I'll also work hard to conquer the dungeon today.

Chapter 706, Section 26: Preparation

Chapter 706, Section 2.6: Preparation
The wooden clogs tapped lightly on the stone path, producing a crisp and melodious sound, as the time drew ever closer...

Ji Qi had been calmly watching Urias and Mu Yegui, but after hearing the familiar sound of wooden clogs, his expression became painful and conflicted, like someone who had been saving food for a long time but found it had gone bad, yet still couldn't bear to spit it out.

Sure enough, the next second they heard that beautiful, deep, and magnetic voice, "So, Teacher disappeared without a word just to come here?"

Ji Qi put a hand to his forehead, his expression showing a hint of annoyance: "Rong Yi..." How could he have forgotten about this guy?

His slender, pale hand casually twirled a long pipe from which a tobacco pouch hung, his handsome, flawless face showing no extra emotion. His narrow, dark purple phoenix eyes silently watched his teacher, who had abruptly disappeared, a dark glint in their depths.

Rong Yi took a puff of her pipe, exhaled a light puff of white smoke, and asked softly, "Teacher, aren't you going to give an explanation?"

"How did you know I was here?" Ji Qi raised his head and asked in return.

Even though she was the one who asked first, the latter asked her back so naturally and without any guilt. Rong Yi couldn't help but sigh. But as a good student of her teacher, she would naturally not hide anything from her teacher.

Rong Yi told the truth, "Jade told me."

Emerald is his apostle and also an intern administrator. He will take over Ji Qi's original position, the position of Gluttony Administrator, after Ji Qi leaves the Gourmet Kingdom.

Ji Qi muttered a few words, then asked, "Did Jade say anything else to you?"

"Jade only said that the teacher was sent to the Fairy Tale Kingdom by Mr. Lilia, and didn't say anything else?" Rong Yi stared at Ji Qi's expression, a few shadows flashing in his eyes, and said in a low voice.

For some reason, Ji Qi felt a sense of relief, as if he had escaped a disaster. Fortunately, that talkative and cunning Jade did not reveal Urias's affairs. No, it should be said that it was fortunate that the young Jade did not know about Urias, otherwise who knows what might have happened!
Rong Yi narrowed her eyes and asked again, "But I don't quite understand. Teachers usually complain about not wanting to increase the workforce, so why did they agree so easily this time?"

Just as Ji Qi was pondering how to deal with the situation, a sudden, forceful voice broke between the two of them, "Fairy Tale Kingdom really is a place where all sorts of random people can get in."

Rong Yi turned her head, then condescended to look at the person or demon who had been there all along.

"Who?" Rong Yi asked. Although he had already learned from Fei Lu about the sex swap, it did not stop him from asking the question he already knew the answer to. After all, this demon looked dangerous, many times more dangerous than Adele. He didn't even dare to bet that he could beat this guy.

The next second, the ground beneath Rong Yi's feet cracked open, and several thick, thorny, blood-red vines grew out. If Rong Yi hadn't dodged quickly, she probably would have been pierced through.

A gentle breeze swept by, ruffling her long, ink-black hair. Her dark horns gleamed with a crimson light, appearing eerie and dangerous in the sunlight.

Those fierce and violent blood-red eyes glanced at Rong Yi for only a second before looking away, completely ignoring him. "Go back to your culinary kingdom."

Rong Yi glanced quietly at the few blood-red vines that were still baring their fangs and claws. He chuckled softly and said dangerously, "They really are worthy of being called mad dogs by Lilia. They really bite anyone they see."

Ji Qi grabbed Rong Yi's restless hand and said calmly, "It's normal for us to be attacked for coming to the Fairy Tale Kingdom without proper diplomatic authorization. Let's go back."

"Urias, we'll settle this score next time." Rong Yi didn't resist and let Ji Qi take him away, but before leaving, he couldn't help but throw out a harsh remark, just like elementary school students arguing—even if you lose the fight, you can't lose the argument. Meanwhile, in the Crown Prince's conference room.

Mingxi lay sprawled on the conference room table, listening to the tedious meeting with a lifeless expression, holding a lollipop that Mingjin had casually handed him, licking it with a bored look on his face.

His phone vibrated slightly, as if a message had been sent. He glanced at it briefly but made no move to pick it up and check it.

“The entrance to the Three-Colored Maze Palace has disappeared, and it is known that no one survived.” Ming Jin said slowly, looking at the copy of the file in her hand. “Although we don’t know where the next entrance will appear, the information we have collected so far is practically useless. Even if we encounter it, we will be completely clueless.”

Cunxi rolled his eyes and said, "That's the same as saying nothing at all." If he had known it was all nonsense, he wouldn't have left his work to attend the meeting.

Ming Jin wasn't angry; she simply said, "Even simple cases need to be sorted out a bit. After all, no matter what the scenario is, even if the beginning is the same, the final result will be completely different from what we predicted, depending on the choices we make. That's life."

"The life of an NPC?" Olycia asked.

Ming Jin chuckled and said, "Isn't that right? For us, it's just a simple dungeon game, but for them, it's just a part of life. I'm not suggesting you show them pity, but I'm just warning you not to give away your sympathy so easily. After all, we and the NPCs are two opposing factions, and casually associating with them can lead to big trouble—it's either you or me. I suggest you use your brains when making friends, and don't believe everything you hear."

A soft knock sounded on the door. Shui Qi leaned against the door, chuckling as she looked at them and said, "Don't you close the door when you have a meeting?"

"We leave the door open to avoid the noise of people coming and going. Anyway, even if the door isn't closed, you can't hear anything from the conference room in the hallway," Ming Jin said meaningfully, glancing at Shui Qi.

"Spare me, I'm under a mountain of inspections every day, and I only just now have a moment to attend this meeting," Shui Qi said listlessly. "By the way, I just ran into Ling Tong and Xin Bai in the hallway. Something seemed off, like they'd been thrown into a pool of black water. I have a bad feeling about this."

"The Silk House instance is over, but the aftereffects are just beginning. I'll go back and talk to Ling Tong and Xin Bai face to face later. I hope it's not what I think." Ming Jin frowned, and the gentle smile on her face gradually disappeared.

Shui Qi pulled out a chair and sat down, then slowly said, "There's one more thing. I received a message from Xiao Ye Gui: Adele is dead, and Lust has been replaced."

"Who is it?" Horus asked, tapping his notebook with his pen.

“Urias, I will send Ling and Dang to investigate the details,” Ming Jin said in a low voice.

My pre-order for this novel is now open! It's the second book in the Mu Ye Gui series, the next one after this one, titled "When I Returned to the Interstellar from Paradise." As I mentioned before, it's an interstellar infinite flow story, and it's still a no-romance novel. However, the original official pairing of Mu Ye Gui and the Crown Prince will still have plenty of screen time in the next installment. Many familiar faces from this book will also appear if they didn't die in this one. Feel free to add it to your favorites if you're interested, since it's a pre-order novel.

There's also a card game novel called *Star of Glimmer*, which is a card-based competitive novel set ten thousand years after the events of *Lofer Continent*. It's a card world, but not closely related to the Lofer storyline. It features a completely new female lead, but the second female lead is still Mu Yegui. This one is basically a chaotic mix of characters from my other works, breaking down the dimensional barriers.

Both of these are pre-order novels. Once the main story is finished, I will release the one with more favorites first.
