Chapter 42 Yu Dawei's Leadership
"Hehe, boss, you have a big heart, you can hold up a treasure and a boat, please don't take offense at a nobody like me." Yu Dawei forced a smile. "It's just that something came up at home. My wife is about to give birth in the next couple of days, and I really can't rest easy if I don't go back to see her."

“Well, that’s somewhat understandable.” Huang Fengcang nodded, pointing to a greyhound behind him. “But I’m not your boss. Look, your real boss is here.”

Yu Dawei was stunned again. He looked at Huang Fengcang, then at the gaunt man in the distance, with Huang Man beside him.

"Then, then you are..." Yu Dawei asked curiously.

"Me? I'm your boss's boss." Huang Fengcang looked at Yu Dawei with a smile. "My name is Huang Fengcang."

Yu Dawei's heart was pounding. "I just wanted to take a shortcut, but now not only does my boss know about my slacking off, but his boss's boss knows too. What kind of idea is this?"

Looking back, it's fortunate that my second uncle stopped the car that day, allowing him to help the person and leave a good impression beforehand.

Now that they've met again, and with their newfound technical skills, it's not as simple as one plus one equals two. If this move is executed properly, Wuhu could take off.

"Xiao Chang, come here for a second." Huang Fengcang looked at Yu Dawei with a slight squint, then turned around and waved to the skinny man with a smile.

Yu Dawei watched as the skinny man called Xiao Chang walked over. The man wore glasses and had a wheat-colored face that looked weathered.

"Boss." The gaunt man walked up to Huang Fengcang, glanced at Yu Dawei first, and then asked curiously, "What's wrong, boss?"

Huang Fengcang patted Yu Dawei on the shoulder: "This is Yu Dawei. I think you should know him. Our beat-up car is now relying on him."

Supervisor Chang glanced at the black oil on Yu Dawei's gloves, then at the wrench scattered next to the machine cover, his thin face full of smiles: "I know him, I saw his photo in the contract. Young man Yu, it's a pleasure to meet you."

"Hello, sir," Yu Dawei quickly greeted. "Don't worry, I do know a little about car repair."

"Thank you for your hard work. I didn't expect Boss Yu to know how to repair cars. He's really young and promising." Manager Chang, standing to the side, couldn't help but give Yu Dawei a thumbs up.

"Huang Man, go help Dawei." Huang Fengcang also had a smile on his face.

"Okay," Huang Man agreed.

Yu Dawei glanced at the burly and clever man and didn't know what to do with him for the moment: "Rest over there. I'll call you if I need help."

"Okay." Huang Man nodded and stood obediently beside Yu Dawei.

"Yu Dawei, I didn't expect you to be so much more handsome than in the photos. You're so young, yet you have such good skills and you even own an excavator. Your future is limitless." Manager Chang had somehow appeared on Yu Dawei's other side, praising him without reservation. His voice wasn't loud, but it was loud enough for everyone around to hear.

"Yes, he's not only young and promising, but he also takes good care of his wife." Huang Fengcang leaned against the car, looking down as he continued to flip through the report. "He just told me that his wife is about to give birth, in the next day or two."

"That's great! As long as your excavator is on the construction site and a technician is operating it normally, you don't need to come in for the next few days. You can stay home and take care of your wife." Supervisor Chang smiled sincerely. "I wish you and your baby a safe delivery in advance."

"Thank you, leader. Thank you, big leader." Yu Dawei's forehead was covered in sweat, whether from the exhaustion of repairing cars or something else, it was hard to tell.

"Don't worry, Xiao Chang is my man, don't be so nervous." Huang Fengcang quickly finished reading the last page of the report, turned around and put the report back in the car: "Take care of your wife and children, otherwise you'll be distracted when you're working."

"Xiao Chang, I feel the equipment needs to be expanded. You decide for yourself. It seems sufficient for now, but who knows what will happen later. There are only a few months of working days in Northeast China, so we must ensure the project progress doesn't encounter any problems." Huang Fengcang walked up to the three men, watching Yu Dawei disassemble engine parts.

"Okay." Supervisor Chang nodded.

Supervisor Chang stood to the side, occasionally glancing at Yu Dawei, then stealing a glance at his superior. He seemed to understand the situation and began to take Yu Dawei more seriously.

I heard that the last time the leader went back to the city, he praised a young man from the town to the skies. I've never seen a leader appreciate someone so much.

Others may not know the leader's background, abilities, and courage, but he has been by his side for so many years and is already a trusted confidant. How could he not know?

However, most people in the Eighth Bureau are pessimistic about the current situation of the leadership, but he knows that the leadership will never fight a battle they are not sure of winning.

In short, anyone who gets noticed by this person is destined for great success.

"Is it still not fixed?" Huang Fengcang glanced at his watch.

"Big boss, the part being repaired this time is not the same as the one last time." Yu Dawei smiled wryly. "I'll remove the ignition coil and screws later, and then I'll probably know if that's the problem."

The senior leader looked at Yu Dawei, whose hands were covered in black oil, nodded seriously, and then turned to Supervisor Chang: "Since you're just idling around anyway, give Dawei a formal introduction so you won't feel awkward next time you meet."

“Okay.” Supervisor Chang smiled. “My name is Chang Bin. I am the supervisor of sections 1 to 9 in Luhe Town, and also the person in charge of sections 3, 6 and 9. You can call me Supervisor Chang from now on.”

He was now certain that this kid had definitely caught the eye of his boss.

"My name is Yu Dawei, from Yujiatun Village, Heshan Village, Luhe Town. I know a little about car repair." Yu Dawei smiled sheepishly, his main strength being his sincerity.

"Alright, hurry up and fix the car." Huang Fengcang picked up the documents again, making circles and marks on them with his pen, his brows furrowed.

Supervisor Chang stood to the side, occasionally answering questions raised by senior leaders.

Yu Dawei heard the general outline of the project, especially regarding the quality and cost of the project, but he was still confused about many of the details.

Yu Dawei pretended that he hadn't heard anything. It wouldn't be good if he had overheard some confidential information. He should just focus on fixing the car.

Ten minutes later, Yu Dawei finally found the cause of the illness.

"It's nothing, it's not a big problem." Yu Dawei pulled out the spark plug. "I've confirmed it, the spark plug in the engine is broken."

"What should we do then?" Manager Chang looked at Yu Dawei. "Do we need to buy a spark plug somewhere?"

Yu Dawei looked up and glanced around: "This place is in the middle of nowhere. We'd have to go to a town to find one. And if we're going to replace them, we'll replace them all. Even though only one is broken, the others probably won't last long either."

"Wait for me, I can get there faster in my four-wheeled vehicle." Without waiting for their reply, Yu Dawei got into the four-wheeled vehicle.

Once the cause of the problem is diagnosed, repairing the car becomes simple.

Yu Dawei dared not delay. It took him more than 30 minutes to go back and forth, and another half hour to put the new spark plug in. This was already the limit of his speed.

Then, Huang Man started the car, and it caught fire.
