Chapter 506, Section 21: Belonging

Chapter 506, Section 2.1: Belonging
A splash of water rose from the calm surface, making a crisp sound, and drifted away with the ripples.

The lion opened its mouth wide, and gushing hot spring water flowed into the bath.

Mu Yegui stood in the white jade bathtub, which was steaming with white heat, looking down at the rippling water and remaining silent.

Actually, she came back because there was an important thing she hadn't done yet: to form a knightly contract with the White Knight, Gafar, and the time was set for today.

Water poured down her head, tracing her delicate and beautiful face, running down her cheeks to her smooth chin, and landing on her sexy and defined collarbones. Water droplets accumulated on her collarbones, slowly overflowing, sliding down her fair and flat chest, and falling into the water.

Her curled eyelashes, like butterfly wings, fluttered, glistening with tiny water droplets, making them sparkle and translucent.

Her skin was very pale, so pale that it was obvious that she was different from a human, almost sickly. Even when she was soaking in a hot spring, she couldn't get a blush.

Because her blood wasn't red to begin with, and her body temperature was naturally cold.

There are still differences.

Mu Yegui wondered if she was truly not suited for interstellar travel, and if this place was the best fit for her...

Actually, it doesn't seem to matter if we stay.

Staying in this world seems better than going back...

At least, life is comfortable, unlike human society which has so many rules.

Her long, gray, curly hair hung wetly against her back, with water droplets dripping into the pool.

She slowly sat down, the water covering her head, but no bubbles came out.

Mu Yegui gazed at the water's surface with her cool, misty gray eyes, looking at the slightly distorted crystal chandelier and the luxurious furnishings in the bathroom, her expression calm and indifferent.

Her flat chest showed no rise or fall, no beating, and she had no breast tissue, the kind of red organ that is typical of human sexual characteristics. There was nothing there.

To outsiders, she was like an overly beautiful but lifeless doll, too beautiful to be defiled, yet one could only look up at her and dare not touch her.

She was like a black lily on a cold mountain peak, aloof and proud, yet possessing a captivating charm that drew people's souls away, making her unforgettable at first glance.

It was like a curse, an inexplicable urge to get close to her...

Get closer to her...

Having become her captive, one cannot harbor the slightest thought of betrayal, and reveres her as a deity, daring not to profane her.

Light footsteps came from the doorway. They should have been silent, but they deliberately made a noise to break the peace.

Mu Yegui stood up, broke through the water, and splashed water droplets that fell back down.

In the silence, only the faint sound of splashing water could be heard.

She slowly turned around and looked at the guy walking towards her step by step. Her curled eyelashes fluttered slightly, and the water droplets on her eyelashes rolled down.

The next second, a fair, slender, but slightly cold hand reached out and gently wiped the water droplets from her face.

Looking at that unfamiliar face, and feeling an undeniable sense of closeness, a faint smile appeared on her beautiful face, like the melting of millennia-old ice on a snow-capped mountain, bringing warmth to the cold, like spring flowers blooming in an instant. "Waiting always feels like an eternity. I often told myself you hadn't left, that you would come back, even then I wasn't sure if I was just deceiving myself. But when the time finally came, I felt it was all worth it. Thank goodness you came back."

It was a kind of satisfaction that was hard to describe. Just looking at her made me want to smile, a joy that came from the bottom of my heart.

"Is the meeting over?" Mu Yegui asked.

In this silence, only that soft, sweet voice could be heard, yet it carried a hint of indifference and aloofness, as if it were just a casual question.

"Not yet, it's halftime. We'll have someone prepare some refreshments for them. If we don't give them a break, they'll cause trouble again." Sher shook his head, frowning slightly as he thought of those troublesome guys, looking quite disgusted.

“It’s a contract, isn’t it?” Mu Yegui said knowingly.

Jealousy was the only reason why she dared to undermine Sher so brazenly. She opposed Sher every time, as if they were sworn enemies. But they weren't truly enemies; Jealousy didn't intend to kill Sher.

"Hmm." Sher responded simply, reaching out to touch the damp, misty gray long curly hair, which returned to its original fluffy and soft state in the next second, with no water droplets able to wet it at all.

"Aren't you angry, Sher? I took Jafar away." Mu Yegui asked softly, his cool silver eyes quietly gazing at Sher's calm, unwavering light gold vertical pupils.

"I can give you anything you want. Even without me, I can snatch it and give it to you. Everything is yours, and I am yours too." Sher lowered his eyes, his long, misty white eyelashes fluttering. He moved closer to Mu Yegui and placed a devout kiss on her forehead.

A golden totem mark flashed across her smooth, full forehead, but vanished in an instant, as if it had never existed.

"Jealousy beat us to it, but the timing isn't ideal either."

It should be more formal...

Sher released Mu Yegui and took a few steps back. He picked up a bathrobe from the side, and Mu Yegui walked up the steps to Sher, letting him put the bathrobe on her and tie it with a ribbon.

Suddenly the bathroom door opened, and a head popped in, shamelessly asking, "Oh, did I disturb you?"

"Excuse me, get out." Sher said coldly, his light gold vertical pupils carrying a hint of murderous intent.

"That's a pity, I have business to attend to here." Jealousy swaggered in, opening the door and carrying a bag containing an exquisitely packaged gift box.

His dark orange eyes held a hint of coldness, but his handsome face wore a smug smile. He joked, "So that's why you left in such a hurry. It's a pity I arrived too late, otherwise I would have liked to bathe with my master too."

Shel: "..."

Jealousy handed the gift box to Mu Yegui and said, "This is my latest design. It should be perfect for the upcoming ceremony. Try it on first, and I'll alter any parts that don't fit."

Mu Yegui nodded to Jealousy, took it, and then walked out without any hesitation, wearing a bathrobe.

Jealousy followed slowly behind, seemingly preparing to help her alter the dress she was about to wear.

As he passed Sher, he paused and gave him a provocative smile. Sher's expression turned cold, and he warned, "Don't go too far."

"How could that be? He is, after all, my master." Jealousy's smile deepened, emphasizing the word 'my'.

Suddenly, the atmosphere became extremely dangerous.
