Let's talk about something off topic.

I have been writing novels for three years, and have been working on several platforms.

After three months in the industry, I have achieved some results.

And it has already started to have the first batch of readers, and the name Wang Xin has become known to more and more people. I really thought that I was barely a semi-talented writer. The first book I wrote after entering the industry was my worst-performing book ever. The performance has almost been steadily rising.

I once wrote an introduction in just two hours.

I can write four or five beginnings a day, and each beginning is interesting and I am quite satisfied with them. I used to be able to update up to three books at the same time, each book had a different plot, and all three books achieved pretty good results.

Even for some of my books, I didn’t decide on the specific subject matter until I had written more than a dozen chapters, and I just started writing. The subject matter and the direction of the plot were all thought of later.

Recently, in order to start a new book, I have written more than twenty versions. The draft box in the background is almost full, but I still cannot write an introduction that satisfies me enough. Suddenly, a sense of fear and helplessness of "running out of talent" enveloped me, making me extremely anxious and helpless.

This situation is actually very simple, it is just "knowing a little too much" and "output is greater than input".

I didn’t know how to write novels before, I just wrote whatever was fun.

Now that I understand more and have more things to consider, it has become increasingly difficult to write. It feels like a middle-aged man changing eighteen different postures in three minutes. It is useless and unsightly, and is totally inferior to the boy’s ability to defeat ten with one strength.

Finally, I let it go.

Since I couldn't think of an introduction and subject matter that satisfied me enough, I decided to reward myself with a book and write a novel with a niche theme of "weird + survival + game". I can't just give up because I can't come up with a satisfactory introduction, otherwise I'll have to take a break until after the New Year. I have work anxiety disorder, and once I don't work for a long time, I will be very anxious.

Then reward yourself by writing a book you want to write.

Let’s talk about it after I finish this one. It will be finished in about half a year, which means I can start a new book just after the New Year. By then I should be able to come up with a satisfactory beginning and subject matter.

The name of the new book is "A Strange Journey into the Past".

Logically speaking, it is impossible for me to choose such a four-character book title with an unclear selling point, but since I have already identified it as a reward for myself, I might as well choose it. I thought about it for a long time among the four channels of fantasy, online games, science fiction, and suspense, and finally decided to post it in online games.

The reason is very simple. I have never been to the online game channel, but there are still many online game elements. I went to see the scenery of the online game channel.
The original title of the book was "Old Paradise", but it was taken. "Ghost Tour" also fits the theme, but it's not as catchy as "Paradise". It feels a bit awkward. I'll see if the editor can find a way to change it after he starts working.
