"Traveling is fine, but we should at least go to safe countries, like the UK or France. I've been there before, and they were great."

"By the way, speaking of travel, honey, you have no idea how many offers you received during your two-week vacation."

"You'd better be mentally prepared. For the next month, I estimate you'll be so tired that you won't even be able to eat."

Jiang Ruan blinked, her dark eyes filled with surprise: "Is it that scary?"

Sister Qin nodded: "Mm."

She got up and fetched a stack of contracts and a form: "This is your schedule for the next month and a half."

"Take a look first, so you can be prepared."

Jiang Ruan took it and saw that starting tomorrow, she would have three endorsements a day, or even six endorsements a day, and would have to visit six venues a day, and this situation would continue for more than a month.

Jiang Ruan was completely bewildered: "Give me a knife and kill me."

She felt like crying and couldn't help but ask, "Why are there so many advertising endorsements?"

Sister Qin smiled kindly: "It's all because you're too popular."

"Honey, keep going! Remember, all of this costs money. Even though you don't need money now, don't you want to see the numbers in your bank account keep increasing?"

Jiang Ruan: "I think so."

Taking a deep breath, she calmed down a bit, looked at the endorsement, and said with a firm gaze: "It's okay, I'm an unkillable cockroach, it's just an endorsement."

"It's a small matter."

Sister Qin laughed heartily: "That's right, this is the Jiang Ruan I know."

So for the next month and a half.

Jiang Ruan leaves early and returns late every day. Some nights she even finished shooting commercials after 1 a.m. and was so tired that she fell asleep in the company's break room.

The villa was brightly lit late at night.

Bo Ye hung up the phone, a flicker of emotion crossing his dark eyes, and glanced at the servants beside him: "Go and rest."

"Yes."

The living room immediately became quiet.

Bo Ye got up, picked up his coat, and went out.

A few minutes later, the black Rolls-Royce left the garage and drove south.

In the lounge, Jiang Ruan was fast asleep on the bed, her eyes filled with exhaustion, and she hadn't even had time to remove her makeup.

She has an endorsement shoot scheduled for 8 a.m. tomorrow.

It's an hour's drive from this castle, so there's no need to go back and forth.

Moreover, Jiang Ruan was really too tired. Even talking felt tiring, and her mind was completely muddled.

In a daze, she thought she heard the door being opened.

Jiang Ruan opened her eyes and saw a figure, dark and backlit by the light from outside the door, walking step by step toward the bed.

Jiang Ruan was startled. Still suffering from the aftereffects of her previous kidnapping, she jerked herself up from the bed and backed away, her voice trembling as she asked, "Who are you?"

"What are you going to do?"

Perhaps not expecting her to wake up suddenly, the dark figure paused for a moment, and then a familiar male voice entered his ears.

"it's me."

"Don't be afraid."

As soon as he finished speaking, the bedroom light turned on with a "snap".

Bo Ye's face instantly appeared in the light.

He was still wearing a suit, clearly indicating that he had just finished work.

Hearing his voice and seeing his appearance, the sweat on Jiang Ruan's forehead instantly disappeared. She took a breath, raised her hand to wipe the sweat, and asked in a slightly hoarse voice, "Bo Ye, why are you here so late?"

Hearing her voice, Bo Ye frowned. Seeing the empty cup on the table, he asked her, "Is this your cup?"

Jiang Ruan replied, "Mm."

She climbed out of bed, slipping on her slippers.

The lounge wasn't large, but it had everything you needed.

The water dispenser started running with a "whoosh" sound. Bo Ye filled a glass with half a glass of cold water, added some hot water, and stopped when he felt the water cool down.

He handed it to her. "Have some water, your throat is hoarse."

Jiang Ruan said "thank you," took it with her little hands, and gulped it down.

Bo Ye glanced around the room; it was much smaller than the bathroom at home, and this was the kind of place she slept in.

It's not safe yet.

He asked her, "Why is your phone off?"

Jiang Ruan exclaimed "Ah!" and turned to look for her phone. She pressed the buttons but couldn't turn it on. Helpless, she said, "It's out of battery and turned off."

"I was so tired today. I was so sleepy after I finished, I didn't even look at my phone."

"I have to get up very early to film tomorrow, and it's too much of a hassle to go back and forth, so I'm not going back. I forgot to tell you, and I'm sorry for making you worry."

Jiang Ruan said apologetically.

Bo Ye knew she was very tired lately, rushing to finish advertising gigs every day. He noticed that she was still wearing makeup while sleeping, and there were dark circles under her eyes, indicating severe sleep deprivation.

His expression darkened, and he said irritably, "I'm not filming anymore. Cancel all those other gigs tomorrow and let them find someone else to film them. I'll pay you whatever it takes."

"what?"

Seeing his angry expression, Jiang Ruan blinked, holding her water glass, somewhat bewildered.

Realizing belatedly that he was really angry, Jiang Ruan couldn't help but burst out laughing.

After drinking the water, her throat felt much better.

She put down her teacup, leaned closer to the man, and smiled sweetly: "You're so cute, Bo Ye."

"But no, this is my job. Since I chose this profession, I have to be responsible and bear the work pressure it brings."

She reached out and hugged his neck: "Just like you manage the Bo family, aren't you very tired every day? You often work overtime until the early hours of the morning. There's no job in the world that isn't tiring."

"To enjoy its brilliance, one must also bear its pressure."

After being lectured by her, Bo Ye laughed in exasperation and pinched the tip of her nose hard with his fingertips without any politeness: "You think you can spout such high-sounding principles? You've gotten so bold as to try and lecture me?"

Jiang Ruan groaned, "It hurts."

Her little face looked so pitiful.

She said, "How dare I lecture you? Who do you think you are? You're President Bo. I'm just telling you the truth, okay?"

Bo Ye released her nose: "I shouldn't have felt sorry for you."

"And then you still have to give me a lecture."

His tone was quite fierce, but his gaze towards her was full of tenderness.

Jiang Ruan wasn't afraid at all. She leaned over and kissed him on the cheek, coaxing, "Okay, I won't say anything more."

"Don't be angry!"

Bo Ye's expression softened.

Jiang Ruan asked him curiously, "How did you know I was here?"

Bo Ye uttered two words: "Keep it a secret."

Jiang Ruan narrowed her eyes: "Did you bribe someone close to me to act as a spy?"

Bo Ye smiled and said, "Guess."

Jiang Ruan stared wide-eyed: "Could it be that I really guessed right?"

"Yes, you know that person too," Bo Ye said calmly.

Jiang Ruan pressed, "Who?"

Bo Ye: "Your agent."

Jiang Ruan: "..."

It's Sister Qin.

"I couldn't get through to you on the phone, so I had to contact your agent. If your agent doesn't even know your schedule, then it's time to replace them."

Bo Ye said coldly,

"She told me you were here."

Jiang Ruan: "And then you came looking for me?"
