Chapter 4: The Red Ribbon Army Appears!
Chapter 4: The Red Ribbon Army Appears!
The instant his gaze fell upon the door, Stark felt as if he had fallen into an abyss, his face turning pale. He slammed the door shut with a bang, almost as fast as he could.
Pursuers.
Damn it, they're the pursuers.
Tony Stark's eyes couldn't hide the look of terror.
Two days have passed since the Mark I armor was built and the desert base was escaped.
Stark has experienced countless extreme conditions, including dehydration, hunger, extreme heat, fatigue, death, worsening of wounds all over his body, and inflammation!
But he never expected that before the military found him, the Ten Commandments would be chasing after him.
Logically, this shouldn't be the case. He had clearly killed everyone, so why would anyone still be chasing after him?
His gaze involuntarily drifted to Carrot beside him, and he frowned.
"You, you're with them?"
Tony Stark's gaze was somewhat wary. Although judging from Carrot's behavior, this was unlikely, the man who suddenly appeared deep in the desert did indeed reveal too many inconsistencies.
This building is illogical, and this person is illogical too.
Despite already having a negative suspicion in his mind, Tony Stark couldn't help but blurt out the question.
Clearly, compared to the bat's calm and composed demeanor, he was more like an emotional person, with a lingering anxiety in his heart that made him want to seize every minute to find safety!
"What do you think?"
Seeing this, Carrot asked in return, noticing out of the corner of his eye that Stark's hand was trembling.
That was fear, a fear that could not be suppressed or concealed at all.
Tony Stark's gaze lingered on Carrot's attire and demeanor.
While this is not a reasonable speculation, there is a 99% chance that Carrot El and the Ten Commandments are not the same group.
Although his appearance here is very strange, his temperament, clothing, and behavior are far removed from those of the Ten Commandments Gang.
In contrast to the Ten Commandments gang's ruthlessness, brutality, inhumanity, and habitual killing, massacre of villages, and torture, this guy named El seemed very gentle, even elegant, in every move.
It was the air of someone who had received a good education and was well-read, and there was no greed in El's eyes when he looked at him.
Their behavior was nothing like that of a terrorist who hides their identity and carefully evades Interpol's pursuit.
Upon hearing this, Tony Stark took a deep breath and lowered his voice, speaking solemnly:
"Alright, whatever your identity or purpose, we need to get out of here now!"
"Those pursuers outside are a bunch of inhuman murderers, mercenaries, and terrorists. I'm sure you don't want to cross them, Mr. El?"
"But perhaps I can choose to hand you over."
With a smile, Carrot El glanced at him, but his words made Tony Stark turn pale.
“That’s a good idea, but I think you’ll be silenced because they won’t allow anyone to know that Tony Stark is in their hands.”
Tony Stark answered immediately, but then Carrot's words filled the swirling glass with a kind of nonchalant mockery, giving him an appreciative look and gesturing to those around him:
"There's only one building here, and the surrounding area is a desert wasteland for hundreds of kilometers. Running out here would just make you a sitting duck. So, what would you do in this situation?"
Tony Stark fell silent. After analyzing all the possibilities, his blank gaze was filled with only one color: despair.
"what is that?"
"Oh God, is it a mirage? I actually saw a building in the desert???" Enrique Royo Elans rubbed his eyes with his gun in hand. In the distance, amidst the swirling yellow sand, a semi-circular building was revealed in horror.
Deep in one of the world's most famous deserts, this brand-new building seems like an extraterrestrial relic, which is quite incredible.
"Something's not right, this is very strange."
Boris Eifman cocked his gun, raised it alertly, and said, "Everyone spread out, cover our advance, be careful, there seem to be lights inside that building!!"
Let's rewind to a day earlier.
Just as Stark escaped, an unimaginable massacre occurred at the Ten Commandments headquarters.
The Red Ribbon Legion, a terrorist organization that mysteriously disappeared overnight five years ago, suddenly reappeared at the headquarters of the Ten Commandments Gang and swiftly occupied, annexed, and took over their sphere of influence.
The battle was fought very quickly, and can be described as a textbook example of a mercenary blitzkrieg, a surprise attack and annihilation.
Interestingly, when the Red Ribbon Legion sent people to subdue Base Thirteen, they discovered that Base Thirteen had unexpectedly been embroiled in battle and its entire army had been wiped out.
The Red Ribbon Legion, which found the remains of the Iron Man armor, seemed to have been intrigued.
After obtaining information about Base Thirteen's recent activities from the database, they realized that they had kidnapped Tony Stark to manufacture missiles for them!
The reconnaissance report told them that Stark has not yet returned to human society and may still be wandering deep in the desert.
Thus, the team in front of them received orders to find Tony Stark.
Braving the endless heatwave, deep within this no-man's-land, a group of heavily armed mercenaries, with about a hundred men taking turns searching, finally slowly approached the hut in the desert.
"They're here. It's all because your house is too conspicuous. Now they can't leave at all."
When he realized he couldn't escape no matter what, Tony Stark calmed down.
He pulled open the reactor on his chest, but unfortunately there was no Iron Man suit for him to use. Even if there were a lab that could build one, he didn't have the time to do so.
Do you have any weapons here?
Carrot El shook his head decisively: "No."
Tony Stark, watching him still eating at such a leisurely pace, couldn't help but retort:
Am I dreaming?
"You, living in a no-man's-land, surrounded by ruthless terrorist organizations, don't keep any weapons in your own home??"
"And we're about to die, how can you still be in the mood to eat??"
"Huh? Wait a minute! Why is there only enough food for ten people left on this table?"
"What?! You ate that entire serving for twenty people?! Is your stomach a black hole?!"
Carrot El glanced at him, then calmly picked up his chopsticks, added food to his mouth, and chewed as he said:
"Since we're all going to die anyway, of course we should eat our fill as much as possible!"
"I'm not afraid of anything else, except being hungry!"
"If anyone makes me go hungry, I'll make sure they never eat again for the rest of their lives."
Welcome, welcome! A warm welcome!
