Chapter 59, Section 14: The Fog Tracking Battle
Chapter 59, Section 1.4: The Fog Tracking Battle
"Daolin, Daolin!" Mu Yin followed Daolin down the path, but couldn't help calling out.
"Hmm?" Dao Lin suddenly stopped on the stairs, turned to look at Mu Yin, and asked in confusion.
Mu Yin hopped a few steps to Dao Lin's side, and whispered mysteriously in his ear, "Aren't you going to look for the mole anymore?"
The warm breath on his ear stirred something within Dao Lin. He darkened his icy blue eyes and slowly said, "Hmm, I won't look for it anymore. Jing Yan is protecting it; I wouldn't risk breaking ties with my teammates under these circumstances."
"Forget it, it's your own business, I don't care." Mu Yin blinked, sighed indifferently, put his hands behind his head, and skipped downstairs.
Dao Lin looked at Mu Yin, something flashing through his mind, and suddenly called out, "Mu Yin."
When Mu Yin heard Dao Lin call him, he straightened up, turned around and looked at him, asking in confusion, "Hmm?"
"If... I mean if... someone lies to you, what would you do?" The icy blue eyes stared intently at Mu Yin, even though it was too dark to see Mu Yin's appearance clearly.
"Me?" Mu Yin asked again, uncertainly.
"Yes, you. What would you do?" Dao Lin asked confidently.
“Kill him.” Mu Yin chuckled and answered without hesitation, “I will cut off his head without hesitation, so that he will have no chance to lie to me again.”
Dao Lin paused for a moment, as if he had made up his mind, and looked at Mu Yin seriously, saying each word carefully, "Then, if I ever lie to you in the future, just kill me."
Mu Yin was slightly taken aback, not understanding why Dao Lin would say that. But the latter had no intention of explaining and simply walked past him back to the sofa where the two had first met.
Mu Yin hesitated for a moment, then muttered to himself, "I didn't say I was going to kill you... It depends on the person... At worst, I'll just do what that expressionless guy said... I'll trick him into coming back..."
the next day.
After everyone woke up, they talked amongst themselves, except for Jingyan and Daolin, who remained silent.
Xiaomar walked up to Daolin and asked with a light laugh, "Did you two have a fight? You went to bed early, so it seems like you didn't have a chance to fight."
Daolin lifted his eyelids slightly but said nothing, seemingly acquiescing to Xiaomar's words. The next second, a towel was placed over Daolin's head, and Mu Yin said with a grin, "Your hair is the same color as the towel, why don't you just go out wrapped in a towel?"
"I'm not a towel monster." Dao Lin pulled a towel, which fell into his hand. He rolled his eyes at Mu Yin and said.
"That white-haired monster?" Mu Yin asked, following behind Dao Lin.
Dao Lin soaked the towel in water, then gently wrung it out and wiped his face, saying helplessly, "What grudge do you have against monsters? And how childish to play this kind of game."
Dao Lin was definitely not the first person to call Mu Yin naive, but he was the first to say it openly and honestly.
Mu Yin has lived for countless years, yet he still has the personality of a child, which may be related to the time he was confined in the human laboratory.
Mu Yin wasn't angry at Dao Lin's words. He pouted and said truthfully, "Because I'm bored. Dao Lin, how about we take the initiative today?"
“You don’t seem to be able to lay a hand on anyone…” Dao Lin raised an eyebrow, turned his head and saw Mu Yin chuckle, “So quickly give up your dangerous idea.”
"Actually, it's not that you can't break the rules," Mu Yin murmured, considering his own position. Although he was required to abide by the rules, the Crown Prince's rules were above the game's rules, and he could indeed disregard any rules to play the game.
There's something he didn't tell anyone: he accidentally moved a rock by the roadside, disrupting the instance and thus getting himself involved. Originally, he shouldn't have been in this instance.
"What did you say?" Dao Lin paused, turned around, and asked.
"There's nothing there." Mu Yin shook his head, not intending to reveal the matter. At least until Dao Lin became the crown prince, he would absolutely not expose his identity.
“Yesterday’s probing should be over by now, it’s time to proceed with our plan.” Shomar had the two men hold up the map, then looked at Daolin, indicating that he could begin.
Daolin shook his head and said, "Let's leave this to Jingyan. He should have made a lot of preparations."
Xiao Mar was stunned. He turned to look at Jing Yan, who was also stunned, and frowned. What was Dao Lin up to now?
Not afraid of causing trouble, Mu Yin even clapped a few times to show his welcome.
Jing Yan: "..."
As Dao Lin walked past him, he paused and said in a low voice, "Go ahead, isn't this what you wanted? Don't disappoint me, Jing Yan." With that, he led Mu Yin to the sofa and sat down, looking like he was listening attentively.
“Then let’s go through Jingyan,” Xiaomar said with an indifferent shrug.
Jing Yan glanced at Mu Yin, who was grinning at him beside Dao Lin, and suddenly felt a chill. He awkwardly walked over to look at the map and began to ramble on.
Time passed by, and Dao Lin fell into a deep sleep again. Mu Yin yawned, indicating that he was also a little sleepy.
'Dong~ Dong~ Dong~' The heavy bell rang, and the game began.
Dao Lin stood up and walked out first, without giving Jing Yan any glance. But when he reached the door, he suddenly stopped and slowly said, "Everyone head to the ruins area. Our relief center is there tonight. You decide what to do next."
"Daolin!" Jingyan said angrily.
"I gave you a chance, Jing Yan. Just as I didn't deny you, you don't need to comment on my opinion." After saying that, he walked out first.
"They really did have a fight. I knew the atmosphere was weird." Xiaomar patted Jingyan's shoulder nonchalantly and chuckled, "Brother, don't worry about it. No matter what, you're still our captain. See you in the ruins area."
In the end, only Jing Yan was left in the room. He angrily punched Qiang, his heart filled with rage.
As he turned to leave, he was confronted by Mu Yin, who was standing at the door and had not followed Dao Lin. Startled, he took a half-step back, his heart filled with terror.
“Although Daolin doesn’t want me to do this, I think… we don’t need teammates who would fight each other… What do you think?” Mu Yin said to Jing Yan with a grin, holding a short sword in one hand and rushing towards him as if he couldn’t wait.
"Mu Yin." Dao Lin's slightly weary, cold voice came from the doorway again.
Mu Yin pinned Jing Yan to the ground, grabbing him by the collar with one hand and raising his short sword high, ready to stab him, but stopped in his tracks at the sudden sound. He stood up as if nothing had happened and said with a smile, "Oops, I've been found out."
His expression showed no panic or embarrassment at being caught red-handed; it didn't matter to him at all.
Mu Yin had absolutely no regard for human life.
