Out of control and sinking

Chapter 324 is bad, very bad.

After a wild night with Bo Ye, Jiang Ruan woke up the next day to find it was already dark.

When Jiang Ruan opened her eyes, the bedroom was dark. She propped herself up and got up, and saw Bo Ye sitting on the sofa not far away, working on his computer.

As if hearing the commotion, the man glanced over and smiled, "Awake?"

Jiang Ruan's voice was hoarse when she spoke. She cleared her throat, still feeling uncomfortable: "What time is it?"

Bo Ye frowned upon hearing this, put down his computer, stood up, and brought her a glass of water.

"Take a sip to moisten your throat."

Jiang Ruan took it, drank some warm water, and her throat felt much better.

"Thank you. What time is it now?"

Jiang Ruan looked out the floor-to-ceiling window; it was pitch black outside.

"Did I only sleep for a little while?"

Jiang Ruan's brain was still malfunctioning after waking up.

But then Bo Ye placed the cup on the bedside table and teased, "Tsk, in a bit?"

"You've already slept for sixteen hours, and you'll have to sleep through the New Year in just a few hours."

"If you don't wake up soon, I'll have to call the doctor to come and see you."

He stood by the window, one hand in his pocket.

She wasn't wearing any clothes, but rather a hotel-style bathrobe. Looking down at her fair, white shoulders behind the thin blanket, one could see red marks.

The man's eyes darkened, and a faint smile remained on his lips.

Upon hearing this, Jiang Ruan was shocked: "Sixteen hours?"

"How come I slept for so long?"

Bo Ye: "Perhaps I'm just too tired."

He chuckled softly: "How was your New Year's Eve?"

Jiang Ruan: "..."

She blushed and glared at him, biting her lip as she said, "No, very no."

"No one cries on New Year's Eve."

Bo Ye licked his lips, feigning innocence: "Tsk."

"I didn't make you cry."

Jiang Ruan rolled her eyes speechlessly: "You didn't let me, you did it on purpose."

Where are my clothes?

Jiang Ruan was too lazy to argue with him; she knew this man's character all too well.

Poor old back.

Bo Ye pointed to the trash can: "It's broken, it's gone."

Jiang Ruan then remembered that last night she had torn the skirt because she thought it was in the way... "Bo Ye!" Jiang Ruan's anger was building up, and she gritted her teeth: "This is the first time I've ever worn this skirt."

Bo Ye said calmly, "I'll buy it for you."

Jiang Ruan: "It's not a matter of whether to buy it or not; I bought this dress myself."

Bo Ye licked his lips: "Buy another one."

Jiang Ruan: "I guess you can't buy them now."

“Then let’s customize it,” Bo Ye said. “I’ll draw a sketch for the designer later.”

He scoffed, "Anyway, I know what it looks like. As long as I have the picture, I'm not afraid of not being able to make it."

Jiang Ruan: "..."

I'm completely convinced.

She ended up wearing a bathrobe for now, and Bo Ye had someone bring her some clothes.

Bo Ye was working outside, while Jiang Ruan was taking a shower in the bathroom.

Suddenly, Jiang Ruan cried out, "Ah!"

Bo Ye's expression changed drastically. He dropped his computer and strode towards the bathroom. The door was locked. He gripped the doorknob, frowning nervously: "Jiang Ruan?"

"How are you?"

"I'm fine." Jiang Ruan said, still shaken. "I slipped and almost fell. It scared me to death."

"Luckily, I managed to grab onto the wall next to me."

Bo Ye said, "Open the door, let me see."

Jiang Ruan glared at the doorway: "No way."

"I'm not wearing any clothes."

Bo Ye scoffed, "It's not like I haven't seen it before. Come and open the door."

"Let me check if you are hurt."

He looked completely self-righteous.

Jiang Ruan was firm: "No."

"I'm really fine, you go ahead with your work, Bo Ye."

As soon as he finished speaking, the noise at the door stopped.

Two minutes passed, but he still didn't make a sound.

Jiang Ruan blinked.

Is he angry?

They're gone?
But they also breathed a sigh of relief.
