Chapter 237: To achieve peace, we must promote the trend of humanity! Humanitarian reforms have lasted for three generations!

Luofu was not an ordinary disciple of the Hundred Schools of Thought. He was educated in Confucianism and was even a disciple of Confucianism himself, but was expelled from the school.

Just the words from Han Fei, "There is no good or evil in the heart, but there are good or evil intentions in the actions," are enough to make people feel how profound Luo Fu's attainments in Confucianism are.

He raised this seemingly simple topic and answered it with Confucian ideas, and was completely fooled. It would be better to say that this was exactly what Luofu wanted.

Unfortunately, Fu Nian reacted a little late, perhaps because of his emphasis on Luofu, and the fact that achieving peace was the first concept proposed by Confucianism.

When Luofu used the argument of bringing peace to the country, both Fu Nian and other Confucian disciples overlooked a key point. Luofu was not a Confucian disciple in the ordinary sense. He was a man who dared to spread the word early, swept through the mountain stronghold robbers, and came to Xiaoshengxianzhuang with great fanfare to kick things off.

After calming down, Fu Nian's expression suddenly became solemn.

He stared at Luo Fu and said, "Please give me some advice, uncle."

"If we want to achieve peace, I wonder whether we should follow the example of the previous king or the next king, my nephew?" Luo Fu not only did not answer, but threw out a second question.

The so-called following the example of the previous kings is undoubtedly a Confucian view, while following the example of the later kings actually falls within the scope of the Legalist concept.

To follow the example of the previous kings is to pursue the rule of the three dynasties in ancient times, while to follow the example of the later kings is to believe that the present must be better than the past, and the future must be better than the present, so it is necessary to follow the example of the later kings.

For Confucianism, this question does not need to be answered at all, because following the example of the ancient kings is the foundation of Confucianism's pursuit of the rule of the Three Dynasties.

But this time, Fu Nian didn't dare to answer casually. In fact, every question from Luo Fu seemed like a trap.

One cannot help but be careless, inattentive, and not take it seriously.

Seeing Fu Nian silent, Luo Fu smiled and asked again: "Master brother, how do you interpret the tricks and devices, the scheming and deceit?"

The judgment that one is cunning and deceitful actually comes from Zhuangzi, but was absorbed by Confucianists like Zisi and turned into an ironclad judgment defending the system of the ruler-ruler, the minister-minister, the father-father, and the son-son.

Of course, on this point, Confucianism is more used to attack Mohism.

After all, the Mohists can be regarded as modern scientists. Their scheming, trickery and deceit are now one of the important arguments to belittle the Mohists.

In the future, this concept was further carried forward by corrupt scholars and became a so-called strange and cunning trick, blocking the path of scientific and technological development.

Luofu's philosophy itself is a hodgepodge of the future, packaged with Cheng-Zhu Neo-Confucianism and Yangming's philosophy of mind, with modern Marxist-Leninist materialism as its core, and naturally it advocates scientific and technological progress.

It can be said that no matter whether Luofu wins or loses this discussion, there are only two results. Either Confucianism will hold its nose and accept Luofu back into its school, making it the ninth school within Confucianism, independent of the other eight schools.

When it comes to promoting scientific and technological progress, it is not true that all Confucians do not hold the same attitude. Among other Confucian schools, there are also some that promote scientific and technological progress.

But in Confucianism, these people are like outliers.

If Luofu really raises its own Confucian banner, those Confucian disciples who have been previously belittled and advocate scientific and technological progress will certainly regard themselves as descendants of Luofu.

This is also the fastest way for Luofu to take over the magpie's nest.

These questions raised by Luofu are not groundless.

From bringing peace, to following the example of the previous kings and the later kings, to the current theories of trickery and scheming, the theories are completely consistent.

The goal is to bring about peace, the process is to follow the example of the previous and later kings, and the means is to use mechanical changes, decorations, cunning and technological progress as a means.

These three questions, perhaps in the eyes of most Confucian disciples, are arguments designed to embarrass people, but people like Xunzi and a few other Confucian giants reacted quickly to them.

Xunzi glanced calmly at the bigwigs of other Confucian schools. At this moment, Xunzi had made up his mind to bring Luofu into Confucianism and let Luofu create his own school.

