Chapter 37: Arika, the birth mother, and Bardock, who is imprisoned!
"To give an example using the data you humans have observed, there are approximately two trillion to twenty quadrillion galaxies in the universe, and a large galaxy contains approximately one hundred billion stars."

"With such a massive total number of star clusters, wars, not to mention in the universe, have almost never stopped even within the Milky Way."

"Just as the universe has never ceased its colonial era, countless habitable planets have been sold and divided up at the negotiating table as bargaining chips for many powerful forces."

"Invasion, slaughter, genocide, and then selling at high prices."

One horrifying word after another came from Jor-El's mouth, making Stark and Natasha's hearts pound.

It's like the most direct hatred that civilians suffering from the trauma of war have for the arms dealers who started the war.

It's obvious without even thinking about it how cruel and terrifying those dark laws are.

One of them lived through the most chaotic era, while the other was a capitalist and arms dealer by birth.

That process is so familiar, so very familiar!
But it is precisely because they are familiar with this that the terror they feel is more like it seeps into their bones; just a slight thought is enough to make cold sweat soak their backs.

"Saiyan".

Another new race emerged from Jor-El's words, shocking all three of them:
"A natural-born warrior race, cruel and warlike, bloodthirsty and powerful."

"They invaded and seized planets, killed all the inhabitants, and sold the conquered planets at high prices to aliens looking for places to live."

"This is how they achieve their own civilizational development."

Natasha Romanov clenched her fists silently, her eyes widening in disbelief:
"Kill all the residents?"

Despite being an artificial intelligence, Joel's program still recorded deep and complex emotions towards this race:
"Yes."

At this moment, Carrot El, who had been listening silently all along, suddenly spoke, looking into Jor El's eyes, and said, word by word:

"And I have half their blood in me, children of hope and sin."

Natasha Romanov looked at him instantly: "???"

Tony Stark stared in astonishment, his eyes wide: "What?! You're a mixed-race person???"

Joe Al looked at the child before him with a pang of heartache. If an embrace could transcend time, it would surely be given in the name of a father:

“No, Carrot, you are not sinful. On the contrary, you will always represent hope, and your mother and I both believe that.”

Having revealed the cruel laws of the universe, Jor-El finally spoke about Carrot's origins:
"In the face of a survival crisis where civilization is on the verge of extinction, even Krypton has no choice but to become one of those who create demand for warmongers."

Upon hearing this, Tony Stark's gaze dimmed for a moment, and he silently lowered his head.

"And this also led to the meeting where Bardock and his sister Arika visited Krypton."

The projected images converged again, outlining a burly man with a head shaped like a crab, and a petite girl with fair skin and short hair.

"At that meeting, I was responsible for receiving them as the negotiating ambassador, and that was also the first time I met your mother and that infamous race."

"As expected, they are as powerful as the rumors say."

Carrot El, fascinated by an origin so intimately connected to him yet utterly unfamiliar, immediately asked:

"So what happened next? Did you manage to buy a suitable planet?"

Joe Al gave a self-deprecating laugh: "No."

"why?"

"Because they were soon destroyed."

"What???"

This news also struck the other two, except for Carrot El, like a thunderbolt, and they looked at each other with deep disbelief.

Joe Al paused for a moment, as if recalling everything that seemed sudden yet had been premeditated:
"The meeting was short, but Bardock, representing the other side, subtly showed interest when he saw the Life Codex technology."

"And made a demand at the end of the meeting." "General Zod objected on the spot, arguing that the Life Codex technology was the core of Kryptonians, and even challenged Bardock."

"However, General Zod, who had always lived under the red sun, was still defeated by the battle-hardened Saiyan warrior."

"Having observed the entire battle, I discovered during the fight that Bardock was a completely different being from other brutal Saiyans."

"So I tried to suggest that we could use the technology of the first generation of the Codex of Life to complete this transaction."

Tony Stark raised an eyebrow in confusion: "First-generation technology?"

Joe Al: "Yes, unlike existing code technology, the original code technology did not have a specific genetic control system, nor could it create life forms that matched professions according to needs."

"But this made Bardock and others extremely satisfied."

At this point, Joe Al sighed deeply:
"In fact, the deal is pretty much done here."

"Alika stayed on Krypton as the liaison."

"Bardock then returned to Planet Vegeta to conduct planetary selection and subsequent processes."

"But none of us expected that something unexpected would happen."

"Some time after reporting the Life Codex technology to King Vegeta, Bardock was imprisoned."

"What? Bardock's been imprisoned?"

Carrot Elton's pupils contracted instantly, and his clenched fist tightened unconsciously.

This statement did indeed surprise him; the known plot of the so-called time traveler had finally vanished in such a world that connected everything.

Every vibrant life guides the original direction of the world, and since the beginning of time, it has multiplied to the present day, and by the time it is born, it has already changed beyond recognition.

Fortunately, Carrot realized this early on, and his intuition told him that what he was about to hear would probably be even more horrifying.

Admittedly, Joe Al's words were indeed unexpected, as were those of everyone present.

Tony Stark pondered, stroking his chin. "But why is that?"

Natasha Romanov narrowed her eyes and quickly analyzed:

"There is only one possibility: it has touched the interests of the ruling class."

"But he wasn't immediately imprisoned; it was after some time, so there might have been considerations and arrangements regarding interests involved."

Natasha's judgment was surprisingly sharp; sometimes, in their line of work, one must arrive at the most likely guess in the shortest amount of time.

"But the premise is that his imprisonment was indeed due to the Life Code incident."

Tony Stark stared blankly at Natasha Romanov, his expression one of utter disbelief as if he were seeing her for the first time.

At this point, Natasha Romanov clearly no longer wanted to act, and her entire demeanor began to become sharp and calm.

After glancing at the three of them, Joe El's reminiscing gaze became somewhat hollow. Even as he thought back to those seemingly peaceful days, everything about them seemed like the prelude to a storm brewing.

"It was only at that time that Arika truly told me the real situation of Planet Vegeta."

"I only then realized that the year that was squeezed out by this so-called deal was like a peaceful moment before death, stolen from the hands of the Grim Reaper."

"It is not our salvation, but the final peace before destruction."

"Carrot, and that's how you came to be."
