Chapter 715: Wesker’s Purpose?

To be honest, Li You has a very high opinion of the two apocalyptic works in the Resident Evil series.

From a plot perspective, both works can be considered outstanding. The mystery of the three Queen ships in Revelation 1 left a deep impression on him, and the multi-perspective main line of Revelation 2 and the story unfolding from different character perspectives also touched him.

The original plot begins with a party at Trasever. Moira, the 20-year-old daughter of Chris and Jill's old comrade Barry, finally joins Trasever as she wished.

Moira is Barry's second daughter. Due to the large age gap between father and daughter, and the fact that Barry is not often at home and has a rather rough personality, the relationship between father and daughter has always been not very good. However, she is very close to Claire.

She wanted to join Trasever out of rebellion against her father, and she finally got her wish in 2011 of the original work.

Then, with the help of the traitor Neil, Trasever was captured by Alex's people and taken to Sabiti Island to become her experimental subjects.

In the gloomy experimental base on this island, key members such as Gina Foley, Pedro, Gabriel, etc., all died here. Even Claire, who was with Moira, was in danger.

During the process, Claire and Moira met a key figure, the little girl Natalia, who was one of the survivors of the Terragrigia Panic and an orphan rescued by Trasever and brought to the island.

On the island, Claire also discovered Neil Fisher's betrayal.

Neil made a deal with Alex and wanted to get the Ouroboros virus from her. However, after completing the deal, Alex directly injected the Ouroboros into Neil, and he mutated and became the final boss of the Claire chapter.

With Moira's help at the critical moment, Claire defeated him, but in the process of escaping with Moira, Moira was trapped by the collapsed building, and in the end only Claire was able to escape.

Later, Claire, who was rescued from the sea, was admitted directly to the hospital. Barry, who got the news, spent six months searching all the way to Sabiti Island in an attempt to rescue his daughter.

The enemy he faced this time was Alex, or rather Alex's real self.

In the previous Claire chapter, Alex copied his consciousness into Natalia's body and then shot himself.

But her body was revived under the influence of the T-fear virus, causing the body that should have died to still survive and become the BOSS of the Barry chapter.

As for the final ending... Barry and Natalia encountered Alex. Even Barry, who was known as the Magnum God of War, found it difficult to deal with Alex, who was infected with the T-Fear Virus and the Ouroboros Virus. At the critical moment, Moira, who had survived on the island for six months, and Claire, who had recovered, arrived one after another. With the joint efforts of everyone, they solved the problem of Alex's real body, and Barry took Moira and Natalia back home.

Except that Alex's consciousness is already dormant in Natalia's body, and will awaken one day.

This is the general plot of Revelation 2.

In the supplementary content, there is more information about how Moira survived on the island for so long. She was able to survive for half a year with the help of an old island resident who had a stubborn personality and always disliked Alex.

The old man Yevgeny actually stayed on the island to find his daughter. He was not easy to get along with and was seriously ill. He fought the mutants alone just to find his daughter who was deceived by Alex.

In the process of getting along with him, Moira understood her father from a different perspective than before, just as Barry learned more about how to be a father when he got along with Natalia.

In the end, although the lonely old man Yevgeny chose to give up after learning the bad news about his daughter, his encouragement and help still gave Moira the courage to hold on to the end.

In Li You's opinion, the story of Revelation 2 is more exciting than 1. Of course, it also has some shortcomings, but it is already very excellent in the Resident Evil series.

There are even different endings for this game. Moira actually had a psychological trauma to guns because she accidentally injured her sister when she was playing with a gun. If she could overcome her fear and pick up the gun to save Claire when Claire needed help in the chapter, then there would be a good ending in the end.

And if Moira can't do it, then Claire... Claire will be fine, she can pick up the gun and kill Neil herself.

After all, she is just an ordinary female college student.

But Claire will be fine, but Moira will die in the subsequent building collapse. When Barry arrives on the island, because Moira is dead, there is no one to support him. At the critical moment, Alex's personality in Natalia awakens early, completely takes over her body, kills her original body, and then leaves alone.

This is the bad ending.

There is no real happy ending, but Alex finally gets the last laugh.

Of course, that’s the story of the original work, and Alex hasn’t appeared in the original universe to cause trouble since then. Maybe Capcom has already forgotten about her...

As for this world?

——The headquarters of the secret department of Trasever.

Li You was looking at all the information that Aggie had obtained from Alex's mind.

"…It's you, Wesker."

All speculations were confirmed at this time.

Albert Wesker, one of the biggest villains in the Resident Evil series until the fifth film, and a key figure in promoting major Resident Evil events, has been confirmed through Alex's memory that he is still alive.

According to Alex's memory, just a few months ago, Albert suddenly found her and offered her cooperation.

Albert provided her with a lot of resources, including the Type III Plaka developed by Tri-Union, and a lot of important intelligence. In exchange, Wesker asked for nothing else but the consciousness replication technology of Stewart's team, which was not fully developed at the time.

Although Wesker never revealed what he wanted to do specifically, because the technology was in the hands of Stewart's team, the cooperation between the two parties finally ended with Wesker completing the consciousness transfer on Sabiti Island.

Wesker made an incomplete copy of his own personality, consciousness, and memory and placed it in a clone prepared in advance. He instructed Stewart to delete the key memories of a certain period - because Stewart's team was unable to accurately delete specific memories.

The clone that was born was immediately taken away by Wesker. Needless to say, that should be the "Wesker" who died suddenly at the hands of Li You later.

