Days wandering around Hogwarts

Chapter 520 Magic Book?

Chapter 520 Magic Book?
"Charles, let's talk!"

Fred saw a hammer as big as Hagrid appear from the tip of Charles' wand, and he couldn't help but take two steps back and protect Cedric in front of him.

Cedric put on a smile and said, "Charles, if you have anything to say, just talk about it nicely. Don't be like this."

Charles glared and gritted his teeth and said, "It seems that you know why I want to beat you."

Cedric and the others took two steps back, then turned and ran.

But they couldn't outrun Charles.

That hammer was very scary. If you hit it on the top of your head, a bump as high as a palm would immediately appear. It was so painful that it made you cry.

What's even more terrifying is Charles. This guy likes to hit the back of the head. He will have to sleep on his stomach that night.

After seeing this, many people wondered why Charles beat Cedric and the others. The next day, someone mentioned this in the Care of Magical Creatures class, and Hagrid interrupted and said something.

When Charles returned from Farbottom Castle that evening, Lavender asked him, "I heard that one of Diggory's men dressed up as you and ate an owl as big as a man at the Dancing Grass Restaurant without paying?"

Charles glanced at Ron who was not far away and said angrily, "Yes, that owl is as big as Ron. It's so precious!"

Ron pretended not to hear and continued doing his homework. Harry and Hermione had a hard time holding back their laughter.

Charles returned to the dormitory, sat at his desk, prepared a bottle of happy water, and took out a folder he brought back from the company.

There are several thick booklets inside, printed on A4 paper and simply bound with thread. People who don’t know much about it might think they are in a foreign language, but people who know about it can tell at a glance that the content is mathematical.

Charles was so absorbed in his research that he only drank two sips of happy water when Seamus came back at almost eleven o'clock.

Simo was not in a good mental state. He walked to the desk and asked, "Do you have the water of life and death? I can't sleep now."

Although he didn't know the specific events of the competition, so many dragons were enough to give Seamus a headache, especially after Hermione described how powerful those dragons were.

Ximo hadn't been sleeping well these past two days.

Charles smiled and said, "I think you slept well. Last night, you asked me about the twelve ways to cook dragon eggs in your sleep."

Seamus opened his mouth and seemed to have some memory, probably because Ron mentioned the dragon eggs.

Charles handed a booklet to Seamus and said, "Drinking too much Life and Death Water can have side effects. Read this before going to bed. It will help you sleep."

Seamus took the booklet and asked, "What is this?"

Charles replied: "About the core content of the magic model I want to make."

Seamus immediately became excited when he heard this. Everyone knew that Charles was going to use the huge red crystal to make a very powerful magic item. Even Dumbledore had praised him privately several times.

This means that there is some very powerful magic recorded in the book.

Seamus climbed onto the bed with the book, lowered the bed curtains, and began to read seriously since lighting was not a problem.

Charles took two sips of happy water, and then he heard snoring from the bedroom.

"I tell you, Charles has a magic book that makes him fall asleep as soon as he reads it."

"I heard from Seamus that he got a magic book from Charles in order to deal with the dragon, but reading it will make people comatose."

"Have you heard that Charles wrote a magic book for Seamus? Once it is opened, the fire dragon will also fall into coma."

Charles was then stopped by Professor McGonagall after the Transfiguration lesson.

Professor McGonagall said to Charles seriously, "Smith, don't give dangerous magic books to others casually."

There are so many strange and weird magic books in the magic world. Face hugging is nothing. In serious cases, it can cause death to the reader. In comparison, just falling into a coma is considered to be less harmful.

Charles was full of questions. He could tell from the professor's address that he was serious, but he really didn't give the fictitious magic book to anyone.

He asked, "Professor, are you mistaken? I don't have any magic book at all."

Professor McGonagall reminded him, "The one you gave Finnigan last night."

Charles scratched his head and said, "That's not a magic book. It's just some basic knowledge I need for the magic model I want to make."

Professor McGonagall glared at him. It’s already a large magic model, isn’t it just a magic book?

She stretched out her hand to Charles and said, "Let me see it." Charles had no choice but to hand the booklet that he had shown Seamus yesterday to Professor McGonagall.

Professor McGonagall saw that there was a small magic that could help one concentrate on reading, so it wasn't a big problem. The interesting thing was that the content was written in code.

I don’t quite understand the password, but my best friend does.

Dumbledore also heard about this, so when Professor McGonagall called him, he came to see what new tricks Charles was up to.

"It was written by the Russians. My intuition tells me that it is not a code."

Dumbledore watched carefully.

"Well... there is some kind of pattern."

"Hmm...what is the 'method of Lagrange multipliers'?"

"Hmm... what is a 'Bayesian network'?"

"Snoring... snoring..."

When Professor McGonagall saw her best friend fell asleep in the chair, she was shocked. She didn't expect that this magic book was so powerful that even Dumbledore couldn't resist it?
No one saw Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall coming to dinner today, and the professors were very curious because they hadn't heard that they had gone out for any reason.

After dinner, Moody felt more and more that something was wrong. He was worried that it was Voldemort who was causing trouble, so he went to the headmaster's office first, asked the painters, and then went to Professor McGonagall's office.

The office was quiet. Dumbledore and McGonagall were both sleeping soundly with their heads drooped.

Moody was startled, remembering that he had heard students asking about Charles's magic book in class today, and saw that there was indeed a strange book in front of McGonagall.

He didn't dare to wake them up rashly. No matter how serious the matter related to Charles was, it was not excessive. Maybe falling asleep was just an appearance, and there might be other reasons.

Now what to do is to check the magic on this book first.

"Hidden very deeply!"

Moody discovered that there was only one spell in the booklet that allowed the reader to concentrate, and its effect was extremely minor, and it had almost no effect on Dumbledore and the others.

Other than that, the magic eye was about to bulge out with fire, and no other magic was found in the book.

Moody was puzzled, how could this book make people unconscious?

"Gululu..."

A noise came from Dumbledore.

"Ah, time for dinner!"

Dumbledore jumped up.

He woke up because he was hungry, and woke up Professor McGonagall as well.

Moody immediately asked, "Albus, Minerva, do you feel any discomfort?"

Dumbledore rubbed his neck and said, "My neck is a little sore."

"what happened?"

"Dinner was over two hours ago," Moody said.

Dumbledore was surprised: "I have been asleep for so long?"

Professor McGonagall also said, "Are you sure you're not kidding?"

Moody pointed to the clock in his office, and it was.

Then Charles was recaptured.

Moody asked him, "Smith, what is this magic book about? Is there any other magic in it?"

Charles said thoughtfully: "This incident gave me an inspiration. I was just thinking of a little magic."
