Titan Guardian's monitoring of time is strong, or Nozdormu allows the emergence of branching timelines. However, this at least shows that Jack's understanding of the timeline is not wrong."
He looked at Jack, "Then do you know the purpose of so many timelines?"
Jack thought about it and said, "Maybe it's to hide the sacred timeline, or to select a timeline with the best ending to serve as the sacred timeline."
Solidomi fell into deep thought. "If that's the case, any variable will cause a new timeline. Then as time goes on, there will be more and more timelines, and we will not be able to manage them at all."
Jack said: "There must be an important factor for setting up so many timelines. As long as we find this important factor, we can be sure that it is the sacred timeline."
"Important factor?" Soridomi suddenly realized. He entered the time flow again and headed towards the legendary end of time.
There she actually met Nozdormu, with countless timelines entangled around him. "Why are you here?"
Nozdormu looked up. "I want to see what happened at the end of time."
Soridormi told Nozdormu what Jack said and what he had discovered. Nozdormu immediately stood up and said, "I understand!"
He said to Soridormi: "Send Chromie to Suramar to help this Jack. Perhaps he will be the key to unlocking the secrets of the end of time."
"Protect him!"
