I'll also work hard to conquer the dungeon today.
Chapter 653, Section 24: 'Fish'
Chapter 653, Section 2.4: 'Fish'
The dungeon was dimly lit, with candlelight flickering on and off.
The old, stained walls emitted a foul stench, but no one paid any attention to it.
The painful coughing sounds were accompanied by the splashing of water and the cold creaking of chains scraping against the ground.
"Press it down." The cold command came, showing no regard for the suffering of the person being tortured.
"Yes." The man grabbed Tang Xiuna by the back of the head and shoved him hard into the water.
In the filthy dungeon, the only incongruous figure was a young man in a white divine robe, leisurely sipping red tea not far away.
Her long, silver hair cascaded down her back, held loosely back with a white ribbon, and she wore a crown of olive branches carved with white lisianthus. Her exquisitely beautiful face was like the most perfect work of a god, and her silver eyes were devoid of any emotion as she looked down on everyone.
He gently put down his teacup and said slowly, "Pull it up."
The sound of splashing water echoed in the dungeon.
Tang Xiuna's hair was disheveled and his clothes were soaked with water. He glared at Lanlos, who was radiating holy light, with a contorted face, coughing painfully and completely lacking his usual handsome appearance.
"Where did you hide Adele?" Lanlos asked slowly, his long fingers tracing circles along the rim of the teacup, glancing at Tang Xiuna.
"I don't know," Tang Xiuna said through gritted teeth.
Lanlos paused slightly as he drew the circle, then coldly commanded, "Press it down."
"Yes!" the man replied, roughly pressing Tang Xiuna's head down and pushing him back into the water.
“If you’re willing to reveal Adele’s whereabouts, I can forgive your betrayal and forgive everything you’ve done before. What do you say?” Lanlos chuckled elegantly, his cold silver eyes fixed on Tang Shuna, and whispered seductively.
Tang Xiuna was pulled out of the water by his collar. He coughed and said defiantly, "Cough cough cough, dream on!"
"Is that so?" Lanlos stood up and slowly walked to Tang Xiuna, watching Tang Xiuna's disheveled appearance as if he were admiring it.
A slight smile played on his lips as he leaned close to Tang Xiuna's ear, his voice slow and deliberate, tinged with a barely perceptible chill. "I heard you have a girlfriend looking for you. How about... I have her come and keep you company?"
Tang Xiuna froze, looking at Lanlos in disbelief. Then he began to struggle violently, seemingly trying to break free from the restraints of others.
"Behave yourself!" The others held his arms tightly to prevent him from getting close to Lanlos, and even kicked him, almost knocking him to the side.
Tang Xiuna was breathing heavily, glaring fiercely at Lanlos. He gritted his teeth and refused to say another word, but his heart was wavering.
"How pathetic." Lanlos tilted his head, looking at Tang Xiuna in such a state, and chuckled as he commented, "If you hadn't betrayed me back then, you wouldn't be in this state now. A dog should know its place as a dog. Don't think you're so great just because I gave you a leash. In the end, you're still just my dog."
"You pretend to obey my orders while using the name 'Oriole' to hinder me. Do you think I don't know? I'm just too lazy to bother with a nobody like you. Do you really think you're something special?" Lanlos looked down at Tang Xiuna and said coldly.
Just then, soft footsteps came from the stairs not far away.
Lanlos narrowed his eyes slightly, then said, "Press it down."
The man pressed Tang Xiuna's head down and pushed him back into the water. Tang Xiuna didn't have time to catch his breath, causing a large amount of water to enter his lungs, making him feel like he was about to die.
So sad.
so painful...
Jafar, gun in hand, pursued the group of people in front of him. When he saw that the person being pulled from the water was Don Shuna, his brows furrowed sharply. "It's you!" "Where's Adele!" Jafar shouted.
"It's a pity Adele isn't here," Lanlos chuckled at Gafar.
The next second, he was hit hard on the neck, and Jafar's vision went black as he collapsed.
“I didn’t expect this fish to be a Jafar,” Dionysus said slowly as he emerged from the shadows.
Lanlos glanced at the fallen Jafar and said in a low voice, "It could only be Jafar. Urias is being watched too closely and can't make a move."
Dionysus bent down, grabbed Jafar by the collar, and pulled him up. His narrow, golden phoenix eyes looked at the unconscious Jafar with an inscrutable expression, and he asked, "So, what do you plan to do? Or are you going to play the long game?"
“Speaking of which, I have a better idea.” Lanlos stepped up to Dionysus, his cold silver eyes observing Jafar’s face, and suddenly chuckled.
"Hmm?" Dionysus slightly lifted his eyelids, showing no particular reaction.
"If Sister Ye Gui knew that her people had become mine, I wonder if she would be angry? I'm quite looking forward to her reaction." Lanlos reached out and lightly tapped Jiafa's brow, and a golden phoenix mark slowly appeared but disappeared in the next second.
“Although you rejected me before, you are mine now.” Lanlos gazed quietly at Jafar’s face and said with a soft laugh.
"Is it necessary?" Dionysus asked, frowning.
Lanlos tilted his head and looked at Dionysus, his silver eyes cold and devoid of any emotion. He chuckled and said, "Nothing is more interesting than killing each other, don't you think so, little wine?"
Dionysus sighed softly and said helplessly, "What a twisted sense of humor. Do whatever you want."
"Are you going to rest?" Lanlos asked, watching Dionysus carrying Gafar as they prepared to leave.
“There are some incredible wines in the Fairy Tale Kingdom that I’d like to try. I’ll leave Jafar at the inn while I’m there,” Dionysus said slowly, glancing back at Lanlos.
“I’m telling you, drinking too much alcohol is bad for your health. You’re not the God of Wine anymore, so at least be kinder to your body,” Lanlos said helplessly.
“I refuse,” Dionysus said without hesitation.
Lanlos: "..." Hopeless.
After Dionysus left, Lanlos looked at Tanshuna, whose expression was filled with disbelief.
"Where is..." Tang Xiuna hadn't finished speaking when the man covered his mouth.
“That’s right, just as you think. I don’t need you to say anything more. Right now, you’re just bait for me to catch big fish. I wonder when your dear girlfriend will come looking for you?” Lanlos chuckled meaningfully. “Lock her up.”
Before leaving, Lanlos glanced at Tang Xiuna with a cold and condescending look.
I wonder if you've guessed where they are? I've basically revealed everything that needed to be revealed, except for explicitly stating where they are.
From here on, Gafar officially turned to the dark side and became an enemy. He was also tricked into coming here, but Lanlos was still one step ahead.
Lanlos is described as a boy here because he has 'grown up'. Even so, his body is merely a 'puppet' he created himself, so of course he can make it as big as he wants.
For details regarding Lanlos's mention of the 'nightingale,' see Lanlos's words in 1.11 17, the Godfather of the Hall of Amnesia. At that time, Fernana was not yet the Crown Princess, so the nightingale referred to Tangshuna using the nightingale's name to hinder laziness.
