Chapter 615: The Evil Ones Are the First to Complain
Looking for trouble with Guandijun?
That was just a joke, could anyone really take it seriously?
Others may not know how the conflict between Zhang Ke and Guandi came about, but how could he not know it himself?
In order to seek revenge on Lingshan, Zhang Ke, who was determined to destroy his country, caused a big commotion in the Ming Dynasty in the novice copy, flooding temples, pushing down Buddha statues, and toppling tall towers. It was unknown whether Guandi, who was pried away by Lingshan to serve as the guardian of Jialan, wanted to save the lives of the people out of his own will or because he felt guilty about taking on the responsibility of Jialan.
Anyway, He had already drawn His sword, and considering Zhang Ke's petty temper and his ignorance and experimentation with the void game at the time, he simply fought back.
Originally, Zhenwu was there to mediate, and the money and goods should have been paid and neither side owed the other anything. However, Guan Sheng's hand trembled and he hid something in the gift, and thus the grudge between the two was created.
Therefore, Zhang Ke was tricked and had to either get beaten for nothing and watch but not eat; or he had to endure the consequences and swallow the bitter fruit.
With Zhang Ke's pure player mentality at the time, no matter how painful the apology was, he naturally chose the latter.
After all, as a player who has been playing Steam for several years, I have been fed shit by game manufacturers more than once or twice.
Even though the void game turned the sensory nausea into a double torture of the body and the mind, Zhang Ke had to accept it in order to supplement the almost non-existent means of attack at the time.
The results were not as expected.
Guandijun's swordsmanship is indeed useful, and even played a certain role in enlightening Zhang Ke's subsequent path.
But in the same way, the original transaction of payment and goods was turned into a shoddy one, with the seller adding sand to the goods, and the cause and effect between the two was naturally not completely severed.
However, Zhang Ke's strength was not very strong after passing the novice copy, and with the appearance of Emperor Zhenwu, his mentality also changed.
In the vast background of the multiverse and the boundless universe, even if Guandi himself has become a deity, his own limitations and flaws are equally obvious, but an emperor-level figure is still not something that the fledgling little Karami can argue with.
When in the copy, he can transform into the fourth disaster of uncertain good or evil, but outside the copy he becomes an ant on the road to transcendence.
Forced by reality, Zhang Ke could only selectively forget about this matter. Anyway, the afterlife at that time was still a Dharma-Ending World with no connection between heaven and earth. No matter how powerful the Emperor was, he could not do anything to him unless he demolished the barrier of the afterlife.
Therefore, with a yearning for the extraordinary and the helplessness of reality, Zhang Ke had to frequently look for copies and conduct strategies in order to quickly improve himself.
This continued until Zhang Ke was admired by the two Yues in the East and West in the Tang Dynasty, and this past event remained calm and uneventful.
By the time Zhang Ke had acquired the corresponding strength and obtained the Tiger Soul Cavalry, he thought that Guan Sheng had not caused him trouble when he was weak, so he naturally didn't bother to show off and do disgusting things.
Although Zhang Ke is narrow-minded and sometimes speaks ill of others, he is greedy and lustful, and has all kinds of shortcomings, but it is undeniable that he is not a confused person.
This time, by saying a few words in front of the three emperors, I can repay them for the false alarm!
It is worth mentioning that after leaving the Daizong Temple, Zhang Ke really went straight to the Heaven. Surrounded by the Samadhi True Fire, the raging flames drew a violent rainbow across the sky. The red and golden light broke through the layer of strong winds that were used to block the sight of ordinary people and then broke through the Nine Heavens.
It was not until he reached Tianmen that Zhang Ke stopped and turned around to head towards Lingshan.
Zhang Ke believed that after what happened to him, even if the three emperors didn’t think anything was wrong, they would preventively send a message to him or a few people who could mediate the fight so that they could prepare in advance.
In fact, when Zhang Ke was preparing to force his way through the Heavenly Gate, he had already seen the two emperors Zhenwu and Wenchang, who looked worried, as well as the Four Heavenly Masters and dozens of immortals and gods from various tribes among the rising clouds.
This lineup is unlikely to be able to stop Zhang Ke if he really wants to go all out, but it is enough to delay time.
Zhang Ke had no doubt that inside the Heavenly Palace that he could not see, there must be an unconvinced Guandi Emperor and several immortal gods who were trying to persuade him in a good way.
The reason why Zhang Ke performed this scene so perfectly was because he wanted this effect.
