Chapter 396 Felicia the Twins

Just as the confrontation was about to begin, something unexpected happened.

The Silver Moon Witch, unwilling to sit idly by and await her doom, made a final stand, within the realm of Keton's understanding.

What I didn't expect was that it would end up being a defensive spell.

She cast a Silver Moon Shield on Green, clearly placing her hopes on him.

This is nothing to fear.

The Demon Hunter Knights possess the power to ward off magic. Even with two layers of shields, let alone one, they would not be able to stop the charge of a sixth-tier Demon Hunter Knight!
Even with the Silver Moon Gem, a low-ranking witch would have no chance against him.

But the young knight clearly had no intention of returning alive; he was probably prepared to trade his life for injury, or even his life for death.

Keton is experienced and therefore very wary of this kind of thing.

He was only human; he would die if his head or neck was chopped off.

However, the development of the situation and the changes in the battle were all within his control.

Most likely, you'll be unharmed, at most suffering minor injuries.

He had traveled to the northern lands, only to have his spine severed by the Nightmare Witch, resulting in the annihilation of his entire army of fifty demon hunters. He lay in bed for more than half a year and used Blood Coral to heal his wounds, but he was still not fully recovered. If the Conqueror's Curse had not been lifted, and he had benefited from it, he would have had to lie in bed for another three or four years to fully recover.

Although a knight's peak period is long, it can't withstand this kind of abuse; if he lies down for a few more years, his martial arts will be completely ruined.

This is my first mission since recovering; I must deliver the gem to the Holy See!

He made a grave mistake in the northern lands, wiping out most of the Demon Hunter Knights' fighting strength. He must spend his entire life making amends for this error and will not allow himself to fail a second time!
But he never expected this to happen.

The powerful and surging beam of magical energy shot straight towards us!
It looks like a battering ram!
He and his horse were blasted away!
Green only felt a blur before his eyes, and the enemy who had been putting so much pressure on him disappeared.

He was stunned, drew his sword, looked around, and felt completely lost.

But Green soon spotted the culprit behind this scene, standing on a rock not far away.

Not one person, but two.

They looked alike, with long golden hair, emerald green eyes, and were young and beautiful. They stood side by side, their fingers intertwined. They wore the same loose mage robes, and the lingering magical energy emanating from them still lingered.

"Lady Felicia!" Lysa almost burst into tears of joy upon seeing them.

"The Twin Felicias?" Grimm asked in surprise, somewhat dreamily, "The Seat Witch?"

The twin witches said to the witch hunter, "I think you really are treating the Witch Forest as if it doesn't exist."

“You wouldn’t dare show yourselves so easily, would you?” Keton stood up unharmed, his black clothes torn, revealing the mithril chainmail underneath, which gleamed in the sunlight.

Keton was blasted ten meters away, his warhorse not far behind. The horse's skin rubbed against the gravel, tearing its hide and revealing large patches of raw, bloody flesh. It struggled to its feet, blood gushing from its mouth as it tried to find its master, but its internal organs were mangled and it was not far from death.

Keton believed it to be an excellent warhorse, said to have the blood of the Highland Horse King, bathed in the glory of the gods since its foal days, and comparable to a third or fourth-rank knight, capable of carrying thousands of pounds.

On the battlefield, they would be heavily armored, and the twin witches' magic would never have reduced them to this state, nor could it have even brought them down.

Because the attack came so suddenly, they didn't have time to build up their strength before unleashing it.

This wasn't a battlefield, and the mithril chainmail could only protect him alone, so he suffered a great loss.

He sneered sharply. "The witches are like stray dogs, hiding deep within the Demon Mountain."

“Now we’re here,” the twins said simultaneously, their voices overlapping. “What are you and your gods going to do with us?!”

"Then I will act in the name of the gods... to slay the evil from this world!" Keton declared powerfully. He tore off the rags covering his body, revealing his mithril armor gleaming, and held a golden spear, aiming it at the two Felicias.

