Chapter 459, 127-37: A Bouquet of Blessings

Chapter 459, 1.27-37: A Bouquet of Blessings

The dim sky was gradually replaced by light, and day and night finally ushered in the light.

Mu Yegui slowly exhaled; it was finally over.

She turned to leave, but after taking only one step, the scenery around her changed dramatically.

The barren land was covered by lush meadows and surrounded by greenery.

Mu Yegui was slightly taken aback, seemingly surprised by the sudden appearance of the scenery before him.

The bright sun casts golden rays upon this fertile land. The white stone gate, exquisitely carved, stands before the fountain, surrounded by colorful roses in full bloom.

A ray of sunlight shone on the white archway, giving it a faint, holy glow.

Beautiful flowers bloom everywhere, filling the place with vibrant life.

The melodious chirping of birds reached my ears, seemingly singing a hymn to life.

Mu Yegui glanced down at the white dress she had been dressed in, which swayed gently in the breeze. Her long, soft, misty gray hair fell loosely behind her head, and her delicate, beautiful face showed no surprise, only calm.

Her cool, silver eyes were fixed on the scene before her, and she remained silent.

"Welcome to Eden." A very gentle voice came to my ears, like a light breeze and drizzle quietly entering my heart, or like soft sunlight shining on my heart, leaving only a warm ocean.

"Eden?" Mu Yegui asked, puzzled. She remembered that in ancient books, Eden was the first paradise created by God, and also the beginning of all evil.

She's not an angel, so she doesn't seem to have the right to be here.

"Having liberated tens of thousands of trapped beings, you are qualified to enter the Garden of Eden. You may choose any item here as a reward to take away—anything is fine, but you can only choose one. No."

The gentle voice carried a hint of laughter, as if the person was right next to your ear even though you couldn't see them.

With her bare, smooth feet on the green grass, she looked around and asked, "Can I take anything I fancy as a reward for completing the dungeon?"

"Yes, whether it's a colorful pebble on the ground, a beautifully blooming flower, a twig, a feather, or a bird, as long as it's meant to be with you, choose one to take home."

Mu Yegui nodded. She first walked past the beautiful fountain, her fingertips tracing the cold water. Passing through the delicate white archway, she felt the sacred warmth of the sunlight pouring down. She walked past what appeared to be bushes, observing the various blooming flowers.

"Every flower, every leaf, every blade of grass, and every tree here was transformed from a living being after death," the voice spoke again as Mu Yegui admired the Garden of Eden.

So that's how it is. Do the inhabitants of this world come here after they die? In other words, this is actually the world of the dead. No wonder it's called the first (last) paradise.

Suddenly, Mu Yegui paused slightly, slowly squatted down, and looked at the flower buds in front of him that had not yet bloomed. They looked out of place and very delicate against the backdrop of other extremely beautiful blooming flowers.

"Huh? When did this child appear?" The voice seemed surprised, as if it had only just realized that there was a flower that had not yet bloomed.

"Did it not exist before?" The cold, silver eyes stared intently at the delicate flower bud, their gaze deep and unfathomable.

The flower bud trembled slightly under Mu Yegui's intense gaze, which made the latter's lips curl into a smile.

"It's probably a creature that has just returned from the dead. It looks so young and fragile, unable to even bloom on its own. It's so pitiful," the voice said with heartache and pity.

"Is that so?" Mu Yegui replied casually, slowly stood up, and turned to leave.

"Wait! Aren't you going to choose it?" the voice asked, wondering why someone who had been curious at first had suddenly changed their mind.

“It’s too weak. Choosing it would probably be useless. We might as well choose something else.” Mu Yegui said, but his eyes glanced at the delicate flower bud, as if he was observing its reaction.

Upon hearing Mu Yegui say that, it seemed to know something and tried to stretch out its branches and leaves to tug at Mu Yegui's skirt, trying to stop her from leaving.

"This child clearly likes you so much," the voice said regretfully.

Mu Yegui placed his hands behind his back, bent down and looked down at it, a slight smile playing on his lips, and said softly, "It's too stupid. It can't even distinguish between enemies and allies. If we really take it out, it might get accidentally injured." "Then let's choose something else?" the voice asked.

“That’s true. After all, it can’t even bloom. It’s so weak. It looks useless…” Mu Yegui said slowly as he watched it 'gesturing wildly' in an attempt to prove itself.

As if realizing that Mu Yegui would not choose it, it became listless and drooped completely, as if it had lost all hope.

"However, there's an advantage to being stupid. It reminds me of some unambitious guy, someone you just want to bully. Let's choose it then. Anyway, the others aren't very useful, so I might as well choose this little fool. It'll entertain me a bit."

Mu Yegui's lips curled slightly, his tone as indifferent and calm as ever, but with a hint of mockery.

"Water it with your blood. If it's willing to go with you, it will accept your blood. Then just cut the stem and take it. The flowers here won't wither even if they're picked," the voice said gently.

Her cool, silver eyes were fixed on the jubilant flower buds. She reached out and placed her hand on one of them, her sharp nails easily slicing her wrist. The clear blood flowed down the wound and onto the flower buds, shimmering faintly with golden light in the sunlight.

The wound healed instantly, and the flower bud, after receiving Mu Yegui's blood, emitted a faint light and slowly bloomed. He casually cut off the flower stem and picked it.
