In the restaurant's lounge, Officer Hagiwara, sitting across the table from waitress Ms. Aishima, received a coffee from her boyfriend, Mr. Date, while Officer Fujiwara prepared to take notes.

"This pudding is a new item that will be added to the menu next month. The store manager has basically finalized it. However, the three of them just happened to say that they wanted to eat at the restaurant where I work today, so I suggested that they try it."

"But why let your friends try it? Is it to give them a special service?"

Without even looking up, Officer Hagiwara could already sense that the guy was mocking her through Fujiwara's rapid breathing.
