Chapter 200: The Battle of Igor Star!
"boom!"

"boom!"

"boom!"

Layer upon layer of mountains stirred up a boiling blue eruption, and energy like a blue ocean surged from the earth's depths to beyond the starry sky like a volcano.

In the inner core of Ego Star, the deformed celestial being revealed its man-eating fangs beneath its sinister face.

After the truth about the murder of their mother is revealed, a deadly battle with no chance of victory descends upon the Guardians of the Galaxy.

"What do we do about Quill?"

"You've really screwed us over this time! Your dad's really ruthless!!!"

Rocket and Drax kept retaliating on the spaceship; they had never seen anything like it in their lives.

If it weren't for the Guardians of the Galaxy's incredible luck in running into Ginyu's arrival to find his apprentice and holding off the first wave of attacks, plus Yondu and his pirates arriving just in time to withstand the second wave of attacks, they would have been in trouble.

Finally, Captain Marvel suddenly appeared out of nowhere to protect them and withstood the third wave of attacks. By then, these few guys had long been reduced to ashes and turned into nutrients for the planet.

At this very moment, under Captain Marvel's attack, golden light spread out, radiating the brilliance of a supernova. A meteor in the name of light crashed to the ground, forcefully smashing open the hard crust of Ego.

Captain Marvel vs. Ego the Celestial.

The collision of gold and blue intertwines to create a clash of divine power and faster-than-light speed. One side is like a meteor falling to earth, devastating everything in its path, while the other is like a raging ocean, relentlessly destroying everything in its path.

The endless battles of attack and defense unfolded beneath the star's core.

"I have treated you with the utmost courtesy, Danvers, why do you still want to be my enemy?"

The omnipresent sound echoed in every corner of the planet, and Ego's voice was filled with anger.

As the saying goes, one shouldn't hit a smiling face. He thought he had done his best to be a good host to Carrot and Danvers, so why were these two so fixated on him?
In the instant the golden light flashed, Captain Marvel's figure froze in front of the Guardians of the Galaxy, like an unshakeable barrier, protecting Star-Lord and the others behind her, and she said without hesitation:
"I'm sorry, but I won't give up the righteous punishment just because a villain treated me to a meal."

"At most, I'll give you three moves, or I'll leave you alive!"

Upon hearing this, Igor was so enraged that the entire planet seemed to tremble: "Damn woman, then I won't hold back anymore. You try me! Do you really think I'm afraid of you?!"

For Ego, this was definitely the most nauseating war it had ever fought since its birth. First, some ugly purple-skinned monster suddenly appeared out of nowhere and started singing and dancing in ARP.

His strength is enough to easily surpass a star level, which is barely passable, but his behavior of posing with every move is really infuriating!
And I don't know where this guy got the courage to try to possess him. Good grief, who does he think he is, trying to possess someone in front of a god? Does he really think that just because he shouts "transform," he can change bodies all over the universe? Does he even know how to write the word "divine power"?

So, Ego wiped out Ginyu on the spot, thinking he could enjoy a feast, when suddenly a pirate fleet appeared and launched a barrage of fire. After fighting for a while, it turned out that Yondu, that traitor, came to rescue his son. Who knew he could have so many die-hard fans?

But this motley crew of space pirates was no match for Ego. Although they worshipped the ancient frozen demon Zild, it didn't mean they could fight him.

After quickly wiping them out, Captain Marvel appeared. For some reason, she had been waiting in the distance, eating children, for several days, and then suddenly unleashed a supernova attack!

If he were just a simple planet, he would have died eight hundred times over with this combo. Unfortunately, the planet is just a body. Igor's essence is still a god, and every blade of grass and tree that makes up the planet is composed of immense divine power.

Even this god has a vague connection with the Celestials. There are many different opinions about the backstory of Planet Ego, and no definitive conclusion has been reached in the end.

However, one widely circulated theory in the lore is that when the Celestials Arithmah were sowing the human race at the beginning of the universe, they accidentally dropped a seed onto a planet without intelligent life.

Finally, the planet was destroyed for some reason, but the seed inside it was preserved and had begun to develop into a conscious brain before its destruction.

According to Igor himself, he did not know how he was conceived, only that after his consciousness was formed, he began to use divine power to construct matter.

It wrapped itself up layer by layer, taking countless years, and eventually grew larger and larger, forming the planet Igor we know today.

This is a very interesting question: if a brain wants to build a body, why would it choose the shape of a planet instead of a human or other creature?

Unless, in his subconscious, the outer tissues that once enveloped his brain were themselves a planet.

Perhaps it is precisely for this reason that the power used by Ego can be called mysterious, and that he himself can be called a god.

Although completely different from the normally growing gods, it could even be described as a deformed fetus, a god who was underdeveloped in the original storyline and suffered a failed abortion.

But given his status, Captain Marvel couldn't take down Ego for the time being.

Even so, after several exchanges, Danvers had found Ego's weakness: the brain located at the center of the star's core.

Captain Marvel glanced at Star-Lord and the others behind her, but still didn't dare to make any rash moves.

Once she destroys Ego's brain, the energy of the entire planet will instantly spiral out of control. The massive explosion will be enough to engulf everything, forming a black hole that will swallow the entire galaxy and absolutely drag them into the blast radius.

"Drip drip!"

Just then, the device on Captain Jingqi's arm received a video call invitation from Carrotelle:
"This is the Justice League on Earth. Superman is calling Captain Marvel. How's the situation on your end?"

Captain Marvel's expression brightened upon hearing this, and she quickly connected the signal:

"Carrot, we need backup!"

"I understand, but I'll keep my distance."

Upon hearing Carrot El's words, Captain Marvel didn't hesitate and ran off with the Guardians of the Galaxy's spaceship on her back.

"What's wrong, Danvers?"

Should we retreat???

Star-Lord, holding the heavily wounded Yondu, stared at Ego's huge eyes with a face full of resentment. He really didn't want to run away from the murderer who killed his mother, but he couldn't bear to drag his friends and adoptive father into this situation.

He had to admit that Ginyu's death had indeed brought him to his senses. He now felt guilty for causing the death of his cheap master, with whom he had gotten along particularly well.

It was precisely because of this guilt that he unusually refrained from recklessly rushing in despite knowing he was a liability.