However, Confucianism is not a one-man show of Xunzi. Among Confucianism, only the Confucians of the Sun family will spare no effort to support Xunzi, because the Confucians of the Sun family are represented by Xunzi.

Other schools of thought obviously would not agree with Luofu and Xunzi's ideas.

Luo Fu asked three questions in a row, leaving Fu Nian unable to answer.

The Six-Fingered Black Knight, a great figure of the Mohist school who came to watch the ceremony, was overwhelmed by the huge surprise brought by Luofu.

Because in the eyes of the Six-Fingered Black Knight, the leader of the Mohist school, Luofu is simply in line with the Mohist philosophy.

In the process of moving towards Confucianism, he was like a typical Mohist knight, and his attitude towards achieving peace, following the example of the previous kings and the next kings, and using tricks, manipulation, and cunning were exactly the same as those of the Mohists.

You know, the Mohist school's mechanical skills are well-known throughout the world, and the only one who can compare with it is probably Gongshu's school.

Moreover, Gongshujia and Mojia had never won in the previous competition over mechanical engineering.

It can be said that mechanical engineering is the representative of Mohism.

"Daozhi." The six-fingered black hero looked at the yellow-haired Daozhi beside him impatiently and said, "This turn is almost over. You can go to Luofu in my name and invite him to have a chat."

It was the first time that Dao Zhi saw Six-Fingered Black Knight so surprised, and suddenly an idea popped up in his mind that even he himself could not believe.

Could it be that the master was planning to invite Luo Fu to join the Mohist School? Or even...even to make Luo Fu the next master of the Mohist School?
The great Mohist masters actually did not attach much importance to seniority.

Otherwise, Prince Dan of Yan would not have killed the Six-Fingered Black Knight and become the next leader of the Mohist School in the name of the Six-Fingered Black Knight's succession.

Prince Dan of Yan inherited the position of the leader of the Mohist school. Although there were some twists and turns, it was smooth sailing. This shows that the Mohist school itself was not so dogmatic in its ideas.

It is no surprise that the leader Dao Zhi would make such a bold guess.

Even Dao Zhi himself felt that Luofu's philosophy was indeed in perfect agreement with the Mohist school. More importantly, Luofu was practicing what he preached. His actions along the way were in line with the Mohist school, and now, he was even more perfectly standing on the Mohist school's philosophy.

After thinking about it carefully, Dao Zhi himself felt that Luo Fu was very suitable to inherit the identity of the Six-Fingered Black Knight and the leader of the Mohist school.

While thinking this in his mind, Dao Zhi agreed immediately.

Luo Fu, who was discussing the Dao, asked Fu Nian questions one after another, leaving him speechless. Then he began to tout his own ideological theories that combined Cheng-Zhu Neo-Confucianism, Yangming's philosophy of mind, and modern Marxist-Leninist materialism.

It has to be admitted that although Luofu's theory is a product of a hodgepodge, it integrates the wisdom of thousands of years and has self-consistent logic. I don't know how many people have been given a sense of feasibility by it.

Luofu, in particular, starts from the ancient times of slash-and-burn farming and explains how much impact the development of so-called mechanical devices, cunning and deceitful technology has had on human civilization.

As Luofu began to peddle his own doctrine, all the philosophers present, even the host Confucians themselves, listened attentively.

This discussion will not just last for one day.

Instead, it would last for several days. The first discussion on the Tao was just a prelude. Moreover, since the birth of this way of discussing the Tao among the various schools of thought, the method of selling one's own doctrines and ideas through discussing the Tao has been recognized by the world.

Of course, this is the privilege of the winner, and today, there is no doubt that Luo Fu is the winner.

For Confucianism, the disadvantage in the first battle was nothing to worry about.

At worst, in the subsequent discussions, we can just seize the flaws in Luofu's theory and pursue it relentlessly. Letting Luofu sell his ideas is also the only way to find the flaws in his theory.

After all, if you want to find the opponent's flaws, you must first understand the opponent.

Now, for Confucianists, their understanding of Luofu is just a few words.

