Chapter 38 Who gave you permission to touch me with these filthy hands?

Swish swish!
Several figures moved through the dense forest.

They were Root ninjas, but at this moment they were all devoid of their usual arrogance, and were all fleeing in panic.

The lingering fear on their faces suggested that evil spirits were chasing them from the dense forest behind them.

"Faster, faster!" The leader of the Root ninjas was Terai. He shouted, urging his companions to speed up, glancing back every now and then, his fear growing stronger: "Don't slow down! That...that brat is still following us!"

Heavy breathing echoed around.

Every breath was accompanied by a burning pain; their lungs were doing their best to supply blood, yet they still felt suffocated.

Even if their lungs were about to explode, no one dared to slow down even a fraction of a second.

Why did things turn out this way?
Terai's mind was filled with fear, and memories from just over ten minutes ago involuntarily surfaced.

Their plan was successful; they unexpectedly kidnapped the child who was with Tsunade.

Everything was proceeding according to plan. Tsunade was successfully transferred away from Uchiha Muneki's side, creating a good opportunity for Hanzo.

But then, things took an unexpected turn.

The kidnapped little girl instantly displayed terrifying strength, cutting the ANBU member holding her into pieces in just a few seconds right in front of everyone.

Then, the little girl calmly wiped the blood from her face, and a Sharingan like a windmill appeared in her eyes!

"This information must be reported to Lord Danzo!"

Back in reality, Terai seemed to hear the lingering killing intent behind him: "The Uchiha clan has a deeper conspiracy!"

However, the next second.

A petite figure dressed in black suddenly blocked everyone's way.

In an instant, the dozen or so Root ninjas seemed to be frozen in place, their eyes fixed in terror on the petite figure on the tree branch ahead.

"I hate it when people touch me."

Uchiha Hikaru remained expressionless, like a cold-blooded killing machine, chilling everyone to the bone: "Who gave you permission to touch me with those filthy hands?"

His flat, monotone tone, devoid of any inflection, instilled a deep sense of fear in them.

It's like... a sharp steel knife is held to their necks!

The icy, bone-chilling touch sent shivers down my spine and made the hairs on my body stand on end.

The air was so heavy it seemed to freeze, and the chilling killing intent lowered the surrounding temperature.

Fear spread uncontrollably, devouring reason like a wild beast.

"Let's go together!"

Terai knew he couldn't wait any longer, otherwise everyone's hearts would be crushed by fear.

"Hehe. Hahaha. Hahahahaha!"

Uchiha Hikaru covered his eyes, laughing wildly and arrogantly, his entire being twisted with a morbid rage: "I belong to him. Only he can touch me. As for you... a bunch of disgusting scum, how dare you touch me with your filthy hands! You all deserve to die!!!"

"Come on!!!"

Fearful sweat splattered everywhere, and everyone's faces were contorted as they charged towards the girl with ferocious roars.

Uchiha Hikaru half-covered her eyes with one hand, revealing the crimson light of her Mangekyou Sharingan, and parted her cherry lips slightly:

"Fight each other to the death, you scum!"

Dark clouds gathered, and torrential rain poured down.

Enveloped in endless sorrow, Xiao Nan let the heavy rain soak her.

Hanzo is dead.

He died at the hands of the Gedo Statue, and at the hands of the enraged Nagato.

But this wasn't the outcome she wanted!
"Xiao Nan." Nagato's eyelids drooped, blood spilled from the corner of his mouth, and with his last bit of strength, he said to her, "Take us back." After saying this, he fainted and collapsed to the ground.

The out-of-control demonic statue vanished in a puff of smoke.

"Nagato!" Konan, ignoring the mud on her clothes, stumbled over and picked up the unconscious Nagato.

I don’t know, I’m scared.

That enormous Gedo Mazo absorbed a large amount of Nagato's chakra; if it weren't for the Uzumaki clan's constitution, he would probably be dead by now.

Even so, Nagato paid a heavy price, becoming emaciated.

Moreover, the black rods that pierced his body caused him great trauma, and he needed to be treated as soon as possible, otherwise his life would be in danger at any time.

"Why...why did it turn out like this!"

Xiao Nan was overwhelmed with sorrow, and tears mingled with the rain as they streamed down her face.

"Is it me? Is it because I tried to change my fate that I am being punished?"

Why...why are you doing this to me!

"They clearly showed me fate, yet they wouldn't let me change it!"

"I hate it so much!"

Under the torrential rain, Xiao Nan huddled helplessly in a ball and cried out loud.

If it weren't for my own unwavering belief in the prophecy in the dream, and my insistence on dragging Yahiko and Nagato to the place in the dream to seek the truth, would all of this have been avoided?
But in reality, there are never any "what ifs".

Yahiko died, just as the dream had foretold, dying to save her.

Nagato was crippled, and in order to kill Hanzo, he forcibly summoned the Gedo Mazo.

Everything was as it was destined; no matter how hard they tried, the outcome could not be changed!
"Yahiko, I'm taking you home."

With a pale face, Konan covered Yahiko's body with white paper, then lifted the unconscious Nagato and walked away in a daze.

"Let's go home together, just like we promised."

The girl walked very slowly, as if each step required all her strength.

As she passed the Konoha ANBU member, she instinctively stopped; her kind heart ultimately couldn't ignore him.

The Uchiha Anbu member who had been slashed by Hanzo was unconscious, but he could still be saved. He had a hideous scar on his chest that was deep enough to expose the bone, and the blood had stained the surrounding ground red. He looked like he was on the verge of death.

"Thankfully, it's not a fatal wound." Konan bandaged his wound. "As long as the bleeding stops, you should be able to recover when Tsunade returns."

Then, with great difficulty, Xiao Nan led the two away from this place of sorrow.

Wow.
Silence returned to the surroundings, with only the sound of the heavy rain pattering down.

A moment later, Uchiha Munetsuki opened his eyes, slowly sat up, and touched the wound on his chest: "Damage transfer, the magician's ability is indeed useful."

Gazing at Hanzo's drained corpse not far away, he pushed up his glasses, his eyes utterly expressionless: "If there's a next life, remember my advice: watch out for the audience."

This play was excellent.

But what's even more fascinating is the mastermind behind it all, the one hiding behind the scenes—Uchiha Muneki!

Hanzo, Konan, Yahiko, Nagato—everyone is just a puppet on a string.

Following the pre-written script, they gradually moved towards the predetermined ending.

"It's a pity, Yahiko."

Uchiha Muneki lowered his eyelids and muttered softly to himself, "In my future script, I don't need your existence."

March 19th, sunny

A moment of silence for those who perished in the earthquake... Life is truly so fragile.
