Chapter 13 1.1 King’s City (Additional update)

Welcome to King's City. To select your nationality, please proceed to Street 8.

King's City, the central city of King's Game, is also the only city that does not belong to any one country. It encompasses the cultures of all six countries and is rightfully called the number one city.

Violence is not allowed in the Royal City. Everyone must get along well with each other. Violators will be taken away and executed by the guards. This is the only rule in the Royal City.

The city of the king has a total of nine streets, starting from the central fountain and extending outwards from it.

There are no buildings on First Street, but in the far distance you can see an extremely magnificent castle.

Second Street leads to the Fairy Tale Kingdom, and the surrounding shops sell all kinds of items related to the Fairy Tale Kingdom, such as dolls, tea sets, princess dresses, and a series of extravagant things that symbolize beauty.

Third Street leads to the Kingdom of Food, a street filled with the aroma of delicious food, which can be easily smelled even from the fountain.

Fourth Street leads to the entertainment kingdom. If the architecture of Second Street is retro and complicated, then the architecture of Fourth Street is simple and modern, with towering buildings, various variety shows playing on big screens, and beautiful evening gowns displayed in glass windows.

Fifth Street leads to the Kingdom of the Unbelievable. The sky darkens instantly upon entering Fifth Street, but returns to daylight upon exiting. Various glowing plants grow around, and fluorescent lights shimmer in the air—beautiful yet utterly incredible.

Sixth Street leads to the Kingdom of Truth, and gears, machinery, steam, and carriages are its most prominent architectural features. The shops sell all sorts of detective books, case studies, and golden pipes.

Route 7 leads to the Kingdom of Sin. The streets are desolate and dilapidated, filled with the mournful cries of crows. Only tattered black cloth sways in the wind. The buildings are badly damaged, but no one stops.

Eighth Street is very short. At the entrance, there is a banner and a sign that reads "King's Game: Six Kingdoms Seeking Private Players." There are only six buildings corresponding to each kingdom.

Road Nine was completely dark, and the sign at the entrance had a large red cross, seemingly prohibiting entry.

In the King's City fountain instance, there were several hundred players coming and going from the beginner instance. Some looked grief-stricken and numb, some were overjoyed, and some were actively striking up conversations as if inviting others to do something.

The moment Mu Yegui exited the instance, he felt a tremendous force pushing him forward, causing him to stumble and fall several steps. Instead of falling to the ground as expected, he was stopped by something hard, like a wall, and at the same time, an indescribable fragrance wafted into his nostrils.

She glanced up slightly and saw a terrifying black mask. A rare look of surprise flickered in his usually cold silver eyes. She steadied herself, looked him up and down for a second, then nodded and said, "Thank you."

The person wore a strangely styled light blue long gown, with a brownish-red cloth strip tied around the waist, seemingly a belt, from which hung a strangely shaped blood jade engraved with the character 'Tong'. The gown had five or six gold frog buttons that added a touch of luxury and intricacy to the light blue color, with cloud patterns embroidered in the dark, and clusters of gold "Manjianghong" embroidered on the hem, exuding both nobility and splendor.

A dark, long cloak hung casually over his shoulders, swaying gently in the wind, adding a touch of nonchalance and languor to his appearance.

The subtle blend of nobility and domineering arrogance and casualness that he exudes seems like two extremes, yet they are remarkably harmonious in him.

His long, dark red hair was tied into three braids that cascaded down his shoulders, each end adorned with a gold hair clip. A terrifying black mask concealed his face, also shielding him from further scrutiny.

His presence was domineering and intense, making it impossible to ignore him, yet the mask made people involuntarily withdraw their gaze, too afraid to look at him.

Mu Yegui's pink lips moved slightly as she smelled the aroma of food. It was a unique scent she had never detected outside, not even from the insectoid race, and it held an irresistible attraction for her. Especially now, as she was starving, she almost lunged forward to bite. Fortunately, it was the exceptionally determined Mu Yegui present; if it had been Mu Yin, he probably would have already started eating without a second thought. The man took a few steps back, about to leave, when he heard Mu Yegui's soft, sweet voice, "You smell wonderful."

For a moment, he paused slightly, then quickened his pace.

Mu Yegui watched his departing figure, tilted her head in confusion, and murmured softly, "I didn't say anything strange."

After the person who had been drawing her attention left, she turned her gaze to the enormous fountain in front of her, with a white sculpture at its center.

A young man wearing a crown leaped high on a white horse, holding the reins in one hand and pointing a sword at the sky in the other. A ragged child lay crouching against the corner of the wall, his hands covering his head. Beside the child was a panicked mother who tried to rush to embrace her child but was held back by three other villagers.

The sculpture is quite strange, seemingly containing some incomprehensible meaning.

"Hello, are you a player who has completed the beginner dungeon? I sincerely invite you to join our organization and work together to crack this game." A young man's voice came from beside me.

Mu Yegui finally stopped daydreaming and turned her gaze to him. She nodded, then shook her head. The nod indicated that she was a player who had completed the beginner dungeon, while the shake of her head meant that she was declining his invitation.

The young man seemed to understand Mu Yegui's words strangely, and his expression stiffened slightly. He continued, "My name is Shui Qi, and our leader is called Horus. He passed the beginner dungeon in the shortest time and is very strong. If you are willing to join, we will provide you with all kinds of clues about the King's Game free of charge."

"Thank you, but no need." Mu Yegui shook her head. As a solitary creature, she found it difficult to have any thoughts of gathering with other people. Being alone was the most comfortable thing for her, and being with other people would only restrict her a lot.

For a moment, the surroundings fell silent. Shui Qi realized he had messed up and quickly covered his mouth. The reason he invited Mu Yegui was because he saw that Mu Yegui's white cloak was spotless and thought he was a very powerful player.

Although Mu Yegui gave the impression of being delicate and easily pushed over, Shui Qi was the only one who wasn't deceived by her facade from beginning to end. His intuition told him that this person was very strong, so he wanted to keep her around.

He accidentally shouted out a secret, which led to a group of people surrounding him and asking him all sorts of questions. He could only watch helplessly as Mu Yegui's figure walked further and further away.

Shui Qi's face darkened instantly. Who the hell wanted to invite you guys? Your clothes are so tattered, you can tell you're cannon fodder. He only wanted to invite skilled players! At the very least, players who hadn't come out of the beginner dungeon looking too pathetic!
Let me be frank, he's the male lead, and I absolutely love the character "Tong" in his name. I won't tell you that I made him the male lead because I love his name.

I love the color combination of red and green; it's simply divine. These are colors of nature. After all, there's a saying that goes, "Red flowers with green leaves," and most plants are red and green together. Does that mean they're ugly?
The male protagonist is not the Crown Prince Qiu from the previous installment. After all, unless one is blinded by love, it is absolutely impossible for the Crown Prince of an interstellar empire to abandon the empire to search for someone, especially when he knows that Mu Yegui will be alright.

The Mu Ye Gui series actually has two volumes. The male protagonist of the second volume is Prince Qiu. Because the two volumes are completely different in type, I can only write them in two books. The second volume is pure interstellar.

Oh right, this book actually has two male protagonists, but after thinking about it, I decided to make Mu Yin the male protagonist; I feel it's more interesting that way~


