Chapter 403, 1.25, 26: The Rabbit Duke's Crazy Tea Party
"Hmm? Foolish." The cool voice carried an undeniable arrogance.
Her beautiful, misty white hair cascaded freely down her back, but her stunning face remained expressionless, like an ice block on an ancient, unmelting snow-capped mountain, filled with indifference, aloofness, and arrogance that made her disregard everyone.
His hands, gloved in white, rested casually on his chin with his left hand, the faint glow of a deep purple ring on his middle finger visible. His right hand held a beautiful white porcelain cup, the red liquid within shimmering and reflecting his arrogant expression.
The white rabbit sitting next to him held the teacup in its two furry paws, its three-lobed mouth agape in a daze. It chuckled dryly and said, "What are you talking about, Your Majesty Sher? I just find it amusing. Isn't it funny to see those toys being toyed with and struggling to survive?"
"A toy?" Sher chuckled, his white-gloved hand gently setting down the white porcelain cup with a crisp sound.
His arrogant expression disregarded everyone present, like a king on a high throne.
Meyas laughed loudly, his words growing increasingly audacious, "Isn't it true? These lowly outsiders dare to dream of ruling our world and becoming our kings? It's utterly laughable. They deserve only to grovel at our feet..."
However, before she could finish speaking, a hand suddenly grabbed her fragile neck tightly, and her ruby-like eyes stared in disbelief at those cold, emotionless, light gold vertical pupils.
"What are you saying? Mayas, say it again?" Shel's lips curled slightly, his cool voice filled with danger, even though it sounded like a simple chat.
His cold, pale gold vertical pupils were devoid of any emotion, as if he were looking at worthless trash.
"Uh..." The furry claws flailed in the air, trying to grab Sher's wrist, attempting to make him put down his murderous intent.
“I…” Meyas wanted to explain something, but could only manage to utter one word.
Sher asked in a low voice, "Are you implying that my beloved is also a lowly outsider?"
"His Majesty……"
"Kill you, huh?" Sher's face revealed a faint smile, different from his usual smile in front of Mu Yegui. It was full of danger and killing intent, as if he would really kill Meas in the next second.
Mayas felt the grip on his neck loosen slightly, and he quickly changed his words, saying, "I'm sorry, it was my fault, I shouldn't have made such a hasty judgment."
Sher snorted and casually released Meyas.
Meyas exaggeratedly stroked his vulnerable neck with his furry paws, as if he had really been killed.
“However, you’re not wrong either. There shouldn’t be anyone else but my darling.” Sher took an elegant sip of his black tea and said arrogantly.
"Then!" Meas's expression became extremely joyful and excited. Just one word was enough to show his eagerness. He slapped his two furry paws on the table and exclaimed excitedly.
"Stupid rabbit, do whatever you want," Sher said coldly.
"Great! I'll give the order right away!" Mayas clapped his hands happily, jumped off the chair, and ran towards the door.
Shel: "..."
A man reeking of alcohol was fast asleep, slumped over the table, completely unaware of what had just happened.
As Mayas ran to the door and was about to open it, his long ears twitched slightly, and he heard a "whoosh zzzzz..." sound.
He turned and kicked someone who was sleeping, yelling, "Don't you dare sleep during afternoon tea! You bastard!" After being kicked and flying straight into the wall, Dionysus slowly opened his eyes, rubbed his long, narrow, golden phoenix eyes, and said sleepily, "What are you doing? That hurts."
"What an idiot I was to invite a drunkard for tea!" Meyas said angrily, scratching and rubbing his long, furry ears.
Dionysus slowly got up, rubbing his already messy wine-red hair with one hand, and said slowly, "Are you possessed by the wrathful lord? Don't lay a hand on me, a logistics worker of the Unbelievable Kingdom! What if you break a bone? You'll have to pay for my medical expenses and also my emotional distress..."
"Isn't the Holy Grail hanging on your waist? Can't you just drink some to heal your broken bone?" Meyas asked, frowning deeply.
"The Holy Grail? What are you talking about? It's just a cup for holding wine." Dionysus bent down, picked up the chair that had fallen to the ground, and sat down, completely unconcerned.
“I haven’t created any new Crown Prince props here,” Meyas said coldly.
Sher listened to the two arguing, sitting elegantly in the main seat and drinking tea, seemingly completely unconcerned. Even when he heard the word "Holy Grail" from Mayas, he didn't care at all, remaining calm and composed as if he had known all along.
"So?" Dionysus yawned slowly and said lazily.
"Joan didn't create any new Crown Prince props, so why did my tea party suddenly turn into a Crown Prince replica?" Mayas countered.
"You used me." Dionysus's expression remained unchanged, but his tone became colder.
“You just happened to stumble upon this place and took over the item supply for the Crown Prince's instance. It’s not my fault, after all, I didn’t invite you to my tea party, you just showed up uninvited,” Meas said slowly.
“What do you want to say?” Dionysus asked.
Mayas chuckled and said, "Help me complete this dungeon. Hunt down all the humans here and kill them all. How about it? You've already been forced into this anyway. The Holy Grail you've guarded for so long is about to be given away as an item. You might as well kill them all so the item won't be given away."
"Why should I listen to you? Even Your Majesty cannot command me, let alone you?" Dionysus took off the golden goblet from his waist, which was filled with a thick, blood-red liquid. He took a small sip, looking completely intoxicated.
The situation was at a stalemate, with neither side willing to give in.
Meyas is a duke, but according to the ranking of the dungeon's owners, Dionysus is far above him. It's hard to say for sure who has a higher status, not to mention that Dionysus is actually a confidant of the lazy prince.
"Little Wine, kill those humans," Sher casually ordered, resting his chin on his hand.
“I understand. Since it is His Majesty’s order, I have no right to refuse. However, I have heard that there is a very special wine in the capital city. I wonder if His Majesty would be willing to bestow some upon me?” Dionysus bargained.
"Whatever." He glanced at Dionysus with his cold, pale gold vertical pupils, as if looking at a fool, and snorted arrogantly.
"I'll take care of it right away!" Dionysus downed the glass of red wine in one gulp, stood up abruptly, grabbed Meyas's long ears, and dragged him toward the door.
"Let me go! You bastard!" Meas flailed his limbs in the air, cursing incessantly.
Shel: "..."
This is Sher as an arrogant figure.