"Sister, this guy is really good at what he does." The Moon Goddess took a quick look and saw that the original discussion had turned into a solo show for Luofu, as if he was teaching the various philosophers and envoys from various countries present. The Moon Goddess couldn't help but reveal a look of surprise.

Compared to Yueshen's indifference to Luofu, Dongjun Feiyan really began to listen to the principles that Luofu was selling.

That perfectly self-consistent logic has been expounded from ancient times to the present evolution of human civilization.

The bird's-eye view, as if jumping out of the long river of time and observing the changes in the world, really opened Dongjun Feiyan's eyes. In her heart, she unconsciously developed a certain admiration for Luofu that she herself had not even realized.

"Shut up." Dongjun Feiyan angrily scolded Yueshen, saying, "Mr. Luofu is now talking about the truth of heaven and man. How can you be so disrespectful?"

The Moon Goddess' eyes suddenly widened.

In her opinion, there was nothing attractive about what Luofu said. In the eyes of the Moon Goddess, Luofu's own strength was more important to her than the principles he was talking about.

As Luofu's narration became more and more profound, from the development of productivity to the evolution of production relations, the various philosophers and envoys from various countries present all listened thoughtfully.

Soon, after Luo Fu finished explaining the outline of the theory.

A Taoist disciple stood up, bowed to Luo Fu, and said, "I am Zong Muxu from the Taoist sect, nice to meet you, Mr. Luo Fu!"

After the ceremony, the Taoist disciple who called himself Mu Xu said, "As you said, the development of technology will make people lose their original hearts and cause chaos in the world. The five hundred years of war are the stage of rapid development of technology, which is the reason for the progress from... from the Bronze Age to the Iron Age. If so, why don't we stop the development of technology? Wouldn't it be possible to return to the ancient rule?"

The so-called technology is a name Luofu temporarily gives to the development of science and technology. After all, in the current era, he can't just call it productivity, right?

At the very least, at this stage, Luofu is not yet able to name scientific and technological development based on its own academic status.

Luo Fu was not in a hurry to answer Mu Xu's question, and he also recognized Mu Xu's identity.

Right now, the other party is just a disciple of the Taoist Ren Sect, but when the Qin Dynasty unifies the world in the future, this Mu Xu will suddenly become the elder of the Taoist Ren Sect, Mu Xuzi, and he will also be a person who opposes the leader of the Taoist Ren Sect, Xiaoyaozi.

After a pause and giving everyone present some time, Luo Fu explained calmly: "What you said does make sense, but doing so is equivalent to letting me, the nobles of the Chinese nation, degenerate and return to the days of eating raw meat and drinking blood. Whether it is food, clothing, housing, or transportation, we will all return to the ancient times. Abandon luxurious clothes, from the princes and nobles to the common people, all will do the same. Eat raw meat and drink blood, live in caves, and travel by horse-drawn carriages. Are you willing?" Mu Xu was speechless. After hesitating for a moment, he gritted his teeth and said: "If we can return to the ancient times, then... then I am willing."

Mu Xu's words caused an uproar among everyone present.

He is willing, but others are not.

Especially for the nobles, isn't it good to just enjoy the splendor and wealth? Why should they abandon all technological development and pursue a return to the ancient times?
"That's the human heart." Luo Fu smiled, and waited until the surroundings were quiet again before he said, "Mr. Muxu, since you are a disciple of Taoism, you should know that everyone in the world knows that beauty is beauty, and that is evil; everyone knows that goodness is goodness, and that is not goodness, right?"

How could you not understand this? This is a famous saying from the Tao Te Ching of Lao Tzu, the founder of Taoism.

Whether it is the Taoist Renzong or the Taoist Tianzong, although they have been divided for many years, in fact, both sides have problems with their own ideas, but their foundation has not been shaken, unlike the Yin-Yang School, which even changed the foundation of Taoism.

After receiving Mu Xu's affirmative answer, Luo Fu said, "We are the noble descendants of Yanhuang. We have gone through thousands of years of vicissitudes to achieve what we have today. You just want to return to the ancient rule and want to abandon the thousand-year-old path of pursuit. This is not good, and you are even an enemy of mankind, a beast."

