Chapter 606, page 2.1-80: The Crown: The Treasure of a Lost Dynasty
"Is it... hard to make a choice?" Mu Yegui placed her hands behind her back, tilting her head slightly as she looked at the handsome man in front of her.

Her long, misty gray hair, braided into three braids, fell casually down her back to her thighs. A black veil covered her hair, which fluttered in the breeze. Her delicate and beautiful face was hidden by the veil, revealing only her pair of clear, calm silver eyes, which were now fixedly staring at Lin Ya.

Above her, a sky full of stars stretched out before her. She stood barefoot on the smooth ground, her cool, silver eyes shining as brightly as the glittering Milky Way, even more radiant than the moonlight.

Lin Ya's thin lips moved slightly as he looked at the nightmare book in his hand through the black veil. Suddenly, he reached out and removed the black veil covering his eyes, revealing his blood-red vertical pupils that were as clear and alluring as rubies.

He gazed at her, looking into those indescribable yet captivating silver eyes. Even though he couldn't leave any trace in those eyes no matter what he did, he still couldn't help but want her to look at him.

Just being watched brings immense joy, as if I possess the whole world.

Something that is neither gold nor silver, yet more translucent than gemstones, more dazzling than the sun, and more beautiful than the moon, truly exists. Right before him are those deep yet serene silver eyes.

Like a dazzling galaxy, it shimmers with unparalleled brilliance; like a thin mist in the frosty sky, it is hazy and ethereal, leaving no trace.

There was only calm in those eyes, a calmness that left him feeling helpless, lost, and utterly resigned.

Even with her fatal weakness in his hands, he couldn't see a single trace of extra emotion in those eyes.

Lin Ya chuckled softly, as if mocking himself. His beautiful, ruby-like vertical pupils held a hint of helplessness. He seemed to give in as he took Mu Yegui's hand and placed the Nightmare Book back in her palm, then reached out and hugged her.

“I’m sorry… I can’t do it…” His heart told him that he couldn’t bring himself to lay a hand on her. He had indeed betrayed his beliefs and could no longer obey the king as before.

Mu Yegui was held in Lin Ya's arms, feeling his trembling and care. She lowered her eyelids, her clear silver eyes containing an inscrutable color.

She took a few steps back from Lin Ya, her clear, silver eyes remaining as calm as ever, or perhaps devoid of any emotion.

A loud 'boom' came from afar, accompanied by a slight tremor in the ground, as if something big had happened.

"Your Excellency, the gem you requested is over there. Would you please go and retrieve it?" A magnetic, slightly sinister voice drifted over as the man strolled over, the gold ornaments on his body jingling with each step.

Li Yang pointed a long, slender finger at the smoke rising in the distance and gestured for Lin Ya to leave quickly.

Lin Ya glanced at Li Yang, then covered her eyes with black gauze again before jumping off the platform, which was dozens of meters high.

After Lin Ya left, Li Yang smiled nonchalantly, glanced at Mu Yegui with his amber eyes, and said in a light tone with a hint of regret, "What a pity, I thought Lin Ya would make a move."

"You want to use Lin Ya to kill me, and then go and claim credit with him? That's quite a clever idea." Mu Yegui looked up at this unfathomable man and said slowly.

"So, what a pity, the chance is gone." Li Yang chuckled and took two steps to the side.

Mu Yegui then noticed who was standing behind him. Her cool, silver eyes showed a hint of surprise. She opened her mouth, clearly not expecting this.

"The game of hide-and-seek is almost over. Do you really want me to come and catch you myself?" The man with golden vertical pupils looked coldly at Mu Yegui and strode forward to stand in front of him.

"Long time no see," Mu Yegui said softly.

"Let's skip this hypocritical greeting. My tolerance for you, you little liar, has reached its limit." He leaned slightly forward, bending close to Mu Yegui's ear, and said in a tone that was both ambiguous and malicious, "The Holy Son said that you are currently powerless to resist. I wonder if that's true?"

"Wang Zhen really believes everything anyone says." Mu Yegui showed no panic at being exposed, and she remained calm as she spoke.

"If it's fake, why don't you run away?" Wang sneered.

Mu Yegui tilted her head and stared at Wang, pondering, "He probably thinks it's not worth it." His golden vertical pupils scrutinized Mu Yegui. He chuckled and grabbed Mu Yegui by the back of her collar, lifting her up like a child and making her sit on his arm.

"Notify the others to assemble in the capital. There must be no mistakes." With that, Wang Fei took off and disappeared into the air.

Li Yang thoughtfully stroked the head of the red snake on his wrist, his amber eyes carrying a hint of disdain and indifference. He glanced at something not far away and said slowly, as if mocking, "I'm afraid you haven't even noticed it yourself..."

at the same time.

"Huh? Going to the capital? That's so far..." The petite girl pouted as she sat on the large chair, her expression showing a hint of dissatisfaction, but she still obediently stood up, shook off the hand of the man who came forward to serve her, and walked straight out the door.

"Get out of my way! I want to go with Sister Yan! It won't make a difference if it's just a few more days!"

The man followed closely behind the girl, frowning as he advised, "Lord Yan said he would go after she finished drinking the wine, so even if you go, you won't be able to wait for her."

The girl paused slightly. "Who did this?"

"I'm not entirely sure, but I heard that Lord Yan met a like-minded friend, and the two of them drank all night long," the man said in a low voice.

Girl: "..." I might as well drink her to death.

the other side.

"A major operation has begun." Dao Lin looked at the various donkey carts passing by on the street, a dark glint flashing in his icy blue eyes.

"How are Daolin's preparations going?" Beltias pushed open the door, looked at the round toy in his hand, and asked.

“Of course.” Daolin smiled confidently at Bertias, raised the black sphere in his hand, and added, “It’s perfect for sieges; one can basically destroy a tower.”

"But you need to be far away or you'll get caught in the crossfire, right?" Mingxi, sitting not far away, turned her head and glared at Daolin, saying irritably.

“Yes, that’s why we need you, the strongest person, to throw it.” Dao Lin casually tossed it to Ming Xi and said.

"Hey! Be careful!" Mingxi quickly took it, glanced at it nervously, and said.

"Without a wire, it won't explode," Dao Lin said quietly, glancing at Ming Xi.

"Then let's proceed according to the original plan. Dao Lin, you should get going." Shui Qi leaned against the wall, her long, narrow blue eyes quietly watching Dao Lin as she spoke.

"You really know how to order me around..." Dao Lin sighed softly, feeling helpless.

"Who told you to look like the Holy Son?" Shui Qi chuckled, then glanced down at her phone, her expression turning serious.

Noyce has lost contact; hopefully nothing bad has happened.

The matter is actually quite simple; Mu Yegui went too far.

Li Yang is actually an important character, as you'll find out later.
