I'll also work hard to conquer the dungeon today.

Chapter 700, Section 25, Chapter 39: The House of Silk and the Dollhouse

Chapter 700, Section 2.5, Chapter 39: The House of Silk and the Dollhouse

Mu Yegui turned to look at Fei, tilted her head and blinked, and said in a soft, sweet voice, "Don't worry, I won't really do anything. I'm not Xiaoyin, I'm just scaring Miss Lily."

She then looked at the large door in front of her; once it was opened, she could meet the Puppeteer and complete the final dungeon walkthrough.

Fei stood beside Mu Yegui, remaining silent with her, without urging her to open the door quickly.

Suddenly, Mu Yegui murmured, "Fei, do you think... our actions resemble those of invaders?"

Fei was startled. Yes, all along their actions had been blatant acts of aggression against the NPCs. But were they really doing the right thing?
Mu Yegui didn't say anything more, but simply raised his hand and pushed open the door.

With the creaking sound of the door opening, the two gradually saw the entire interior.

"So you've finally arrived?" The puppeteer glanced at the two of them, then his gaze finally settled on Miss Lily, who was being held in Mu Yegui's arms, and his eyes darkened slightly.

Beneath her curled eyelashes, her cool silver eyes were calm and undisturbed, just like the morning when they first met, the sunlight was just right, yet they were still far apart.

The black skirt swayed slightly, like a proud black lily blooming on a mountaintop, gently swaying.

Her soft, sweet voice was cool and indifferent, devoid of any extra emotion. "I'm here to keep my promise, but you don't seem ready yet."

Those slightly cloudy, azure eyes narrowed abruptly, as if remembering something. They moved their lips slightly and leaned forward a little, but then returned to their original position in the next second.

"I was prepared long ago, but you just didn't show up!!!" The puppeteer's terrifying face became even more distorted with his expression. He was angry and furious. He had made a promise but broke it. In the end, all he could remember was himself. How ridiculous!

Fei subconsciously turned her head to look at Mu Yegui, but only saw that beautiful profile; her face still didn't show much emotion.

In fact, Fei didn't know if Mu Yegui had those memories, but Ling Tong had told Mu Yegui about the girl's encounter with Qiong in the dream. Now, Mu Yegui was pretending to be the girl to keep the appointment. Although the girl seemed to be Mu Yegui herself, or perhaps Lycia, it was still the same person, so there was no chance of being exposed.

"You're ready? Did you really make the doll? Did you really make this doll?" Mu Yegui paused, his cold silver eyes glancing at the unconvinced Miss Lily, before speaking softly again, "Can Miss Lily really be considered a doll?"

Miss Lily blinked, and after pondering Mu Yegui's words, her emotions completely exploded, and she struggled angrily.

Mu Yegui casually let go of her, took a few steps back and walked behind Fei, no longer paying attention to Miss Lily.

He took a step forward and blocked Mu Yegui's path, also blocking Miss Lily's angry gaze.

"I'm not a doll! I'm Daddy's child!! Take back what you said!!!" Miss Lily retorted fiercely.

Mu Yegui tilted her head, leaned out from behind Fei, her beautiful face showing a hint of innocence, and said seriously, "Whether what I said is true or not, Miss Lily, didn't you notice? Are you deliberately ignoring it or don't want to know? Since Miss Lily is so unwilling to believe it, why not ask the puppeteer if what I said is true? He's standing right there now, you'll know once you ask him."

After she finished speaking, she shrank back behind Fei. Miss Lily glared at her, but her glare was fixed on Fei, and she couldn't help but bar her teeth in anger.

“I don’t believe it!” Miss Lily said, turning to the puppeteer and asking, “Daddy! She’s lying, isn’t she!”

The puppeteer did not answer Miss Lily, but simply lowered his eyes and avoided looking at her.

Miss Lily was slightly taken aback, a hint of disbelief on her face. After witnessing the puppeteer's performance, she realized that what Mu Yegui had said was true. However, knowing was one thing, accepting it was another. She couldn't accept the reality that her entire life was a lie, nor could she accept the fact that she wasn't human.

