Chapter 565, Part 21: The Crown Prince

Chapter 565 2.1 The Crown Prince (Part Twelve)
"It's almost time," Shui Qi said in a low voice.

In other words, the remaining crown princes who have not yet appeared will arrive one after another, including those who came and then left.

"Shui Qi! Can you please stop letting Lan Xiao keep staring at me? I'm still having afternoon tea!" Olycia stormed in and said angrily.

Jolin followed behind Olycia, looking helpless. Fortunately, it wasn't the young lady with another personality, otherwise things would have gotten even more out of control.

"What's wrong? I just asked Xiaoxiao to remind you not to forget the time, and... what should we have for afternoon tea tonight?" Shui Qi narrowed her long, blue eyes and asked.

"The Fairy Tale Kingdom is during the day, and the weather in the Food Kingdom changes depending on the instance, so it can't be used as a reference at all!"

Olycia was furious. She was enjoying her afternoon tea when she was interrupted. Anyone would be angry if they were being watched from the shadows, and the person ran away as soon as she approached, leaving no room for negotiation.

Several black butterflies fluttered by, scattering jet-black phosphorescent powder. Their translucent wings seemed to let light through them as they gently landed on a fair finger.

Lan Xiao lowered her eyes, looking at the black butterfly on her fingertip. She didn't say anything to defend herself; she simply walked silently to the seat next to Shui Qi and sat down. The black butterfly on her fingertip vanished in an instant, turning into a black speck of light, but four black translucent butterflies still fluttered gracefully around her.

As the name suggests, the transparent-winged butterfly has transparent wings. It is said to be black because its wings have a wide black outline that completely outlines the shape of the wings. But apart from that, everything else is transparent. At first glance, it looks like a butterfly drawn on glass, beautiful but not realistic.

Shui Qi glanced at the black butterflies, her expression thoughtful. The black butterflies only appeared around Lan Xiao when she harbored murderous intent. As long as the murderous intent remained, the black butterflies would continue to exist.

Similarly, the Black Butterfly is also Lan Xiao's source of power, and they are one entity. Although Shui Qi has not yet fully understood the symbiotic relationship between Lan Xiao and the Black Butterfly.

"Fei, you're finally here! Where's my banana pancake?" Ji Rong was worried about what Fei had brought, glancing at the door every now and then, and finally saw a figure in black who had arrived late.

Two buttons of a white shirt were left undone, revealing her fair and prominent collarbone and the alluring black choker around her neck. Over the shirt was a black vest and a black overcoat that concealed them, which masked her seriousness and instead brought out a touch of cool handsomeness.

His black, tousled hair swayed gently with his movements, and his beautiful iris-purple eyes were fixed on the bag in his hand. His face was handsome and dashing, and his temperament leaned towards indifference yet subtly carried a hint of gentleness.

He appears aloof and rejects anyone's advances, yet he never treats people coldly—a contradiction that is both incredibly alluring and captivating. Just looking at him involuntarily instills a sense of security, as if he were a loyal knight, someone who ensures safety with you by your side.

He wore a very thin, long black stick at his waist, but it didn't look out of place at all; on the contrary, it suited him perfectly.

Ji Rong took the bag, took out a small box from it, sniffed it slightly, chuckled and thanked him, and eagerly opened it, saying, "I knew Fei understood me! This is banana pancakes from my favorite shop!"

Fei glanced at Ji Rong, still showing no intention of speaking. He simply walked to his seat, which was decorated with black horse head chess pieces, and stopped.

"Fei has changed a lot. He used to love playing with us, but now he won't even come to Dawn when I personally invited him. I'm so sad." Ji Rong looked at Fei with her beautiful peach blossom eyes and pretended to cry. Fei shook his head, still not intending to say anything.

Perhaps it was because of the deceased Ruan Peng, perhaps because of Ji Rong's philandering, or perhaps because his autism had worsened, or perhaps it was all of the above...

Since Fei injured his neck, he has not uttered a single word. Even though his throat wound has long since healed and his vocal cords have fully recovered, he still refuses to speak, as if this is how he keeps anyone away.

The more he once loved Ruan Peng, the more he now avoids contact with others. First love is always unforgettable; at least he hasn't been able to forget her, even though in his memory she seems to have been dead for a very long time, and he can barely remember what she looks like.

Shui Qi stroked the mole between his eyebrows, looked at Fei, then at Ji Rong, a faint smile playing on his lips. He had initially assumed Ji Rong was Fei's captain and would naturally join Dawn, but now he was told Fei hadn't joined and was still a solo player – a pleasant surprise indeed.

Whether or not he can invite Fei, at least he wasn't invited by anyone else, which means he's harmless. Besides, given Ji Rong's cunning nature, he wouldn't let an acquaintance be alone outside. He'll either bring them into his territory or destroy them so no one can have them.

Shui Qi raised an eyebrow, wondering if he should help Fei when he got into trouble. Even if he couldn't invite him, at least he could make Fei owe him a favor, which would make it much easier to use Fei's services later.

Isaiah tapped the table lightly and said, "Vice President, can you stop thinking about causing trouble and focus on resolving our internal conflicts first? We've already split into two factions; have you thought about that?"

"Shouldn't this be the president's responsibility? It has nothing to do with me," Shui Qi said casually.

Horus had barely stepped inside when he sensed an unusual gaze. He glanced around but didn't see anything. However, Chloe, standing beside him, spotted Ji Rong, and like a female cat in heat meeting a male cat, their eyes met and they instantly clicked.

Ji Rong's lips curled into a slightly frivolous smile as he gazed at Chloe, his smile deepening.

Even though neither of them spoke, it was as if they understood each other perfectly; they knew what the other wanted to do with just a glance.

"Ahem." Nois coughed lightly, interrupting their eye contact.

"You two look like you want to devour each other. Who's trying to 'pluck' whom from your body?" Noyce glanced at the two of them and said slowly.

If we're talking about being tough, then Neuss is the toughest. He confronts things head-on, and one of them is even his own boss. Isn't he afraid that Ji Rong will make things difficult for him?

“Noyce…” Ji Rong’s smile was a little stiff. The latter lifted his eyelids but did not give him any further answer.

Ji Rong: "..." Okay, this is very brave. Is he being treated like a demon king?