For a moment, Mu Xu was speechless after being scolded.

Although he had just said stubbornly that he was willing to give up everything he had and return to the ancient times, Mu Xu himself knew that even he was unwilling to do so in his heart, let alone asking the entire world to give up all development and return to the days of eating raw meat and drinking blood.

In a trance, Mu Xu actually shed tears.

He said sadly: "If this is the case, won't people's hearts become more corrupt, and the ancient rule will never return?"

Mu Xu's words immediately touched the softest parts of the hearts of all the philosophers and schools of thought present.

Leaving aside those dignitaries and envoys from various countries, except for a very few, the vast majority of the various schools of thought were truly seeking for the future.

Even for the ideals and principles in their hearts, the descendants of various schools of thought are willing to sacrifice their lives.

But according to Luo Fu's theory, people's selfishness will inevitably decline with the development of technology, and people's hearts are no longer the same as before, which will only make them further away from the ancient healing methods.

The ideals in the hearts of countless people will only become more and more distant as time goes by.

This could not help but make those present sigh in their hearts, and some even had tears in their eyes.

Even Luo Fu, the instigator himself, couldn't help but recall the moral decline before he traveled through time.

It seems that with the passage of time, the bottom line of morality is indeed constantly decreasing with the development of productivity.

People are selfish and there is no way to change that!
Luofu inexplicably thought of the Super God Universe.

At this moment, he suddenly had an epiphany. Perhaps the righteous order of the angels and the peace and prosperity of the Lieyang country were due to seeing this kind of situation. Therefore, they used strict rules to restrain people's hearts, right?

Unexpectedly, the statement that seemed like a joke in the shared space before is now actually coming true.

When he first entered the shared space, Luo Fu joked to himself in other worlds that if he established a theoretical system, then the rich second-generation super god could completely copy his achievements and establish his own order.

It was at this time that Luo Fu realized that his previous joke might really come true in the future.

Inexplicably, Luo Fu recalled a passage that he had seen somewhere and at some time before he traveled through time.

In the development of human history, every change has only two choices, one bad and one not so bad.

In this case, the only option that is not that bad becomes the only one.

Before traveling through time, Luofu had heard a lot of remarks that belittled Confucianism. It was true that Confucianism had a lot of problems, but it was undeniable that Confucianism had indeed established a complete moral system.

The best way to destroy the Confucian moral system is to replace it with a brand new moral system. However, if the Confucian moral system is destroyed without establishing a new system, it will be a disaster.

This is where moral decline comes from.

And now, Luofu wants to use the skin of Confucianism to fill in its own ideas, and to sort out a new order like the just order of the super-god universe and the peace and prosperity of the country under the scorching sun from the current hodgepodge of crude fusion of Cheng-Zhu Neo-Confucianism, Yangming School of Mind and modern Marxist-Leninist materialism.

Thinking of this, Luo Fu instantly perked up, and said with a bit of bewitching tone: "People's hearts are not the same as before, so we should promote education. At the beginning of life, there is no good or evil. Good and evil are not the laws of nature, but the way of man. There is no good or evil in the heart, but there are good and evil intentions. Knowing good and evil is conscience, doing good and eliminating evil is the study of things. Education alone is among the corrupt scholars. Although it can restrain people's hearts, it cannot bring peace. If you want to bring peace, you should promote the trend of humanity! The transformation of humanity has lasted for three generations."

"Excuse me sir, which third generation is this?" Mu Xu asked Luofu with red eyes.

It has to be admitted that Luofu's theory, while being logically self-consistent, did indeed make many of the disciples of the Hundred Schools of Thought feel despair.

I don’t know how many people have had their pursuits destroyed by Luofu’s ideas.

Now is a good time for Luofu to quickly raise its flag, consolidate its own theories and ideas, and win people's hearts.

Once Luofu completes this process, all Confucianism can do is to obediently acknowledge Luofu as the authentic Confucianism and the young great master of Confucianism.

Or, Luofu could simply create his own doctrine like Mozi did.

In fact, Luo Fu's series of logical inferences have no flaws at all, even in this world of fantasy and martial arts.

After all, this is a truth that has stood the test of more than two thousand years.