There was no way. He had forgotten about it, but Taishan and Ziwei brought it up again. Adhering to Emperor You's usual petty temperament, how could he not do something to face the world, to face those monsters and gods from other regions that he had killed?
After a feint, Zhang Ke turned around and headed towards Lingshan.
If the conflict with Emperor Guan can be explained by misunderstanding, then the dispute between Zhang Ke and Lingshan cannot be explained in a few words.
From being imprisoned by the National Master in the novice copy, to being backstabbed in the face by the Great Monk, to the advent of the Arhat, when they failed to recruit them, they used killing moves frequently, killing the young ones and then the old ones, and then the old ones and then the old ones. They were very familiar with these things in Jiuzhou, until Lingshan was hit and the Buddha asked for a beating, then they stopped and closed the mountain.
But in the past, there was a heavenly palace hovering in it.
Of course, the more crucial thing is that Zhang Ke has too many people to beat up, and some of them even come to him to get beaten up. He really can't take care of people like Lingshan who just hide and don't move for the time being.
But it's different now.
In a void war, Jiuzhou made a fortune and Zhang Ke also became famous.
In the current Void Outer Realm, 30% of them have closed the access channel to him, 30% of them have an attitude of "if you dare to come, we will fight you", 30% of them are gentle and kind races, there is really no reason for them to wander over, and the remaining 10% belongs to the world outside the known civilized area, and it will take some time for the other party to hear about Zhang Ke's reputation.
In this way, when the golden and red rainbow light flew all the way, there was chaos wherever it passed.
Countless beings were either silent or timid, or even looked with fear at the blazing rainbows above their heads that competed with the sun for brilliance!
At this time, Zhang Ke had already seen the Lingshan Gate hidden in the space. The rippling Buddha light was as dazzling to Zhang Ke as if he was walking naked outside!
The next moment, the rainbow light that enveloped Zhang Ke disintegrated. In a flash, the surging light turned directly into a roaring, flaming red dragon. Amid the loud dragon roar, this behemoth, which was as long as 1,500 feet and as thick as a mountain, crashed straight into space.
In an instant, the sky collapsed!
The space used as a cover was melted by the high heat brought by the fire dragon before it could even come into contact with the invisible space. The invisible space turned into a transparent medium that dripped all over the ground.
After stripping off the hidden shell, the magnificent and golden gate of Lingshan was revealed to the outside world. The red-gold Buddha's light turned into thousands of beams of light, spreading a dazzling light and shadow across the sky.
Under the outline of the Buddha's light, the mountain range gradually took shape, with golden bricks and jade tiles, carved beams and painted buildings, birds and beasts, rare treasures. The entire eternal root of Buddhism, the source of all monks - Lingshan was presented in great detail above the sky, and the faces of each arhat and each venerable were clearly visible and lifelike.
In the middle of this mountain range that blocks out the sun, you can see a huge palace that stretches across a vast area and reaches almost into the clouds. Its name is - the Great Hall of the Buddha!
Dazzling gold is its base color. The nearly one-kilometer-high golden wooden door is open to the outside, and the scene inside can be clearly seen through the gap in the door.
Gold and jade are made into bricks, and precious lotus is the seat. In the temple, Bodhisattvas sit with a compassionate look. At this time, the Buddha sits cross-legged on the lotus platform, humbly and politely like a student. His eyes are looking straight towards the center of the hall, where is the seat of the Buddha, the Sakyamuni in Sanskrit, and the Tathagata Buddha in the legend of Kyushu!
The Buddha's light appears in seven colors on the huge and majestic body, and the halo of merit behind the head shines in all directions, bringing people a sense of comfort and peace. The obscure Buddhist scriptures are slowly revealed from the Buddha's mouth, and the sincere yet profound Buddhist principles are like a cat's claws gently scratching people's hearts.
Especially the smile on the corner of the Buddha's mouth, and the expectation and recognition in his eyes, are enough to drive every Lingshan believer who sees this scene crazy!
Pretty much the same, actually.
In this barbarian land that was separated from the jurisdiction of the Han and Tang Dynasties and located in the remote west, the barbarians who have been blessed by Lingshan for thousands and tens of thousands of years have already become Lingshanized. Their daily lives and every move are full of traces of Lingshan. The second half of Journey to the West in later generations was filmed conservatively.
