Chapter 666, Part 25: The Truth About [Lustful Adele]

Chapter 666 2.5 [Lust - Adele] The Truth: Part 1

"Open your eyes when you wake up."

Her thick, curled, silver-purple eyelashes fluttered slightly, and she slowly opened her iris-purple eyes, which seemed to sparkle with starlight.

He tried to move but found his hands and feet were bound by chains. His thin lips moved slightly, and then he looked up at the boy standing in front of the cell door.

The white robe was out of place in the dirty prison, and her beautiful long silver hair was simply braided into a three-strand braid hanging down her back. She wore a silver bellflower crown on her head.

His delicate and beautiful face still carried a hint of immaturity and naivety, yet his expression was exceptionally cold and mature. The golden phoenix mark between his brows added a touch of holiness, making him appear like a noble deity descending from the heavens to the mortal world.

The cold, silver eyes stared fixedly at the disheveled man in the cell, chained up, as if he were an insignificant ant.

The man leaned against the simple wall, looking up at the holy son who radiated a holy light. A slight, sarcastic smile played on his lips. His long, silver-purple hair cascaded casually over his shoulders, and his face, though disheveled, still displayed stunning beauty, alluring and tempting.

"What do you want by going to all this trouble to bring me here?" Adele asked with a sarcastic smile.

Lanlos tilted his head and chuckled as he looked at Adele, saying cryptically, "Why don't you guess?"

Adele turned her head to the side and said, "I won't guess."

The boy raised an eyebrow and asked, "Then what are you asking?" Did he think he was that stupid to expect the answer without being asked?
Adele: "..."

He was silent for a few seconds, then said in a low voice, "If it was just for that matter, you didn't need to go to such lengths to arrest me."

With his cold, silver eyes fixed on the disheveled Adele, Lanlos chuckled softly and said, "It seems your memories have returned."

"..." Adele was speechless for a few seconds. He gritted his teeth and said with a hint of humiliation, "I didn't kill Li Yang and Yan."

Lanlos fiddled with his sleeve, glancing at Adele in between, and sneered, "Of course I know you didn't kill them. With your strength, it's more likely you were the one who got killed."

"Then..." Before Adele could finish speaking, the words she heard the next second made her feel as if she had fallen into an ice cellar.

“Because there’s no need,” Lanlos chuckled.

"What do you mean?" Adele asked, frowning.

"Don't understand?" Lanlos chuckled as he looked at Adele, but his eyes were as cold as if he were looking at a dead person.

He reached out and gently tapped the lock on the cell, and with a 'thud,' the lock opened. Lanlos opened the cell door and slowly walked in, coming to stand before Adele. He bent down slightly and whispered in her ear, "It doesn't matter who the murderer is, the key is to frame you."

Adele's brow furrowed even deeper. "Why? I really don't understand why you've been targeting me like this since before, even though I haven't done anything."

"Perhaps it's because your presence is too out of place; you're just an eyesore," Lanlos pondered, lightly tapping his lower lip with his slender, pale fingertips, and slowly said.

“I can’t accept just such a subjective opinion,” Adele said, shaking her head.

"Speaking of which... you really were kept in the dark about this whole thing, how pathetic." Lanlos chuckled sarcastically, then leaned close to Adele's ear and whispered again, "Your innate ability to possess a seductive voice isn't a gift, but because you were the first nourishment for that little succubus during her heat, chosen by the rules..." Adele's pupils constricted sharply the moment she heard this. She remembered something, the horned boy she had seen in the royal city.

As Lanlos observed Adele's expression, he continued, "The harassment you suffered from childhood was actually the rules' way of cultivating you into someone who couldn't live without desire. Only in this way could you truly serve as nourishment, allowing that little succubus to grow into adulthood. The rules never chose you; you were just a pathetic reserve of food."

Seeing that Adele didn't speak, he asked to himself, "Do you know why you ended up becoming lust?"

Adele slightly raised her eyes to look at Lanlos. She had hated Lanlos from the beginning, and not just Lanlos, but everyone except Rong Yi. Every time, they looked at him with that condescending gaze, as if he were some kind of trash, even though he hadn't done anything wrong.

He remained silent, only subconsciously biting his lower lip, trying to use the pain to wake himself up and avoid falling into Lanlos's trap.

Seeing that Adele didn't speak, Lanlos sneered, raised his hand, grabbed Adele's neck, and slammed him against the wall.

He leaned close to Adele's ear and spoke in a murmured, intimate tone, his words chillingly cold: "I killed that little succubus."

“You…” Adele stared at Lanlos in disbelief, unsure of what to say.

The hand gripped his throat tightly, and Adele felt like a drowning person struggling to breathe.

Lanlos gripped Adele's neck, his grip tightening, yet his smile and demeanor remained as elegant and composed as ever. He chuckled as he looked at Adele, then with a slight movement of his other hand, which was pressing against Adele's shoulder, he snapped Adele's shoulder blade.

Adele's expression twisted in an instant, but she couldn't scream because her neck was being choked.

Lanlos watched Adele's pupils slowly dilate before releasing his grip on her neck.

He looked down at Adele and chuckled, "I can't let him come of age because his abilities are a natural counter to me. Once he's an adult, I won't be able to deal with him, and it might even cause trouble. So I chose you as my puppet. After all, you were chosen by the rules as his reserve, and you possess at least some of his power. So when I kill him, you will naturally become Lust."

"Aren't you happy? After all, you climbed to the top by stepping on your 'master'." Lanlos reached out and gently brushed away the cold sweat from his hair, speaking softly.

“…Get out.” Adele glared at Lanlos fiercely, gasping for breath as she squeezed out the word through clenched teeth.

Her beautiful silver-purple eyes were glistening with tears, and there was a bluish-purple handprint on her fair and delicate neck, which was quite frightening. However, because Adele's face was so beautiful, it was more exciting than frightening, making people want to tease her more.

"As expected of one of the beauties of her time, she looks really good when she cries." Lanlos looked down at Adele and said with an ambiguous expression.

This is the Lustful Side Quest and the main storyline's truth, which unfolds simultaneously with the dungeon.

For those who don't understand, here's a hint: Adele was imprisoned because he 'killed' the first Wrath and Greed. So when Adele says in this chapter that he didn't kill Leyan and Flame, Leyan and Flame refer to the first Greed and Wrath.

Incidentally, Leyan appears in the Flower Crown as the city lord who likes to play with snakes, but that timeline is before the king, so Leyan had not yet become Greedy at that time.

This echoes the plot point in the Flower Crown where Li Yang says a child will kill him in the future, both hinting that Li Yang is the first generation of Greed.

The name Flame only appeared once in the Flower Crown, and it was when someone else mentioned Flame Sister. So, the first Wrathful One was a girl, a heroic and valiant older sister.
