Chapter 289 Almost Died
At New York's Kennedy Airport, most of the crew were wandering around the terminal in boredom, waiting for the weather to improve.

A sudden rainstorm caused widespread flight delays, and the crew's charter plane was temporarily unable to take off.

Martin stood by the window, raindrops hitting the glass in front of him, so dense that he couldn't even see the Boeing passenger plane not far away.

Bruce brought over a bottle of water.

Martin took it, opened it and took a sip, then asked, "In this kind of weather, only the pilots of the Polar Bear family would dare to take off, right?"

Bruce shrugged and said in a standard American tone: "Who knows? When they get crazy, they even drink antifreeze."

Chad hurried over to check on the rain and muttered, "When will it stop?"

Martin asked, "Your girlfriend is waiting for you in Los Angeles?"

"I'm a bachelor and I don't have a girlfriend." Chad organized his words a little and said, "Remember Marcus, whom we met at the Angel Shooting Club in Kane?"

The name sounded familiar, and Martin recalled it briefly before remembering, "The soldier who served in Afghanistan?"

Chad nodded. "Yes, that's him. Marcus is particularly interested in the film industry. He wants to become a stuntman and action director after retirement. He has been in touch with me."

He paused for a moment before saying, "I lost contact with him in December. I learned last week that the SEAL team that Marcus was in was attacked during a mission, and he was the only one who survived."

Bruce continued, "He's lucky. In a place like Afghanistan, being alive is better than anything else."

Martin didn't say anything and wasn't interested in the life or death of the SEAL team.

Chad added: "Marcus retired from the military and decided to settle in Los Angeles. He suffered a great psychological trauma. I had an appointment with him to go see him as soon as I got off the plane."

Martin said: "Don't worry, this kind of severe convective weather will end quickly as it comes."

After waiting for nearly two hours, the crew finally boarded the charter flight back to Los Angeles.

Martin asked for a blanket to sleep on.

Bruce moved closer to Chad and they started talking about Afghanistan.

Returning from cold and damp New York to sunny Los Angeles, I felt inexplicably refreshed.

The mood will be even better when a blonde beauty with a fantastic figure comes over and asks for a hug.

After a passionate kiss, Martin and Bruce got into the Mercedes-Benz G driven by Blake.

Bruce drove back to the Coty community. Martin and Blake were still unloading luggage from the car when the doorbell rang.

"Who?" Old Bu went to open the door and found it was his neighbor next door.

Jenna, with her blonde hair tied into a ponytail, greeted with a smile: "Hello, Old Bu." She tilted her head to look inside the door: "Is Martin back? I looked for him several times but he was not there. I just heard some noise..."

"She came to see you a few times." Blake said to Martin first, then went over and said with a smile: "Come in and talk."

Jenna looked at Blake's fantastic figure and couldn't help asking, "Blake, how do you exercise?"

Blake let the person in and said as he walked in, "Part of it is innate, and part of it is training. I have been the captain of the cheerleading team since the sixth grade, and I have always been very active."

Martin greeted Jenna and invited her, "Would you like to sit in the house for a while?"

Jenna shook her head: "No, I'm going to the Sacred Valley soon." She opened the shoulder bag she was carrying and took out a packaged square box from it: "The Wanted sample is out. You know this series best. I sent the sample over and wanted you to help me see if there is anything that needs to be improved."

Martin took it, handed it to Blake, and said, "You're very polite."

Jenna smiled and said, "Without you, I wouldn't be able to get the rights to remake the film, nor would I be able to take advantage of the popularity of Wanted. Of course, I have to show you the film first after it's made. You weren't at home the last few times I came here."

Martin said politely, "I'll take a look."

Jenna quickly said, "I'm leaving now, we'll talk later."

Martin and Blake sent her out of the house, came back with the suitcases and entered the villa. Old Bu was very smart and went directly to the annex building.

After putting down his luggage, Blake curiously opened the square gift box, and as expected, inside was a beautifully packaged CD.

The Sacred Valley version of "Wanted"!
The heroine Jenna occupies most of the cover.

Blake was only 18 after all, and couldn't help but say, "How can you get someone to help you research this kind of film?"

Martin took it and threw it on the coffee table: "Give it to Old Bu later."

Blake took it back, very curious: "How about...we take a look?"

Martin pulled him upstairs: "Let's go to the bedroom."

The next morning, after breakfast, Blake went to Burbank to take accent lessons to practice his New York accent.

Martin and Bruce got into the Escalade and went out.

As soon as Bruce turned onto the road, he saw the Joneses taking a walk.

Mr. Jones waved over here, so Martin had to ask Bruce to stop the car, got out of the passenger seat, greeted him, and asked, "What's up?"