At the foot of the real Lingshan Mountain, everything is good, and the world is united. In this place where everyone pursues reincarnation and crosses the sea of suffering, it is not a lie that when one side is in trouble, all sides come to help. Although the fundamental purpose is to gain merit, at least it looks like it. More importantly, at the foot of Lingshan Mountain, the country of the Buddhas allows all kinds of charity, but if you save people from the sea of suffering and make the wicked and evil turn back, the Buddhas will not hesitate to reward.
The last point is that this signature item will definitely attract a lot of attention.
Of course, all of this is true.
But if you really want to come here to make money, you have to consider your own quality. After all, Lingshan is not a charity, and the legends of the red-faced women and the white bones in the Buddhist scriptures are not false.
When the sacred mountain, which had disappeared for decades, reappeared in the world, people knelt down one after another in the surrounding Buddha kingdoms.
From kings and nobles to ordinary people, everyone paid homage to the Buddha with great ceremony, praising the greatness of the Buddha and expressing their longing for the sacred mountain with all kinds of intense actions.
However, this pleasant scenery did not last long.
When the Buddha's light that had been accumulated for many years and blocked by the gate was able to burst out in an instant to announce the return of the Buddhas to the world at the predetermined Lingshan grand event, in the bright Buddha's light, a majestic figure had silently raised the battle axe in his hand and chopped down without hesitation.
In just a moment, the peaceful and beautiful illusion was torn apart.
A blood-red battle axe that is hundreds of thousands of meters long, chopping down from the sky. The impact of the completely opposite scene is a horrifying scene that most living beings will never dream of in their entire lives!
And when everything is presented, it becomes reality.
There was no need for the battle axe to tear the ground apart. In the face of the violent hurricane brought by the battle axe, countless mortals had already been swept up into the sky by the turbulent airflow, along with houses, tools, gold, silver, jewelry, trees, rocks, etc.
Everything was blown up into the sky, swirling, floating and colliding with each other in the turbulent air flow.
In just a moment, the dim hurricane was dyed with a cruel scarlet. Colorful unidentified objects fluttered in the wind, mixed with the sand and dust, and rushed towards the distance.
There is more than one Buddhist kingdom that has been destroyed.
As the hurricane spread in all directions, no matter if there were human habitation or not, no matter if there were mountains, rivers or streams, all were blown to the ground by the violent winds, and objects on the surface sank and collided in the wind, waiting to be completely disintegrated.
However, Zhang Ke, the instigator of all this, did not have much feeling about it.
Most of these Buddhist countries were transformed by barbarians from foreign regions. Even if they were born in the appearance of humans, in Zhang Ke's eyes, humans who were not of the Jiuzhou bloodline were not much better than monkeys.
Since he is not a human being, there is nothing to sympathize with.
What's more, they also believe in Lingshan.
Even though they had committed two unforgivable crimes, the fact that Zhang Ke did not commit the crime himself was already very worthy of the local atmosphere they had accumulated while living in Jiuzhou for many years and spending every day together.
As for the gate of Lingshan, as soon as Gan Qi chopped it down, the seemingly luxuriously decorated, ancient and heavy gate turned into debris that scattered all over the sky, and the four Vajra guarding the gate were directly swept away by the powerful force, and their internal organs were full of holes due to the broken gate.
The rolling waves of earth rolled from the gate of Lingshan Mountain into the secret realm.
And Zhang Ke's body, which had transformed into a magical power and unfolded into a Dharma form, was walking slowly behind the crazy trend of the earth waves that destroyed everything. The Lingshan Mountain, which had already been blown three feet to the ground by the hurricane, was shaken and destroyed frequently after Zhang Ke's unrestrained heavy stomping.
The first to suffer were the residences of the novice monks at the foot of the mountain.
As the best place in the entire Lingshan system, the overall environment of Lingshan is actually not much different from the capitals of past dynasties. The nobles reside in the Main Hall, and there are independent temples on Lingshan Mountain, covering an area of thousands of miles.
Dozens or even hundreds of them are crowded in a temple. Although it is unbearable, they still have their own piece of land.
However, secular gods like novice monks and monks live in the bottom of the sacred mountain and can only live at the foot of the mountain. Those with outstanding talents can go to the mountainside or the top of the mountain to serve the Buddhas and occasionally listen to scriptures. Although it is difficult, there will be a day when they can come out.
The middle ones are willing to work hard and listen to the orders of the Buddhas and Arhats. They do the dirty and tiring work to provide for Mount Lingshan and the Buddhas, and slowly endure the days until the end of their lives. Or they may be taken in by a Bodhisattva or Venerable who likes them and become a boy or a pet.