Perhaps it was because of the deletion of certain periods of memory that Wesker behaved very strangely in some details. He did not recognize Jack at all, nor did he remember Mueller. He also had no deep impression that Chris had beaten him a long time ago. And because of this, the cloned Wesker aroused the suspicion of Chris, who might be one of the people who knew him best. Chris's reminder also made Li You stay alert.

Until now, all of this has been confirmed.

Li You exhaled and withdrew from Alex's memory.

Let’s not talk about Wesker for now. At least Alex has been wiped out now. She is also one of the biggest remnants of Umbrella and a latent unstable factor in the original work. It would be good to be able to eliminate her in advance.

However, in this way, the gains of the protagonists in the original plot were also wiped out.

In the original plot, Natalia developed a special psychological illness due to her past experience in the floating island incident, so she resisted the T-fear virus and perfectly integrated with it, and she can be regarded as a poison generation. But after all, she has Alex's consciousness living in her body, which is completely a time bomb.

But besides her, Claire and Moira were also infected with the T-fear virus - all the Trasever personnel who were captured on the island at that time were injected.

As mentioned before, Moira, because she overcame her psychological trauma and successfully controlled the T-fear virus, is at the same level as Natalia. Maybe in the screenwriter's imagination, there will be more stories between the two of them.

As for the other infected person, Claire, all we can say is... it's the same whether she is infected or not.

There was no description of her "overcoming fear" throughout the whole process, and of course there was no plot where her mind was occupied by fear. In short, our female college student seemed to be uninfected, and she killed her way through with the T-fear virus, and after it was over, she seemed to be fine and went about her business.

Thinking of this, Li You couldn't help but glance at Claire who was sitting on the other side of the lounge flipping through documents.

Claire noticed his action: "?"

"what happened?"

"No, nothing." Li You shook his head.

The players' view on this was: "Is the Queen of Arms kidding you? Do you think I'm afraid?"

And since there is no fear in the heart at all, there is naturally no such thing as overcoming fear or being overcome by fear. It makes sense that Claire was infected with the T-fear virus and acted as if nothing had happened... probably.

So did Claire in the original work benefit from the enhanced effect of the T-Fear Virus for free, or did nothing really happen? Li You didn't know.

In short, skipping the plot of Revelation 2 did cause the secret department to lose two or even three potential first-generation poison masters, but Li You didn't care about this.

The T-fear virus, which probably has no special features except for prolonging life, is really not worth his attention. Besides, all the research results of Stewart's team were brought back together, and the T-fear virus has been successfully obtained and now has become one of the samples of the secret department.

However, the original plot helped resolve the rift between Barry and his daughter, and it would be a real loss if we missed this.

But it’s not that Li You doesn’t want to give Barry and his daughter this opportunity. The main reason is that the conditions for triggering the main plot of Revelation 2 have long disappeared... Besides, Moira is only 17 years old this year. He can’t possibly let Claire take Moira to this island, saying it’s a vacation, to force the start of the plot of Revelation 2, right?

So Revelation 2 ends here. The system did recognize Li You’s strategy results, but naturally, the mission rewards became very stingy.

We'll talk about this later. The main issue at the moment is the news confirmed from Alex.

——Wesker is still alive and has completely broken away from the constraints of the original plot. Now even Li You doesn’t know where he is hiding or what he is planning.

This is undoubtedly the biggest threat.

Li You doesn't think Wesker will give up his plan to become a god, and he obviously won't give up his plan to "screen humans". The mysterious man who reminded Radames is Wesker, which shows that he is probably also planning to cause chaos in the world.

In fact, logically speaking, if Wesker wanted to go with the flow, then helping Radames before would have been a good choice, but he only reminded him at the critical moment and nothing more happened. The subsequent ship incidents were all caused by Alex by accident.

It can be seen that Wesker still remembered the lessons of the past and had no intention of confronting Li You head-on... This was also consistent with Li You's understanding of him. And Radames was obviously just a bait that he pushed casually.

"…Then the question is, what exactly is Wesker planning, to the point that the Blacklight Parasite in the hands of his clone and Radames' Eden Project have become his pawns to attract attention?"

Li You really couldn't think of an answer.

As mentioned before, in his opinion, the black light parasite is already the pinnacle of biochemical infection. Unless he begins to dabble in metaphysics like mold and fungus masters, Li You estimates that he will not be able to research new viruses or parasites that can completely surpass this thing.

Even if it is the three-member R&D team in the secret department, the most they can do is to give the Blacklight Parasite some additional enhancements and upgrades.

It can be said that Sk could give up the black light parasite without hesitation?
If that is the case, then it is conceivable that he must have obtained, or at least seen, something somewhere else that could surpass the power of the blacklight parasite?
But does that kind of thing really exist in the biochemical world?

Li You tried to sort out Wesker's thoughts based on his own understanding of him.

First of all, because of the targeting by Li You and Kara, Wesker in this world has much fewer chips in his hands than in the original work, so even if he infiltrates the Tri-Union Corporation, he still needs to cooperate with his family to have enough resources to develop the virus.

However, it seems that in the battle between the family and Wesker, old Wesker is still more skilled. Even Simmons and Radames were fooled by him and became his bait.

On this basis, Wesker gave up the Blacklight Parasite and its derivative Eden series, faked his own death and escaped into the dark, presumably still planning to become the Kami of the new world.

So how is his mentality now different from the original? He obviously regards Li You as the biggest obstacle. What methods will he come up with to fight against Li You and his group's ability to completely surpass this world?

Li You's mind moved, and he thought of a possibility: "Could it be that he wants to try... magic?"
