Chapter 207 Fateful Showdown: Zod Martial Arts Tournament!

"Zod used Kryptonian technology to connect global receiving channels; he was going to declare war on the world."

"This is not in line with his character."

Carrot El carefully observed the changes in Zod.

He remembered that in the Dragon Ball world, Cell's birth took nearly twenty years, but only a few months had passed since Zod's death.

Carrot wasn't sure if this was due to his Kryptonian bloodline, new technological innovations after the Luthor Corporation took over, or a higher-level temporal convergence. However, based on the rules of American comics, it was likely that a series of events would follow.

“Zod is different from Loki. He doesn’t crave an audience to witness the grand opening of his rebirth. He is an excellent military strategist who does not accept peace talks or mediation. Everything he does is for the purpose of achieving his strategic goals.”

Iron Man thought for a moment and said, "No need to think, his target is definitely you. You can figure it out by elimination. Why don't we call that dead bat back from Gotham? Hasn't he made quite a few plans?"

Upon hearing this, Carrot shook his head: "Let's forget about it. We have to think about the people of Gotham. Besides, Loki would be in big trouble if he got into Gotham."

"Loki? Is he dangerous?"

"It's hard to say, after all, Gotham is a place that trains people."

Natasha helplessly patted them on the shoulder. This group of untrained soldiers always managed to create a relaxed atmosphere together, even during missions.
"Shut up, listen to what this guy has to say!"

Beside Zod, a group of trembling TV station staff huddled together, not daring to utter a sound.

Police surrounded the building in circles, and all the anti-aircraft guns, missiles, and radars had locked onto the target, but they only surrounded it without launching an attack, because they knew very well that no matter how many people attacked, it would be like an egg hitting a rock.

Some shrewd businessmen have even started plotting how to use public opinion to make a quick buck from the Justice League and the Dawn of Justice.

Zod was still wearing his Kryptonian clothes, and it felt like ants were crawling all over his body. His carapace seemed to want to grow out of his body uncontrollably, which was very uncomfortable.

Despite this, he did not take off his Kryptonian clothes.

Even after being transformed into this inhuman and grotesque form, he remains Krypton's eternal military leader.

Zod said, twisting his neck uncomfortably:
“Like you, El, I once saw this planet as hope, hope for rebuilding Kryptonian civilization.”

"But now everything is destroyed. I took your place and was dragged onto the experimental table by Earthlings, turning into this inhuman and ghostly state."

Zod's eyes turned as pale as his face. If hatred could be transformed into power, then the obsession ingrained in his genes would make him hate anything that displeased him, and thus become invincible.
"You destroyed Krypton, you destroyed me!"

"I heard that the Justice League is about to hold a world's greatest martial arts tournament for all superhumans."

"Is this a passing hobby or a quirky hobby you have when you're bored?"

"Without strong enough opponents and a scale that determines fate, your martial arts tournament is just a child's game."

Upon hearing Zod's words, the Justice League members nodded in agreement: "Actually, we think so too."

Carrot El: "."

Zod spread his arms, golden energy gathering in his palms, and declared, word by word, to everyone present:
"But now, this is no longer child's play."

"No rewards, no rules, the fate of this planet is at stake, decide whether to be reborn or destroyed!" "For everyone, Kryptonian ghosts and hybrid orphans, and that so-called superhero alliance."

"You can try to find more people; this will be very beneficial for you."

Just as Zod was about to unleash his energy, Carrot teleported out of thin air, grabbed his arm, and stared at him with a sharp gaze.

"You seem quite confident in your current abilities."

Zod seemed to have anticipated Carrot's sudden appearance and remained calm. Their eyes met, and an invisible pressure formed a barrier between them that crackled with electricity.

"It's so nice to see your face again, El."

"But your face is no longer the same as before."

The oppressive atmosphere mingled with a burning fighting spirit. Both of them simultaneously rose into the air, ascending to a height unseen by onlookers. Carrot also released his grip on Zod's hand.

Do you think I'd give you another chance to challenge me, Zod?

Carrot could tell that Zod's current state was very unstable, somewhat like a genetic mutation.

Hearing that familiar tone, Zod smiled. Carrot was as arrogant and conceited as ever, which was quite unlike Jorel's son. After a moment's thought, he said:

"Before that, I want to ask you a question: In the time since I died, what have you done for Krypton?"

Upon hearing this question, Carrot's expression remained unchanged as he calmly replied, "From the moment I was born, I have never stopped working for Krypton."

"Hehe, for example?"

Zod was amused by Carrot's words: "Forming the Justice League, stopping Krypton's terraforming project, standing on the side of Earthlings, becoming their hero—is this what you call doing for Krypton?"
Carrot watched him silently. Zod had his limitations; he had no idea how much impact the reconstruction of Krypton would have on the timeline, or how much resistance it would bring.

That's something that's absolutely not allowed.

Even if Zod's plan were implemented a hundred times, it would be impossible to succeed. Rebuilding Krypton would be an enormous challenge in the DC universe, not something that could be accomplished simply by conquering a planet as he thought.

So, Carrot El wanted to take a gamble!
"For example, I've been letting you all go unchecked, and even letting the person who rescued you go unchecked."

Zod couldn't understand El's words, but he was certain that he could see a suffocating pressure deep in Carrot's eyes.

No one knew how big his gamble was, and no one knew that this time, his stake was the rebirth of Krypton.

Everyone has their own calculations, but Carrot El doesn't want to be a pawn, he only wants to be a player. Even if he only makes one move, it's enough to prove that he has put in the effort.

"Stop talking nonsense, where is Lazuli?"

"Don't you dare tell her she's inside you right now, or I'll beat you until you throw up!"

Carrot Elke had no interest in dragging things out with Zod until some martial arts tournament. Even if he wanted to fish, he could change the bait and, if he had the means, just wipe them out.