As for the lower ones, they are responsible for all those dirty and tiring tasks that are difficult for people to look at, which are inconvenient for the Buddhas of Lingshan to do. The division of labor between people may be different, but their lives are absolutely the same.
With nothing at home and having to sleep in the open air, even if one has the desire to seek Buddhahood, there is no way to do so. To spend one's entire life being influenced by a great monk in the rich environment of Lingshan is the limit that ordinary people can achieve.
Spending your entire life fighting for reincarnation, being rich and living a long life is already the limit!
Even so, the monks and novices are content to accept it, immersed in their own distorted theories pieced together from fragments of words and unable to extricate themselves, immersed in their own world, believing that all suffering is the result of accumulating virtue and doing good deeds, and that the more unbearable the experience, the greater the blessing it means!
They were used to working like slaves on weekdays, so when they saw the giant that blocked out the sky and the sun stepping towards them without mercy, there was not a trace of fear or panic in the eyes of the novice monks. Even when they were in a sea of fire, surrounded by the scorching and raging flames, their skin was charred, their fat melted, their flesh and blood stuck to their bones, and then their bodies and the thin layer of skin turned into scattered ashes in the flames, they were not afraid.
All we have is a calm and peaceful mind, and a compassionate heart full of merits.
Sad giant, miserable big guy, I have escaped from the sea of suffering and reincarnated, but you still have to walk around in the world with such an ugly face, immersed in the sea of suffering, intoxicated with killing.
Zhang Ke, who had just greeted everyone in the main hall, looked speechlessly at the souls surrounding him, which were as densely packed as mosquitoes flying around the lampshade on a summer night.
No wonder the famous Bai Lian and Maitreya in Kyushu always have to establish some connection with Buddhism when they want to cause trouble. Is this the source of their feelings?
Even listening to it with your own ears can lead to misguided interpretations.
"If Emperor You wanted to visit Lingshan to pass on a message, he could just do it. Why would he break in through the door and ruin countless lives? It's really sad and lamentable!"
As Zhang Ke was looking at these souls that were gradually being annihilated in the sea of fire with a slightly ridiculous feeling, a huge but familiar figure slowly emerged from the main hall.
As expected, he is the leader of Lingshan - Tathagata Buddha!
As soon as he went out, his huge body began to swell in the wind, and his height of a hundred feet expanded to about ten thousand feet before he stopped. He formed a condescending posture like a human child looking down on an ant, and questioned Zhang Ke in a self-proclaimed peaceful tone.
"Kill them if you want. They are just some barbarians, pigs and dogs. Are they worth feeling guilty about and apologizing for?"
Zhang Ke came back to his senses and looked at the tactful Buddha. He nodded and no longer forced himself to maintain the shrunken posture.
When Zhang Ke's true form was revealed, a behemoth that was larger than the Buddha and taller than the Lingshan Secret Realm suddenly rose from the ground. Its hard head directly smashed the sky under the Lingshan Secret Realm and pierced into the outside world, causing chaos in the celestial phenomena inside and outside the secret realm.
"I have heard from the emperors that you, Sakyamuni, have not changed your barbaric nature. You are the Buddha of the Nine Provinces, and you enjoy the incense of the human race, but you still miss your old master."
"I originally thought it was just a joke from the Emperor and shouldn't be taken seriously, but I never thought that the Emperor would restrain himself!"
Looking at the Samadhi Fire that had spread all over the mountains and turned the entire Lingshan into a sea of fire in a short period of time, and looking at the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas who hurriedly ran out of the Main Hall to put out the fire, Zhang Ke came back to his senses and spat lightly at the Buddha in front of him who was supporting his body with incense.
After hearing Zhang Ke's few words, even the Buddha's face turned visibly red. The arm holding the vajra in the Dharma image just stretched forward a little and touched an indestructible barrier.
The Buddha looked at Zhang Ke with disbelief as he offered himself to be beaten. The anger that had just been aroused by his words disappeared in an instant.
"you"
Almost as soon as the Buddha opened his mouth, Zhang Ke interrupted him with an even louder voice, "How dare you!"
“As an immortal god of the Nine Provinces, you dare to speak for the barbarians, attack this emperor, despise the heaven, and disregard etiquette and law.
If the upper beam is crooked, the lower beams will be crooked too. If you are like this, I think Lingshan is also a place where filth and dirt are hidden.
You thief, surrender quickly and follow me to the Lingxiao Palace to confess your crime!"
However, although he said he would surrender, Gan Qi did not hesitate to kill him.