"It's nothing serious." Mr. Jones said with a smile, "Jenna sent you the sample, didn't she?"

Martin nodded: "It was delivered to me yesterday."

Mr. Jones was very concerned about his daughter's new work and asked, "How is the photo? Is it okay?"

Martin felt uncomfortable with this question. He thought of several ways to answer it, but all of them were awkward.

On the other hand, Mr. Jones was not embarrassed at all, but very serious, as if he was discussing a serious art topic. This is an art topic! Martin could only hint to himself in his heart and said, "It's a very good shot, a masterpiece. I think Jenna can win the grand prize this year."

Mr. Jones was very pleased: "If I can really win a big prize, it will be considered an achievement."

Martin decided to end their chat: "I have something else to do, let's talk again when I have time."

Mr. Jones said, "When Jenna comes back, I will invite you, Old Bull, and Blake to come to my house for tea. By the way, give us your professional opinions on the film."

Martin waved and got in the car quickly.

Bruce stepped on the accelerator and the car immediately accelerated away from here.

He asked, “How is your research going?”

Martin said seriously: "It's very hard for a man to handle so many things at once, but it's much easier the other way around."

Bruce muttered, "When can I fight two against one?"

Martin was too lazy to answer this idiotic question, so he took out his cell phone and called Leonardo: "I'm back in Los Angeles, where are you? Come out and say hello!"

"I can't have fun anymore!" Leonardo seemed to be walking in a hurry: "I just learned that that bastard Old Jack is in the hospital, and I'm going to go see him."

Martin raised his voice unconsciously: "What's wrong with him?"

Leon Ando said, "I don't know either. He is at the University of California Medical Center. Come over when you are free."

"Old Bruce, go to the University of California Hospital Center!" Martin said to Bruce first, and then said to the phone: "I'll be there right away."

The asshole trio won't become a duo, right?
Martin rushed to the medical center, found Nicholson's ward, and when he knocked on the door and entered, Leonardo was already standing in front of the bed.

Nicholson lay on the hospital bed, looking listless.

Martin lowered his voice and asked, "What's going on?"

Leonardo pointed at Martin with a serious face: "Because of you!"

Martin was puzzled.

"Yes, it's all because of you." Nicholson raised his head slightly and spoke weakly: "I used the magic medicine you gave me, and then I became like this. I almost died!"

Martin looked at Nicholson, then at Leonardo: "How... could this happen?"

He noticed that Leonardo was not normal, and immediately took two steps back, leaning against the wall, his hands, face and voice shaking: "How could this happen?"

Leonardo frowned, glared, and roared: "You bastard, think about how to make up for it!"

Nicholson glanced at him and couldn't help shaking his head: "You are so bad. There are too many flaws."

Before Leonardo could speak, Martin strode over and put his arms around his neck: "Have you used it?"

Nicholson sat up and instantly became more energetic: "He is a coward. I dare not use him."

Leonardo pointed at Nicholson: "You..."

Martin said: "Your signature three-hit combo came out, I can't tell you're acting?"

Leonardo was helpless, as he was the one whose acting skills were despised among the trio.

Martin ignored the jerk and asked Nicholson, "Why are you in the hospital? You're not having a wild party. Is that too much at once?"

"Basketball game." Nicholson was a little excited: "That bastard referee was targeting the Lakers throughout the game. I yelled at him and reminded him to be fair, but he went even further..."

Martin quickly said, "Calm down, calm down."

Nicholson took a deep breath and said, "He pissed me off and my blood pressure went up. My heart feels a little uncomfortable, but it's nothing serious."

Leonardo said: "You are the mascot of the Lakers. You yell at the referee. The referee can't do anything to you as a spectator. He can only blame the team."

Nicholson said, "You don't watch basketball much, you don't understand it at all."

Leonardo spread his hands and said no more.

Martin said to Nicholson: "You should take a good rest and stop thinking so much."

Seeing that the old bastard wouldn't listen, he simply said, "Do you want me and Leo to have fun while you watch?"

"Absolutely not!" Nicholson listened to her this time and lay back on the bed obediently: "I will fight for another ten years. I want revenge on Naomi Campbell!"

Leonardo was amused by him: "Martin, you bastard still has a solution!"

Nicholson chased them away: "You two bastards, get out of here and don't disturb my rest."

Martin said, "Have a good rest. Call me and Leo if you have anything."

Leonardo also said: "The three bastards are still waiting for you to come out and take charge of the situation."

Nicholson was not happy with what he heard: "I just had a small problem, but you guys made me feel like I was going to die!"

Leonardo pulled Martin out of the ward.

Martin said, "Let's go have a drink and chat somewhere?"

Leonardo responded, "Let's go."
