Chapter 432, 1.27-13: A Bouquet of Blessings

Mingxi looked at Mu Yegui's expressionless face and said with a slight twitch at the corner of her mouth, "You haven't forgotten, have you?"

Mu Yegui nodded honestly with a calm face.

Mingxi: "..." Honesty is worse than no honesty at this point.

No one dared to stand up the Crown Prince openly, except for the one in front of him, though of course, this person wasn't human and couldn't be counted.

Although Mu Yegui was surrounded by a crowd of people, it was as if she didn't have her own face; no matter how carefully she looked, she couldn't remember it.

The only people she could clearly see were Mingxi, the Crown Prince, and Nalan Xu.

However, she remembered the names of Mingxi and Nalan Xu, but forgot the name of the Crown Prince.

why?

"Go inside, I'll stay outside," Mingxi said to Mu Yegui with a light smile.

Mu Yegui nodded and glanced at the coffee shop sign.

A common holographic sign features a background of counter-clockwise rotating gears, seemingly representing something.

Her bare, rounded feet trod on the smooth floor as she walked towards the coffee shop. No one knew that beneath her feet, a worn-out gear subtly emerged, turning clockwise little by little.

The coffee cup made a crisp 'click' sound as it gently touched the table.

The crown prince slightly raised his eyes to look at the girl standing in front of him, his exquisite face showing no extra expression. Even though he had been stood up for two hours, his expression was only slightly cold, without the anger that others might have expected.

"Does Momo still remember me?" A cool, magnetic, and alluring voice came from behind, and a hint of darkness flashed in those emerald-green, clear and captivating eyes.

Mu Yegui shook his head and said softly, "It's so strange. I feel like something's not quite right, but I can't quite put my finger on what it is."

The prince wore a simple black shirt, leaving three buttons undone, revealing his sexy collarbone. He slowly stood up, looked down at Mu Yegui standing in front of him, and reached out to take her hand.

She pulled him out of the coffee shop.

"Huh? It's over?" Mingxi asked in surprise.

The Crown Prince glanced at Mingxi but didn't say anything. He simply took Mu Yegui's hand and got into the hovercar, their destination naturally being the palace.

The two sat in the hovercar without saying a word.

Mu Yegui gazed at the scenery outside the car window; it all felt both familiar and strange.

The prince looked down and flipped through the document board that had been placed in the hovercar, while typing something on the holographic screen.

Soon after, avatars appeared on the screen, suggesting a video conference was being held.

"Report." The Crown Prince looked down at the contents of the blank document in his hand and said coldly without looking up.

"Unfortunately, we still haven't found any trace of the Second Prince," one of the people on the screen said regretfully, shaking his head.

Mu Yegui was slightly taken aback. He looked for the Second Prince, who was always appearing in the news.

Does this mean that the Second Prince in the eyes of the people is not the real Second Prince?

"Your Highness, Shui Qi has betrayed you, leaking information to the Federation. He has been charged with treason. I wonder if you have ordered his arrest?"

Upon hearing Shui Qi's name, Mu Yegui looked up at the person speaking on the screen, but couldn't make out their face. "What's wrong?" Although the Crown Prince was looking down at the blank document in his hand, he easily noticed Mu Yegui's gaze when she turned to the holographic screen. He turned to look at her, his tone gentle, unlike his usual coldness towards others.

“Shui Qi has no reason to betray the country, does he?” Mu Yegui said. In her memory, although Shui Qi seemed to be easily deceived, he would never rashly cut off his own escape route, let alone be discovered so easily.

There was no benefit to him in betraying his country, and he had no reason to do so.

"Who's speaking?!" The person on the screen immediately rebuked upon hearing Mu Yegui's voice.

"Do you have a problem with that?" The Crown Prince raised his eyes and gave him a cold look, then asked.

That attitude made it clear that no one was allowed to blame Mu Yegui, even though he was still angry because he had just been stood up for two hours. But not just anyone could yell at him.

"I'm sorry, I was reckless," the man said, bowing his head in fear and trepidation.

"You said that Shui Qi betrayed the country. What evidence do you have that he did it?" Mu Yegui sat down in the direction of the Crown Prince, her entire face appearing on the screen. She stared at him and asked in a soft, sweet voice.

“All the evidence points to him, and there are witnesses.” The man frowned, reluctant to answer Mu Yegui, but had to do so out of respect for the Crown Prince.

"What kind of idiot would allow all the witnesses and evidence to point to him? Such obvious evidence is the biggest deception. Why didn't that witness betray the country and frame Shui Qi? After all, if Shui Qi really wanted to betray the country, he would have gone to great lengths to eliminate all his followers."

Mu Yegui remained calm and spoke his opinion in a low voice.

The man's face turned red with anger after being refuted by Mu Yegui.

"Rejected. Have the criminal investigation department reinvestigate. Next." The Crown Prince looked at him coldly and gave the order without hesitation.

“Your Highness, since we are secretly searching for the Second Prince, it is extremely difficult to secretly search for the missing Prince Tong under these circumstances. Perhaps Prince Tong is already dead?” another person said hesitantly.

"Tong?" Mu Yegui murmured.

Is it that Tong?
The news report stated that the second prince's name was Ji Ze, and the "Prince Tong" they were referring to was Ji Tong...

“Ji Qiu,” Mu Yegui suddenly said.

The moment the words were spoken, the holographic screen in front of them vanished.

Mu Yegui felt her shoulder being pressed down as she lay back in the hovercar seat. The Crown Prince held her shoulder with one hand, bending over and looking down at her.

"Finally remembered?" Those emerald-green, clear and captivating eyes quietly gazed at Mu Yegui. A gentle smile finally appeared on his face, but it also carried a hint of impending danger.

Mu Yegui nodded; she did indeed remember.

The Crown Prince of the Empire is named Ji Qiu. The Second Prince, who once went missing and was almost deposed, is named Ji Tong. The Second Prince who is now frequently involved in scandalous news is actually the Third Prince, Ji Ze.

But why would she forget?

Why did I forget?
Why did I suddenly remember it again?
Prince Song released Mu Yegui, turned to look out the window and said, "If there's anything else that hasn't been done, then go and do it."

This statement is strange, as if it implies that the speaker has already known something.

But what is it that she hasn't finished?

Whether it's true or not, the Crown Prince is still the Crown Prince, and he's incredibly intelligent. He noticed that something was wrong with Mu Yegui.