The twin witches interlock their fingers and simultaneously raise their other hand!

boom!
A powerful beam of magical energy traced a straight path through the air! The response was both simple and decisive!

Kerton didn't have time to cast Holy Light Shield; his spellcasting skills were utterly ineffective against the Seat Witch.

So he flew out and smashed through an eroded rock.

"I really want to kill you!" both twin witches said.

A sixth-tier Dawn Knight is definitely a big shot in the church, second only to a legendary paladin in terms of combat prowess.

Such a fighter rarely gets a chance to be alone, I really want to kill him.

"The gods will protect me! Your spells cannot harm me." Keton emerged from the rubble, his mithril armor spotless and unharmed. The precious and powerful chainmail could greatly reduce the damage from spells.

"Lady Felicia!" Lysa forcefully threw the Silver Moon Gem to the twin witches.

The twins stood side by side, their fingers intertwined, while their other two hands were raised to hold the incoming gem in mid-air.

Wow!
A dazzling silver light burst forth from the depths of the gem, and a powerful force flowed between the twins and the gem, together emanating a terrifying aura.

That powerful force even began to lift their feet off the ground, suspending them in mid-air, their wide robes fluttering in the wind, making them appear like deities descending!

Keton's expression changed instantly. He leaped away from his spot, and the next second, the area was bombarded with magic.

boom!
Rocks shattered!

Wherever Keton ran, those beams of light followed, destroying everything in their path.

The spell's power increased several times over, incomparable to before. Kerton's speed was astonishing, comparable to a cheetah and a warhorse, and he was constantly forced back, the ground rumbling.

"Lady Felicia!" Grimm shouted. "If you cannot kill him quickly, then spare his life."

The twin witches stopped casting their spells.

“You may have forgotten, but this man is a member of the Demon Hunter Knights.” Green pointed at the disheveled Demon Hunter Knight. Keton was panting, his eyes blazing with malice. He said, “Come on, come on! I’ll kill you all, you bitches!”

"Ladies! Don't fall for his trick. The demon hunters behind them will probably catch up soon," Green warned.

These witches are powerful in combat, but lack a strategic vision. He didn't know if they had ever witnessed the imposing presence of dozens of knights charging towards them. If they were caught, some might survive, but they certainly wouldn't be among them.

He had commanded such an army before; hundreds of special knights could do so much. Even with the Silver Moon Gem, the Twin Witches couldn't withstand a dozen or so Demon Hunter Knights; they would only be surrounded and killed.

Felicia exchanged a glance with Felicia, dispelled the spell, and landed lightly on her small feet, her robes returning to normal.

They spoke at the same time. "Knight of Dawn, the one who should kill you isn't us, but someone else. She sees you as her mortal enemy, and even in her slumber, she wants to kill you—you must know her. You've killed too many of her people; that's the deepest, most unforgivable hatred. And she's about to awaken, so prepare yourself... prepare to die!"

After the twin witches finished speaking, they prepared to leave.

After thinking for a moment, Greene uttered a harsh threat before leaving: "You just wait, I'll bring a hundred men to find you!"

He vaguely understood something.

This was arranged by the prophet. It was Isabella who sent Lysa to retrieve the Silver Moon Gem. She must have foreseen some crisis. The Twin Witches were there to meet them, and they were stuck at a very delicate juncture.

This group has always been shrouded in mystery. Even though there are many witches in the valley, Green still has no way of knowing the details of the witch forest.

Keton stood there, watching their departing figures, not pursuing them further, but coldly uttering a single sentence: "The Frost Witch..."

After saying that, Keton staggered and almost lost his balance, his whole body wracked with pain.

Faced with the twin witches' fierce offensive, his mithril chainmail protected him, but the process was not so simple. He narrowly escaped death several times, leaving him with serious injuries. He was risking his life to buy time, but unfortunately, he still failed.

"The power of the gods is also reviving, and sooner or later... sooner or later... all evil will be purified..."
