I'll also work hard to conquer the dungeon today.

Chapter 736, Sections 2.7 and 23: La Somésmia: The Crown
"There are too many, we can't possibly kill them all." Xie Qing held his longsword, killing as he retreated.
If this continues, his physical strength will be exhausted first.
Daolin stood on the large rock and murmured, "Is it really an endless stream?"
Shui Qi looked at the child beside her, and suddenly heard Dao Lin muttering to himself. She subconsciously asked in confusion, "Dao Lin?"
"Water Qi, are they really endless?" Dao Lin bent down, picked up a small stone, and threw it forward, causing the skeleton to turn around and look, creating a momentary opportunity for Xie Qing.
“I don’t know.” Shui Qi shook her head. “But the queen is indeed dead, though perhaps not completely; she left herself a way out.”
“Dead…not completely dead…he left something behind…” Dao Lin pondered, a glint of light flashing in his icy blue eyes, as if he had grasped something in that instant.
"What is that?!" The child's innocent voice rang out, startling Dao Lin and instantly shattering his thoughts that were about to be sorted out.
Dao Lin looked up, lost in thought, and followed the girl's gaze.
A square object, resembling a mud slab, was vaguely visible amidst the ruins of the destroyed house. Its surface was uneven and seemed to have something written on it.
Why are there mud tablets in this place?
This area is the South District, a place once known as a slum. In that society, only the wealthy were literate, and clay tablets were only for the powerful and wealthy. How could a clay tablet with writing on it be found here?
A trap? Or...?
Before Dao Lin could think further, Xie Qing had already picked it up and thrown it at the two of them.
Shui Qi caught the clay tablet, looked down at the writing on it, and found it to be a very strange script, not the common script of the Lasomethrin dynasty.
"This plague came very suddenly. Before I even realized it, I was already surrounded by patients infected with it. When I was infected one day, I knew that the queen was calling me." The girl stood on tiptoe, looking at the mud tablet in Shui Qi's hand, and suddenly spoke.
"This is a text passed down among witch doctors. My mother sent me to this teacher so that I could learn witch medicine..." the girl said sadly. It's a pity that such a thing happened after only a year apart.
She was very worried about her mother and wanted to find her, wondering if she was still safe.
"There should be more than just this one." Dao Lin frowned. Based on what the girl had read, it should be similar to a diary, and there must be more to come.
Dao Lin jumped off the large rock and walked to the ruins, saying, "Shui Qi, Xie Qing, do me a favor and keep an eye out for any similar mud tablets around here. Broken ones are fine too, as long as they can be deciphered."
He couldn't explain why he was so determined to find out what happened next with this clay tablet. He didn't know why he was so convinced that there would be more to it. He had a vague feeling that it contained some important clues related to Queen Skateher of the Shadow Kingdom, perhaps even the secret of why she hadn't completely died.
We'll have to wait until we find them to analyze them in detail.
The little girl's appearance was also quite abrupt; hopefully it wasn't some kind of trap.
And there is...
Judging by the time, the time bomb on Shui Qi's body is about to explode.
It's like all the bad things have come at once. This dungeon is practically a death trap, it's so relentless in trying to take all their lives.
Mu Yegui, where are you now?
the other side.
"Hahahaha, run away! Keep running! Hand over the Destiny Tablet!" Millie laughed as she looked at Mu Yegui, who was cornered against the wall, and said viciously.
Now that things have come to this, she's too lazy to even put on a fake expression for a moment.
Heaven knows how long she had been chasing Mu Yegui. It had finally reached this point, and if she didn't snatch the Destiny Tablet, she would feel she had let herself down after all her hard work. Mu Yegui retreated to the corner, clutching the Destiny Tablet that was now coveted and seemingly inevitable. Her cool eyes fixed on Mili, her soft voice calm and indifferent, as if she weren't the one being driven to the brink.
"One last question: are you Millie or Skateher?" This question was asked precisely because of the contradiction. Perhaps it was a search for an answer, or perhaps a desire to ascertain something. All speculation, ultimately, is not the truth.
Millie has a strong admiration for the king, while Skateher hates him. It would be strange to connect the two of them in the same way.
So, Mu Yegui took this opportunity to ask the question, realizing he couldn't let her continue to do as she pleased.
“Me? Of course I am!” she said firmly and confidently, but paused just before saying her name.
A hint of confusion flashed in her eyes, as if she suddenly realized that the truth was completely different from what she had always believed. Her own understanding was impacted by this question, shattering the previously ambiguous boundaries and plunging her into chaos.
Who is she?
Millie or Skateher?
The next second, she regained her composure and retorted fiercely, "What does who I am have to do with you giving me the stone tablet?! Give it to me now!"
Mu Yegui looked at her quietly and said calmly, "You can't do anything to me, can you? If I hadn't handed it over myself, do you think you could have taken it from me?"
She scoffed, "Even with you cornered by me right now?"
"Even if you've cornered me, how can you be sure I'm doing this out of necessity or on purpose?" Mu Yegui said calmly, kicking away the giant skeleton that was constantly approaching him.
She paused for a moment, then slowly said, "I am Skateher, not Millie. Are you satisfied with that answer? Now, give it to me."
Skateher raised his head, signaling Mu Yegui to quickly hand over the Destiny Tablet to her.
Mu Yegui stared at her for three seconds before reaching out and handing her the Destiny Tablet.
Skateher snatched the clay tablet, examined it carefully, and after confirming that it was genuine, he laughed heartily and strode away, no longer having any intention of dealing with Mu Yegui.
With his cold, silver eyes fixed on Skateh's departing figure, Mu Yegui glanced again at the skeleton soldiers gradually receding like the tide.
"Daolin, I've bought you some time. Now it's up to you to decipher the clues."
Initially, she intended to protect the Heavenly Mandate Plate and Dao Lin and the others, but gradually she realized that there were so many enemies that they had no chance of resisting them.
So she changed her mind and truly handed over the Tablet of Destiny; otherwise, it wouldn't have been possible for Skatech to temporarily halt his attack. Although it was indeed very important, Daolin and his men ultimately couldn't withstand the relentless onslaught of enemies.
Mu Yegui felt it was worth it to exchange it for a moment of respite.
But all of this is only temporary.
Skateher will soon return, for she will discover that possessing the Tablets of Destiny has absolutely nothing to do with summoning Isaac.
In the story, dragons will appear for princesses, treasures, and heroes, but they will never show themselves for a mere piece of clay.
After all, plunder is in the dragon's nature.
The symbol of the Heavenly Mandate Tablet is royal power. Since the dragon already possesses royal power, why would it even glance at it?
I've been stuck on this writer's block for ages. I feel like I've hit a creative plateau. I have all the plot details for this arc, but I'm really struggling with how to transition to that part. It feels like if I don't write it, it'll feel abrupt, disjointed, and full of bugs. But if I do write it, I don't know how. It's driving me crazy.
