Anyone who has ever shot at a target knows that in order to avoid stray bullets injuring people during live-fire shooting, there is usually a tall object behind the target, which is generally called a target block.

The village where Li Long lives is located on the southern edge of the Junggar Basin, dozens of kilometers away from the mountain. It is impossible for him to go to the mountain just to shoot a target.

The militia's shooting training was not as formal as that of the army, but they had all the basics, such as the person firing the bullet, the shooting ground line, the waiting area, etc. Anyway, they were all in the snow, so they could just mark a spot. The target was set up 100 meters away, only 20 to 30 meters away from the dam, so that even if the bullet flew away, it would basically hit the dam.

You need to calibrate your gun before shooting. Today the weather is nice and cloudy, so you don't need to worry about fading light.

Virtual light is actually the sunlight shining down. When people aim, their eyes can see a little bit of reflection at the position of the notch of the crosshairs. This thing will affect the shooting accuracy.

Li Long was also selected as one of the gun calibrators. After all, he had used guns more than others this year.

The more you shoot, the more proficient you will become. This is the truth. As for whether you can practice shooting, that is another matter.

Xu Chengjun pulled Li Long over to check the gun, and Li Long knew one of the reasons. Today Xu Chengjun brought a metal box of bullets, which contained 1,500 rounds.

If the gun is calibrated, you can use any bullets you want. If the gun is not calibrated well or is difficult to calibrate, just fire a few more shots.

The second gun had slightly more problems, and Li Long calibrated it twice to pass the test.

The two people proofread it very quickly. Xu Chengjun went over to play with it, tried it out, and gave some suggestions.

Then he turned around and asked Li Long for the serial number of the gun he had just used.

Obviously, Xu Chengjun will use this gun for shooting later.

The shooting results will be recorded.

Li Long reported the gun numbers, placed the two guns next to the gunner, and returned to the team.

The shooting that follows is different from what you usually see and imagine.

After each person takes a gun and bullets, they fire five shots at a time, and each person has to shoot five groups.

Each person was given a bag of bullets with 25 rounds. After finishing a set, they would look at the target to see where they missed the target.

After one group finishes, another group will take over.

In the past, we actually used our own guns to shoot, but most people didn’t know how to calibrate their guns. This time the training time was relatively short, so we had to specifically calibrate the shooting guns.

Li Long originally thought that he would not have to go up, but Xu Chengjun still called him over, gave him a bag of bullets, and asked him to shoot according to the rules.

After the three classes had finished fighting, Xu Chengjun called out Li Long and three other people, and then asked the others to go back.

"The four of you will be ready to participate in the village militia competition. Actually, it's not a formal competition. Since the militia is going to train, they must have some results. This year, the county and the village haven't done a big competition, so you can just watch and compete. Now, I'll give each of you four packs of bullets. You can shoot as you like. When the others saw that he didn't want to fight anymore, they stopped fighting too and just went back.
