There are three paths, and each path can lead to success.

Prove the Dao through force, by severing the three corpses, and through merit.

To prove the Dao through force is to follow the path of the Great Dao and achieve the Great Golden Immortal of Hunyuan. This is what Hongjun hesitated about, but he still said it, though he didn't explain it clearly.

The subsequent methods of severing the three corpses and attaining enlightenment through merit are all following the path of the Heavenly Way.

In fact, only Hongjun in the entire prehistoric world severed his three corpses. The six saints in later generations all achieved sainthood through merit.

Whether it's the Three Pure Ones, the Two Sages of the West, or Nuwa, they all follow the path of attaining enlightenment through merit.

In comparison, the path of severing the three corpses to attain enlightenment is more like a path that Hongjun himself walked; to put it bluntly, it's a path that takes a different approach.

There is only one traditional path to enlightenment: to prove the Way through force. This is the most traditional path to enlightenment, and it follows the path of the Great Way.

Whether it's severing the three corpses or achieving sainthood through merit, it's all about following the path of Heaven.

However, proving one's path through force is extremely difficult; it requires great perseverance, great magical power, and great supernatural abilities. Here, "great" does not refer to the vastness of the land, but rather to its immeasurable nature.

It requires accumulation, the accumulation of several kalpas.

Whether it's Yuan Meng, Zu Long, Yuan Huang, or Shi Qilin, they were all beings born at the beginning of creation, and only succeeded in attaining enlightenment during the Lich War.

You must know that their background and talent are among the strongest in the countless worlds, and it took them countless years to achieve this.

It was beyond calculation before he finally attained enlightenment.

It's not that you can attain enlightenment simply by saying you've attained it.

Why is it that no one in later generations has been able to successfully attain enlightenment, including top-tier supernatural beings like Zhen Yuanzi? Why is it that none of them have been able to attain enlightenment through force?

It's very simple, Hongjun has attained enlightenment.

After merging with the Dao, the Heavenly Dao was completed, and the path to the Great Dao was completely severed. This is the reason.

You must know that there are fifty Great Daos and forty-nine Heavenly Daos, with one being hidden away!

This "one" represents both a variable and a source of life. The Heavenly Dao is incomplete, which is why Hongjun merged with it, and also to complete it.

Therefore, after Hongjun merged with the Dao, it was impossible for the beings of the primordial world to follow the path of the Great Dao; they could only follow the path of the Heavenly Dao.

Only by leaving the primordial world and escaping to the myriad realms can one have the possibility of attaining enlightenment.

Otherwise, it would be virtually impossible to attain enlightenment.

The gods of the primordial world could not possibly know this now; by the time they do, it will be too late.

Tongtian looked at Hongjun with a determined look in his eyes: "Teacher, who can become a saint?!" Upon hearing Tongtian's words, a glint of light flashed in Hongjun's eyes.

The other primordial gods held their breath and looked at Hongjun, their eyes filled with hope and longing.

“Under the Heavenly Dao, nine is the base number. Below me are six holy positions,” Hongjun said slowly.

Upon hearing Hongjun's words, all the gods of the primordial world looked at him with burning desire.

Seven strands of primordial purple energy appeared in Hongjun's hand.

"This is the Primordial Purple Qi, the foundation for attaining enlightenment," Hongjun said slowly.

“Teacher, my senior brother and I come from the impoverished lands of the West. Our desire for the Dao is unparalleled in the world. Please have mercy on us, Teacher.” Zhunti began to plead with tears in his eyes.

Hongjun opened his eyes. Although he knew why Zhunti and Jieyin were so shameless, he still couldn't help but want to slap Zhunti.

"Jieyin and Zhunti, you shall become my disciples by name. You will also have great merit and may become saints!" Hongjun said slowly.

Then two streams of purple energy flew into Jieyin and Zhunti's bodies.
