Chapter 607 Tianhao and Gu An

All the projected bodies of the three thousand worlds are pursuing the Great Dao of Cause and Effect. They have exhausted their energy and time throughout their lives. Although Gu An does not know how long they have lived or what realm they have finally reached, their understanding of the Great Dao of Cause and Effect, when gathered together, is incomparably vast.

Gu An looked at Tian Hao, and Tian Hao's future rapidly unfolded in his eyes.

Two hundred million years!
Three hundred million years!
Five hundred million years!
Soon, Tianhao's life spanning a billion years was all within his sight.

Gu An saw countless lines of fate on him, among which one was the brightest. That was a destiny that had not been interfered with by the power of the current great world, a life path predetermined by heaven. Following this line, Gu An could see everything that would happen to him in the future.

Tianhao will become the strongest in the Tianling Great World. He will travel to the Great Dao, challenge other Great Thousand Worlds, and even venture into realms beyond the Great Thousand Worlds.

This is a legendary path; he has never failed.

Tianhao was very nervous when faced with Gu An's gaze. He lowered his eyes and dared not meet Gu An's eyes.

The others also sensed a sharp aura emanating from Gu An, and none of them dared to speak, thinking that they were being too noisy and disturbing Gu An, thus displeasing him.

Everyone felt tense; it was the first time they had ever seen Gu An lose his temper.

Fortunately, the coldness on Gu An's face disappeared not long afterward.

"Why are you all looking at me?" Gu An asked with a smile.

Seeing his familiar smile, everyone breathed a sigh of relief and smiled back.

Anxin asked first, "Master, did you just have an epiphany?"

Gu An replied, "Hmm, I seem to have some understanding. Alright, you can all leave now. You can't expect me to explain my insights into this realm to you, can you?"

Upon hearing this, everyone looked embarrassed. They dared not inquire further, especially since they had no idea what realm Gu An was at.

They all bowed and took their leave.

Tianhao stayed behind. He leaped across the stream and came to Gu An's side, asking, "Master, the Dao Court is holding the Eternal Gathering of Prodigies, claiming that such a grand event will only be held once every ten thousand years. Do you think I should participate? I want to go, but the elders in the sect are afraid that something might happen to me. The Dao Court is the ruler of all under heaven, so it shouldn't do such a thing, right?"

Many renowned geniuses have gone to the Taoist temple to cultivate, and the Taoist temple has never harmed them.

Gu An replied, "One should always be wary of others. Your biggest problem right now is that you haven't experienced hardship and failure, which is also a good thing. As your teacher, I hope you will never fail."

Tianhao glared and shouted, "No way! I've been defeated by you before!"

"You brat, you dare to argue with your master about winning and losing?"

"Then why don't you try losing to me?"

"Ok?"

"I was wrong, I was talking nonsense!"

Tianhao was startled by Gu An's glare and quickly apologized.

Afterwards, Gu An asked him about his experiences over the years, and he answered truthfully, in high spirits.

Gu An understood Tian Hao's thoughts. This kid had always wanted to find an opportunity to get along well with him. Before they came of age, although they were both at the dojo, Gu An wouldn't always play with him.

Of course, what this kid wanted most was Gu An's praise.

Gu An just wouldn't satisfy him.

This kid is already arrogant enough; we must leave him some leeway so he doesn't get too cocky.

As they chatted, Tianhao leaned against the rock, looking up at Gu An, but did not sit down next to him.

He was indeed arrogant, but he held Gu An in awe and didn't want to break that attitude. He hoped to always respect his master, so that he would have a goal. He had surpassed so many predecessors, making him feel that the path of cultivation was simple. Only by comparing himself to his master could he feel motivation and anticipation. He hoped that his master would always be stronger than him, so that he wouldn't be alone on the path of cultivation.

From Tianhao's words, Gu An could sense his sense of belonging to the Qiankun Sect. He did not look down on his sect because of his own achievements, which made Gu An even more satisfied with him.

The leader of the Qiankun Sect, Yi Qingshan, is the reincarnation of his junior brother, Lu Jiujia. Gu An had his own selfish reasons for asking them to establish cause and effect, but he would not blindly support the Qiankun Sect if it went astray.

Whether the Way of Heaven and the Great Way should have feelings, Gu An didn't know; he only knew that he wanted to walk the path of feelings.

He doesn't want to set too many rules for himself; he just does what he feels like.

If he wants to have pity on the common people, he will have pity.

He doesn't want to get close to people, so he stays away.

His greatest kindness toward all things is that he will not kill indiscriminately.

"By the way, Master, they told me a lot about your past. You had so many disciples, who was your favorite?" Tianhao suddenly asked curiously.

Gu An glanced at him, and he quickly added, "Except for me."

"You're overthinking it. How could it be you?" Gu An said irritably.

Tianhao wasn't embarrassed; he just chuckled.

Gu An continued, "My favorite disciple should be An Hao. He was the first disciple I truly devoted myself to teaching, and also the first disciple I adopted. Just like you, he was born with the strongest talent."

Tianhao's eyes lit up, and he asked, "Is he Senior Sister Anxin's brother?"

He had heard of An Hao's name before, but the people in the dojo didn't talk about it much, as if they were somewhat wary of it.

“Yes, they are from the same village…” Gu An began to recount An Hao’s life.

Tianhao listened attentively. This time, Gu An spoke a lot, which made him very happy and made him feel closer to his master.

They talked until dusk.

The sky was ablaze with crimson clouds, a poignant beauty in the heavens.

After hearing An Hao's life story, Tian Hao was deeply moved and his emotions remained unsettled for a long time.

Gu An looked at Tian Hao and asked, "What do you think is better than An Hao? And what are you worse at?"

Tianhao pondered and said, "I will not abandon my family like him, but I don't seem to have his determination. He can sacrifice himself for the world, but I can't. At most, I can do my best for the Qiankun Sect."

Gu An smiled but did not comment on Tian Hao's thoughts.

He looked up at the twilight sky and said softly, "Hao'er, I named you Hao because of An Hao. I hope you will go further than him. I will not ask you to do anything. You can sacrifice yourself for the common people, but you must never take advantage of your strength to bully the weak. You must know that no one can be strong forever."

Tianhao smiled and said, "Don't worry, Master. Go and ask around in the Qiankun Sect, and you'll find out that I never bully people. I only do chivalrous deeds."

As he spoke, he raised his right hand, using his palm as a sword, and made a few gestures in the air.

Only in front of Gu An and the Ghost Mother of the Ephemeral Flower would he show his childlike side; in front of others, he was the arrogant and taciturn senior disciple of the Qiankun Sect.

Gu An looked at him and asked with a smile, "Do you know how vast the outer heavens are, and how many worlds like the Heavenly Spirit World exist?"

Tianhao became interested and pressed him for details about how big it was and how many worlds it contained.

Gu An began to tell him about the existence of other great worlds, as well as the most talented and fortunate geniuses in each world. As he listened, he became more and more excited, and his eyes were full of fighting spirit.
