Chapter 415, Section 126: Eavesdropping

Chapter 415, Section 1.26: Eavesdropping
This is a private study filled with books everywhere. Tang Xiuna is tidying up the heavy books scattered on the desk.

His beautiful, slightly long, dark purple hair was loosely tied back with a simple dark green hairband. Strands of hair drooped across his smooth, full forehead, looking somewhat messy, but this only made his handsome face stand out even more.

His long, slender, fair fingers gently traced the yellowed paper, his dark purple eyes fixed on the book in his hands, and the pale green earring hanging from his left ear swayed gently with his movements, faintly shimmering with a dim light.

A soft 'click' sounded in my ear as the doorknob turned gently.

He paused for a moment, then looked up at the doorway.

"Did I disturb you?" A low, husky voice, as mellow as fine wine, slowly rose in the silence.

The person, dressed in a white ceremonial robe, stood at the doorway, seemingly radiating a holy light.

Tang Xiuna wore a faint smile, giving off a gentle feeling that he would never get angry no matter what happened. He asked softly, "Aren't you afraid of being discovered by someone if you suddenly come here?"

"What does it have to do with me, a mere messenger, that you discovered is a private matter between you and Sloth?" Dionysus said slowly.

Tang Xiuna chuckled softly, then casually closed the book and placed it aside.

"Come in, what kind of tea would you like?" Tang Xiuna stood up and walked to the cabinet to get the tea set, asking as he selected the tea.

As Dionysus closed the door, he glanced briefly into the corridor with his long, narrow, golden phoenix eyes before shutting it completely. He strode to the two-seater sofa, sat down, and said without any hesitation, "Wine."

Tang Xiuna paused slightly as he picked out the tea leaves. He turned to Dionysus with a light smile and said carefully, word by word, "I only have tea leaves here, no wine."

“That’s a real shame,” Dionysus said casually, shrugging.

Outside.

A young girl in a light pink court dress with puff sleeves walked towards them from a distance. Her long golden hair was styled into an extremely beautiful updo and decorated with simple pink flowers.

As she passed by the door, she suddenly paused, her deep blue eyes, as deep as the ocean, fixed on it. She moved a few steps to the side, leaned against the wall, and peered into the door, listening intently to the conversation inside.

The skill with which he did it clearly indicated that he had been eavesdropping more than once or twice.

However, her elegant demeanor, coupled with an undeniable air of nobility and an overly composed expression, made it hard to believe that she was actually eavesdropping.

"The Arrogant Duke is in the Fairy Tale Kingdom." Dionysus's low, slightly lazy voice slowly drifted in from inside the door. Qin blinked, a dark glint flashing in her eyes.

Why did the Arrogant Duke appear in the fairy tale kingdom, while Dionysus knew about it even before they did?

"Didn't you say that lord would never leave the royal castle without permission?" Tang Xiuna paused slightly in his teacup, his beautiful dark purple eyes filled with a thoughtful look. He looked down at the blue cup and saucer and skillfully poured in the freshly brewed black tea.

"It's just for external use. If he wants to come out, no one can stop him. After all, he's not bound to stay in the capital city, nor is he as lazy as someone who doesn't want to go out," Dionysus said slowly, deliberately concealing the real reason for his trip.

“That’s true, I was just overthinking it.” Tang Shuna smiled gently and placed the blue teacup in front of Dionysus. “But, knowing that the Arrogant Duke is in the Fairy Tale Kingdom, you still came to the castle so openly. Did you think that the Duke didn’t discover it quickly enough, or that the Duke wasn’t smart enough to not notice?” Tang Shuna’s words were still gentle, but they carried a hint of probing and sarcasm.

His dark purple eyes were fixed on the reddish-brown tea in the teacup. He didn't look at Dionysus on the opposite sofa, but casually picked up the teacup and took a small sip of the black tea.

Dionysus glanced at Tang Shuna, his long, narrow, golden phoenix eyes filled with an unfathomable emotion. He leaned back lazily on the soft sofa, his drunken slump making him say nonchalantly, "He won't come to the castle."

"Hmm? Why are you so sure?" Tang Xiuna raised an eyebrow and chuckled.

"Arrogance will never admit its mistakes. It was a mistake to pick up Fish and then raise him badly because it didn't take care of him. Arrogance will never admit that. So wherever Fish is, he will never show up."

Dionysus subconsciously picked up the teacup, lowered his head to smell the mellow black tea, frowned slightly, and showed a hint of disdain in his expression. He then casually put it back.

Tang Shuna looked at Dionysus's utterly disdainful attitude, a large cross appearing on his forehead. He chuckled gently, but his tone was dangerously sharp, "What? Even the best black tea can't satisfy you?"

"Forget it, I'd rather drink wine than tea; I'm allergic to it," Dionysus said, turning his head to the side and slowly opening his eyes as he lied.

"You're really something," Tang Xiuna said with a light, enigmatic laugh.

Qin Wei, who was eavesdropping outside the door, frowned. These two were talking too long and hadn't gotten to the point. It was all just irrelevant nonsense.

Koya, who was passing by around the corner in the distance, happened to see her lover sneaking around on a door, seemingly eavesdropping on something.

Koya's lips twitched slightly. She felt it was necessary to take the zither back. She was getting bolder and bolder, even daring to eavesdrop on the administrator's conversation.

Just as she slowly approached from behind, intending to put her hand on Qin's shoulder to startle her, Qin suddenly turned around, startling her.

She instinctively wanted to scream, but then she felt someone lean closer to her, extending a long, slender, white finger to gently touch her pink lips, stopping her from shouting.

The two were so close they could feel each other's warm breath. Her light green eyes involuntarily met those deep, ocean-like blue eyes, and for a moment, as if bewitched, Koya's face flushed slightly, her mind went blank, and she forgot what she had been about to do.

Qin's fingertips traced her chin, then slowly landed on her cheek.

The two heads slowly approached each other. Ke Ya looked at those alluring, soft pink lips, slowly closed her eyes, and lowered her head following Qin's movements.

The atmosphere gradually became ambiguous, filled with pink bubbles...

Suddenly, the tightly closed door opened, and Tang Xiuna's gentle yet slightly teasing voice rang out, "Have you two started flirting so brazenly that you've come to my office doorstep?"

I inexplicably sensed a sense of danger.
