Chapter 429, 1.27-10: A Bouquet of Blessings
Mu Yegui followed the boy through the courtyard and saw an extremely beautiful fountain.
The beautiful goddess held the vase behind her head, pouring out the water. The sound of water splashing filled the air. In the flower-filled courtyard, under the soft golden sunlight, it was a beautiful and healing scene.
The goddess is facing northwest, while the bottle opening is 60 degrees west of north, a difference of 30 degrees.
Mu Yegui paused slightly, seeing a fountain shaped like the zodiac sign for the first time.
There's a legend in a book of oddities in the Unbelievable Library that only a fountain shaped like the zodiac is the true location of the Papacy.
In other words, the Vatican here is not a fake, but a real entity.
The design of this fountain is undoubtedly based on the eleventh house of the zodiac, Aquarius, which emphasizes spiritual and cultural aspects. However, if the energy is overemphasized, it can lead to rebellion, fickleness, or excessive calmness to indifference.
"Do you think this is a fake Vatican?" A slightly familiar, low, husky voice came from beside me.
The boy lowered his head in fear and took a few steps back.
Mu Yegui turned her head slightly to look at the man who was slowly walking towards her, but did not say anything.
Dionysus...
"Curious to see me here?" He glanced at Mu Yegui with his narrow, gilded phoenix eyes, then walked toward the fountain with a golden goblet in his hand.
She bent slightly and scooped a glass of water from the fountain with a wine glass. A gentle breeze blew by, blowing streaks of her wine-red hair.
Flowers, water continuously poured from vases, goddesses, cups filled with water, high priests, flowing wind, and the sun.
This is all the scenery that Mu Yegui sees.
No, not quite...
Mu Yegui took a few steps forward, bypassed the bushes blocking his way, and saw a fruit tree in the corner of the courtyard, covered with bright red apples that looked like blood and had a bewitching color.
Her long, wavy, misty gray hair was loosely braided into three braids that hung down her back, with a red ribbon tied into a bow at the ends, the two colors remarkably similar at that moment.
“If I were you, I would never touch an apple that’s already on the tree,” Dionysus said slowly, glancing at the bone ring on Mu Yegui’s left index finger.
"Because of that legend?" Mu Yegui turned to look at Dionysus and asked.
"The legend of the serpent tempting Eve to eat the forbidden fruit..." Dionysus chuckled softly, "That's not what I'm talking about."
"What did you see?" he asked again.
Mu Yegui stared at him quietly without saying a word.
"Red apples, flowers, an overturned vase, a goddess, a cup full of water, a high priest, the sun?" Dionysus asked again when Mu Yegui remained silent.
Mu Yegui nodded.
Red apple: symbolizes primal desires and sin.
Flowers: The most beautiful life in full bloom.
The overturned vase and water: to stop the overflowing thirst for the spiritual realm.
Goddess: The direction of light.
A glass filled with water: the Holy Grail
High Priest: The leader.
The flowing wind: adrift, ethereal. The sun: the source of everything.
"Judging from your expression, you probably already know what's going to happen next, so let's begin." Dionysus glanced at Mu Yegui, who had remained calm throughout, and said slowly.
Mu Yegui followed, offering no resistance whatsoever.
Because the view she saw already told her what was going to happen.
Not all interpretations are static, but the intuitive interpretation after seeing the scenery is indeed the most accurate, so accurate that it's impossible to ignore it.
She followed Dionysus into a pure white room with a huge magic circle drawn on the floor, and let them dress her in a white robe.
In the center of the magic circle was an altar, upon which rested a bewitching red apple, its color a deeper shade than the one she had seen in the courtyard.
She was pushed toward the magic circle, and the moment she stepped in, she suddenly realized that she seemed to have entered a huge misconception.
I thought the apple Adele gave her would be an important prop, but it turned out to be just a symbolic gesture.
If the red apple is likened to the source of evil—the devil tempting angels to fall—then the golden apple should be interpreted in reverse; gold symbolizes sunlight, light, and purity.
The golden apple represents the joy of guiding light, while the red apple represents the tragedy of darkness and unpredictability.
The red apple on the altar foreshadowed a tragic future...
When Mu Yegui was only one step away from the altar, he suddenly stopped.
Dionysus glanced at Mu Yegui and asked in a deep, intoxicating voice as rich as red wine, "What's wrong?"
"I admit defeat. You tricked me." Mu Yegui's tone remained calm, without the slightest hint of emotion.
"Is that so? That's rare. It's the first time I've heard you admit defeat." Dionysus raised an eyebrow slightly, his long, narrow, golden phoenix eyes filled with gloom and indifference. His speech was extremely slow, yet it was full of sarcasm.
"After all, I didn't expect Laziness to use Adele's hints to make reverse predictions. From the beginning, you were guiding me into this instance, but unfortunately, I still can't piece together your purpose from the scattered information. It's no wonder you lost."
Even now, she doesn't know what their purpose is, and they wouldn't be foolish enough to reveal it themselves.
"The purpose..." Dionysus turned his head to look at the beautiful stained glass.
Mu Yegui followed his gaze and saw this scene:
The king, seated on his throne, held a scepter symbolizing power, with a banner painted with an eagle beside him. He gazed at the castle atop a majestic mountain in the distance, above which a golden sun shone in the sky reflecting the sunset.
"May your wishes come true," Mu Yegui said softly as he sat down on the altar.
Her cool, silver eyes glanced at the blood-red apple beside her, then she casually picked it up and smashed it against the window.
With a loud crash, the stained glass shattered, shattering the king's body. The red apple was riddled with shards of glass, not a single part of it intact.
Mu Yegui, the culprit, paid little attention to it and slowly lay down.
"Wait!" A voice filled with fear and terror came from afar.
Her cool, silver eyes stared at the silver-haired youth who had suddenly barged in. Her pink lips moved slightly, but she said nothing.
Her curled, misty gray eyelashes fluttered as she slowly closed her beautiful silver eyes.
The noise gradually subsided, leaving only silence and unpredictable darkness...
Finally, they all disappeared.
I spent several hours writing this chapter. There's so much information in it. Every detail has its own metaphor, including the characters' actions and dialogue.
I wish you success in solving all the riddles; be sure to ponder them carefully.
