Chapter 86 Remarks on the launch
Chapter 86 Remarks on the launch
I suddenly received a notification from the editor that it will be available for purchase tomorrow, probably around noon.
The editor said they need to write a message about the book's release, so I'll take up a little of your time. Thank you in advance!
First, regarding product listing.
To be honest, I was a bit stunned. The release came so suddenly, I wasn't prepared at all, and I didn't have any drafts saved up. I thought it would be a long time before it was released. o(╥﹏╥)o
But the book will be published soon, so I have to hurry up and finish the manuscript, and try to write 4 chapters tomorrow!
The second point is about updates.
Actually, Lao Mao's typing speed isn't slow; he can write a thousand words in an hour! It's just that researching takes a lot of time. Sometimes, even just a few keywords from a conversation require a long time to find the information.
This was after I had collected a lot of reference books and some memoirs from that year before I even started writing the book. There were probably hundreds of thousands of words of information and hundreds of pictures. I did a lot of preparation work, otherwise it would have been even slower.
After all, historical fiction is all about realism, and too many errors and omissions can significantly impact the reading experience.
So here comes the third point, about the content.
While researching, I discovered an interesting fact: back then, some things were consistent across the country, but in different places, the situation could be completely opposite.
In some places, killing cattle is prohibited, while in others, there is a custom of eating beef. In addition to the fact that the communes' draft cattle cannot be slaughtered, beef cattle are specially raised, and some draft cattle that have died of old age or disease are also sold.
For example, the school system was quite inconsistent back then. Primary school could last five or six years, and even four years. Junior and senior high school were mainly two years, but three-year programs were also retained in many places.
Not to mention customs and food, even political management varies in its strictness. In some areas of the south where clan power has been well preserved, they are still in a stage of self-management.
It's very different.
So if any readers find anything questionable, please don't rush to refute it. I will try my best to provide reasonable explanations and strive to be as close to the truth as possible.
Finally, thank you.
Thanks to editor Qilin Ju, though he may not see this.
Thank you to all my readers for your continued support, and most importantly, for your encouragement.
I hope you'll continue to support me and this book after it's published.
Thanks! ! !
Finally, please subscribe! ()
