Captain Jack of Azeroth
Chapter 144 Assassin Garona
Chapter 144 Assassin Garona
Both sides of the battle were speechless, but compared to the ogre, Jack and others quickly let it go.
Anyway, this battle also tested the fighting power of the musketeers. There were advantages. The musketeers had good shooting talents and were well trained in two-stage shooting, which prevented the ogres from getting close.
There are also many shortcomings, such as panic when encountering emergencies and lack of accuracy.
Emergency situations can be trained. Jack already has a set of training for dealing with sudden situations, but because he has been sailing on the sea, he did not do it.
As for the lack of accuracy, Jack and Angus summarized after the battle and thought that it was because the musketeers had just come ashore to rest and had not yet adapted to land combat. When they were aiming and shooting at sea, the ship was bumpy, so they would subconsciously adjust the aiming direction. Once they were on shore, they could not change this habit in a short period of time, which resulted in the lack of accuracy.
During the battle, Jack saw at least a hundred fallen ogres, most of whom were lightly wounded. King Gordok ordered a retreat, and the lightly wounded ogres ran faster than sticks. If Angus hadn't reacted quickly, many of the seriously wounded would have escaped.
Jack had no intention of killing these big-bellied men, so he asked Iseil to treat these ogre captives.
Eldre'Thalas may be a three-way confrontation, and with the addition of the Black Pearl and the Sentinel, it will be a weakened version of the Battle of Five Armies.
In such a chaotic situation, it is always good to have some backup plans.
Ogres are indeed big-bellied men, and they eat more than trolls. There is plenty of food on the Black Pearl, and even if they run out of food, they can go fishing in the nearby waters.
Slijik ate heartily. He had never eaten so well and so full since he came to Azeroth. Even when the orcs were at their strongest, the ogres had to work on an empty stomach. Finally, when they could no longer bear the hunger, they dragged corpses back from the battlefield to eat.
In fact, compared with orcs, ogres are much more civilized. They once built a powerful magic empire, and if the orcs had not destroyed their capital, they would still rule Draenor.
Later, although the relationship between the two races eased and they even intermarried, the orcs were always very wary of the ogres and would not provide them with sufficient supplies.
The name Ogre was only given to them after they came to Azeroth. However, they did not have the strength to correct this mistake, nor did they bother to do so. All their attention was focused on how to survive. If they could not survive, would it matter what their name was?
Jack came to Slickik and asked with a smile, "How is it? Is it delicious?"
Slickik nodded, "Captain Jack, you are such a good man."
Jack smiled and said, "We can't really say we are good people, but we certainly don't want to go against the ogres. Perhaps, for our goals, we can still join forces."
Slickik fell silent. He was no fool and knew what Jack wanted to say.
"I can't decide on this. If you can let me go, I can report your words to the king."
"Don't rush this!" Jack patted his shoulder, "This requires time and opportunity."
Jack turned and left, found Iseil, and asked her to find out the movements of the ogre again.
Not long after Isel left, a figure appeared near the camp.
"Who is it?" the Musketeer shouted, raising his musket and pointing it at the figure.
Angus rushed over immediately and was surprised when he saw the person coming. "Orc?"
It was a female orc, holding two daggers in her hands, and she glanced among the trolls.
"My name is Garona, and I hope to meet your captain." Angus hesitated, "Wait!"
He ran quickly towards Jack, who had already received the news and was rushing over here.
When he saw Garona, a trace of anger inexplicably arose in his heart, and the scene of his "father's" death flashed through his mind.
"Orc! Die!"
Jack roared, took out his two swords and rushed towards Garona.
Garona was very surprised. She thought the captain should be a troll or a goblin, but she didn't expect him to be a human. The war between orcs and humans has caused too many tragedies, so she understood why Jack attacked her.
But even though she understood, she wouldn't just stand there and let Jack chop her.
She took a few steps back and easily dodged Jack's multiple attacks. The blazing flames made Garona feel uncomfortable. When Jack slashed at her, she ducked and dodged the two swords. Then she turned over and kicked Jack in the back.
Jack stumbled two steps before he stood firm. Just as he was about to turn around, he felt a sound of his hand breaking through the air. Jack quickly rolled forward and swung his two swords behind him.
"Dang Dang!"
After two crisp sounds, Jack stabilized his body and looked up at Garona. She was still ten yards away, looking at him helplessly.
"If any of your relatives were killed by orcs, I can only say sorry. But I hope you can calm down and listen to what I have to say."
After venting his anger, Jack felt awe in his heart. He had never expected that the soul of the original body could still have such a strong influence on him.
"Say it!"
Garona said: "I was controlled by the Shadow Council and assassinated King Llane, causing Stormwind City to be breached by the orcs..."
"What?" Rude exclaimed. He didn't expect that there would be such a hidden story behind King Llane's death. He immediately drew out his magic sword and approached Garona.
"Rudd!" Jack stopped him, "Come back!"
Rude retreated angrily and put away the magic sword.
Garona saw more and more crew members rushing over, and she couldn't help but get nervous. With her ability to reach out, she wasn't afraid of crowds, but she was afraid of muskets.
She had been lurking nearby when the ogre attacked. She knew the power of the musket very well. If Jack took out his double pistols, she would definitely not fight him, but would sneak away immediately.
That's why she felt she had a chance to convince Jack to help her complete the investigation.
"Master Khadgar helped me get rid of the control of the Shadow Council. In order to make up for the guilt in my heart, I am determined to destroy the Shadow Council. I have been following the Shadow Council to Kalimdor, and found traces of the Shadow Council nearby. They seem to be plotting something in that elven city."
"I know your goal is there, so I want to work with you."
"Shadow Council?" Jack was stunned. He didn't know that there was a Shadow Council inside Dire Maul.
Turning to look at the ogres, it seems that the Gordok Clan has nothing to do with the Shadow Council?
