The Heavenly Court is the entity that operates the Three Realms on behalf of the Heavenly Dao and exercises the authority of the Heavenly Dao. All gods have divine duties, and now that the divine positions have been appointed and the responsibilities have been clarified, the benefits of having more divine positions have become apparent.

Zhu Xiang immediately stepped forward and said, "Your Majesty, I am in charge of military affairs and oversee all matters of war in the Three Realms. It is my duty to slay demons and eliminate evil, and to cleanse the Three Realms!"

"It is in accordance with the will of Heaven that I lead this expedition; it is most appropriate!"

Zhu Xiang's voice echoed in the Lingxiao Palace, and Ksitigarbha's brows furrowed immediately. This was troublesome. Gods had duties, and matters of war in the Heavenly Court were usually under the jurisdiction of the Fighting Department.

However, neither Doumu Yuanjun, the chief goddess of the Dou tribe, nor Gouchen Dadi, who assisted Haotian in managing the military affairs of the Heavenly Court, were on his side. The two were from the human race and the Jie sect.