“If you want to achieve peace, you must go through a prosperous world. If you want to reach a prosperous world, you must go through a chaotic world.” Luo Fu did not hesitate to bring the terms of the Gongyang Interpretation of the Spring and Autumn Annals, which would not appear until the Eastern Han Dynasty, to the present.

Of course, what Luofu borrowed was just a noun.

The Three-era Theory of the Gongyang School of Confucianism divides the social order, chaos, rise and fall into three eras: decline, chaos, prosperity, and peace.

But the peaceful world as understood by Luofu is the highest pursuit of Marxism-Leninism, which is completely different from the Gongyang School's theory of three worlds.

"The chaotic times are now here." Luo Fu said decisively, "And now is the end of the chaotic times!"

"Sir, are you saying that the troubled times will end?" Mu Xu's eyes suddenly lit up.

Not only him, but also the many disciples of various schools of thought present showed expressions of surprise.

In fact, ending the chaotic times is the common pursuit and ideal goal of all schools of thought.

Whether it is Confucianism, Mohism, Taoism, Legalism... the ultimate goal of their doctrines is to end the chaotic times and bring peace!

But until now, countless sages have proposed countless solutions, but ultimately they have not been able to bring an end to the troubled times.

But Luofu now declares with certainty that the troubled times will end.

This made the many disciples from the hundreds of schools present excited.

After the excitement, the many disciples of the hundreds of schools quickly calmed down and began to look forward to Luofu’s so-called prosperous and peaceful world.

In fact, according to normal historical development, the core book of the Gongyang School, Gongyang Zhuan, would have existed by now, but we don't know whether it has been put into writing.

But now, when Luofu was the first to propose the Three-World Theory, his theory was destined to either swallow up the budding Gongyang School of Confucianism in the future, or for Luofu to establish his own school and incorporate the Gongyang School into it.

Luofu had no intention of giving away the plot. Besides, there were many people who could foresee that it would be the Qin Dynasty that would unify the world in the future.

Compared with predicting the future, Luo Fu is now more keen on sorting out and improving his own theoretical system.

After receiving a positive answer from Luofu that the troubled times would soon end, everyone quickly began to look forward to the prosperous and peaceful times as taught by Luofu.

Luofu originally intended to rely on the story of the three lives as a signboard to gather people's hearts, so of course he would not keep this issue in suspense.

Moreover, his theory of three generations seems to have incorporated the development stages of modern Marxism-Leninism into it.

Different from Confucius and Mencius, and even Xunzi and others present here, these Confucianists and even the predecessors of other schools of thought all enjoyed the pursuit of peace.

But in Luofu's eyes, these enjoyments are too trivial.

In fact, now all the schools of thought are in a dilemma. The Hundred Schools of Thought began to emerge in the Spring and Autumn Period. After hundreds of years of contention, the world is still in chaos.

Luofu was to provide all the schools of thought with a practical theory that could lead to peace.

"In a peaceful era, Mencius's moderately prosperous governance is the beginning of a peaceful era. If a house of five mu is planted with mulberry trees, people of fifty can wear silk. If chickens, pigs, dogs and pigs are raised at the right time, people of seventy can eat meat. If a field of one hundred mu is not taken away at the right time, a family of several people can be free from hunger. If the teachings in schools are strict and the principles of filial piety and brotherhood are emphasized, the elderly will not have to carry heavy loads on the road. People of seventy can wear silk and eat meat. The people will not be hungry or cold. However, there has never been a country that does not rule."

These words were actually Luofu's direct recitation of Mencius' original text.

This is also a well-known enjoyment among Confucianism and even among all the schools of thought.

But it is undeniable that even now, this kind of enjoyment is still far away, and even exists only among Confucianists and other philosophers.

Luofu's theory was so wonderful, so wonderful that even the Confucian disciples who had been eyeing Luofu with hostility before were now filled with excitement and joy after listening to it.

Fu Nian, the Confucian leader who had just been speechless during Luofu's discussion, couldn't wait to say: "

What happens after the peaceful world?"

"In a peaceful world, it should be just as Laozi said, the best governance is when the chickens and dogs can hear each other, but the people will not interact with each other until they die of old age!"