Why is this so?
"I am a human! I really am a human! I am my father's child!!!" Miss Lily cried out, tears welling in her eyes, repeating lies that even she herself could not believe.

“I am a human being… I really am… How could I not be? I grow up, I cry, I laugh, I eat… What about me is not human? Tell me!!!” Miss Lily cried out in anguish.

“Dad…I’m your child, right? I must be your child!” Miss Lily walked toward the puppeteer in despair, reaching out to grab his sleeve, but he slowly closed his eyes and avoided her touch.

The puppeteer said softly, "Lily, you are my puppet." His words shattered Miss Lily's illusions.

Miss Lily collapsed to the ground as if she had lost all her strength, and crystal tears fell from her deep blue eyes, which were just like the puppeteer's.

She seemed to have forgotten one thing: she was never the puppeteer's child. Initially, she thought she was the child of that woman and someone else, but later, seeing how similar the two were, she told herself that perhaps it was a conspiracy, and that she was the puppeteer's child.

The lie you tell keeps coming back to you, and then it becomes the truth.

But it was all a lie, and everything will eventually be exposed.

All of this was just her deceiving herself.

Seeing this scene, Mu Yegui suddenly reached out and tugged at Fei's sleeve.

Fei subconsciously turned his head, only to see the latter beckoning him with a finger, signaling him to come closer.

Fei bent down slightly and approached Mu Yegui. Mu Yegui whispered in Fei's ear, "Cooperate with me for a little while. If I'm not mistaken, the Spider Queen and Miss Lily are connected."

As soon as she finished speaking, Miss Lily began to tremble all over, "Ahhhhhh..."

"Here it comes." Mu Yegui drew his short sword without hesitation and severed the line of attack that came at once.

Delicate white threads drifted through the air, passing over that exquisite and beautiful face; her cool, silver eyes were both calm and dangerous.

Miss Lily trembled and fell to the ground. Eight hairy legs, which had been pierced in her back, stood firmly on the ground. There was no doubt that they were her feet.

"Kill you...kill you...kill you..." Miss Lily's eerie murmur, accompanied by the spider's voice, was terrifying and chilling.

Holding his short sword, Mu Yegui casually cut the extremely fine, almost invisible threads that 'Miss Lily' had spat out, while calmly instructing Fei, "Fei, go cut the threads."

As she spoke, she raised her hand, a crystal-clear stone between her fingers. Without a doubt, this was the memory stone that Miss Clillie had always wanted.

Mu Yegui moved closer to 'Miss Lily', slammed the stone in his hand into her forehead, and then kicked her away.

The cold, silver eyes watched 'Miss Lily' silently as she was kicked against the wall and fell heavily to the ground, listening to her pitiful screams of pain.

The black skirt swayed gently, and her beautiful, misty gray hair flowed down like shimmering silver threads. Mu Yegui said calmly, "Didn't Miss Lily always want it? Now I'm giving it to you."

The scene where Ye Gui peeks out from behind the flying creature is: Ye Gui sneaks around, your little cutie suddenly appears!

Speaking of which, have you noticed that Joan never said that Miss Lily was his child? It was always Miss Lily who called him "Dad".

At the end of the Secret Mansion, when Miss Lily first met the Puppeteer, Miss Lily's memory was that she was born of 'Mother'. Later, when she lived with the Puppeteer, because the two looked extremely similar, Miss Lily's mentality changed, and she began to believe that she was Joan's child, and that what she had seen before was just a lie.

This is the change in Miss Lily's mindset during the Secret Mansion and Silk House periods. In general, it's a process of self-conquest and eventual realization of its appeal. It's just that the text doesn't specifically describe her mental journey, but that doesn't mean it doesn't.

So don't think that the completely different attitudes of Miss Lily towards Joan in the two instances are out of character. When I wrote that Miss Lily and Joan look similar in the Secret Mansion, I was actually hinting at this aspect of the plot.

Why does the lady's child resemble Joan? Because the lady's child was replaced long ago. Miss Lily was a doll created by Joan to replace that child, which is why they look so alike.
