I'm the king of the roll at Hogwarts

Chapter 303 Louis's Power Play

Chapter 303 Louis's Power Play
Karkaroff looked at the young man in front of him in doubt and confusion, and a brainstorm began in his mind.

He wasn't sure where the boy got the information from, whether it was from Snape, Dumbledore, or an elder in the family.

Seeing that Louis still had a half-smile on his face, he decided to pretend to be confused and test Louis further.

"I don't quite understand what Mr. Mountbatten is saying." Karkaroff pretended to be confused, and his acting was pretty good. If Louis hadn't been sure that he was a Death Eater, he might have been a little shaken.

The pretending is so damn similar.

"It doesn't matter if you don't understand," Louis raised the corner of his mouth and showed a noncommittal smile, "Anyway, I have plenty of time, Headmaster Karkaroff. At least now I don't have a burning sensation on my arm, and no one is calling me, don't you think?"

"You..." Karkaroff stood up and glared at Louis, but Louis ignored him and just sipped Sakuya's tea. After a while, Karkaroff seemed to be exhausted and sat back on the sofa with a look of relief on his face.

"Yes, you are right. I was once a Death Eater. Tell me, was it Severus who told you this, or was it Dumbledore who told you this?"

Karkaroff's tone was somewhat reckless.

"Of course they didn't tell me that," Louis smiled, put down his teacup, and crossed his legs. "Don't worry, I know you escaped trial in the Wizengamot court, and of course I have no interest in letting someone try you again."

"Mr. Mountbatten called me over here, is there something going on?" Karkaroff was already lying down. He was not sure what Louis was up to, so he could only respond as he saw fit.

"I can remove the Dark Mark for you." Louis crossed his arms leisurely, staring at Karkaroff with a teasing look.

Sure enough, when Karkaroff heard this, he could no longer lie down. Instead, he stood up and asked tremblingly, "Really...? Are you serious? Can you help me remove the Dark Mark?"

Louis didn't say anything, but looked at him leisurely.

"No, you are so young, how could you remove the Dark Mark? Yes, you must be fooling me..." Karkaroff said mysteriously.

Louis did not argue, he just asked a question: "Do you know why when you went to see Professor Snape, he was not at all panicked about the reaction of the Dark Mark?"

Karkaroff was struck by lightning when he heard this. He opened his mouth like a toad. After a long while, he stammered, "Could it be... could it be you?"

Louis did not answer his question, still with that leisurely look in his eyes, and Karkaroff felt like he was going crazy.

He swore that if it was someone else today... well, someone who was not so strong and dared to talk to him like this, he would definitely cast at least two Unforgivable Curses, but he really couldn't figure out Louis's background. He didn't think that a woman as proud as Catherine would commit herself to a man who was not as strong as her.

Based on this speculation, he thought Louis was very strong, at least beating him would not be a problem.

Facts have proved that as someone who survived Voldemort's clutches, he was an expert at reading people's expressions. He guessed most of it right, but he didn't fully predict that Louis might not be able to beat Catherine when the two of them were together.

Of course, now the offense and defense have switched, and Louis often "beats" Catherine to the point of begging for mercy.

"Yes, it must be you..." Karkaroff opened his mouth, revealing a mouthful of ugly teeth, "You can help me remove the Dark Mark, but I need to pay a price, right?"

"You are a smart man, Headmaster Karkaroff." Louis said slowly, raising his right hand in front of him and rubbing his other nails with the ball of his thumb.

Karkaroff was a little confused. He didn't know what Louis was up to and couldn't guess Louis' intentions. He sat on the sofa racking his brains, but couldn't figure out what to say.

Seeing that he didn't say anything, Louis snorted and chuckled, waved for Sakuya to come over, and then handed her his hand.

Sakuya leaned against Louis' side obediently, took Louis' hand, took out a nail file and started polishing his nails.

Karkaroff finally couldn't hold it anymore, he asked tentatively: "So what you mean is..."

As she spoke, Sakuya finished filing one of her nails, took Louis's hand and put it to her lips and blew it.

"Blow it again." Louis tilted his head and whispered to Sakuya.

Sakuya smiled sweetly, lifted Louis's hand again, put it to her mouth and blew gently.

"I am willing to offer my loyalty..." Karkaroff said loudly without hesitation. He really couldn't stand the atmosphere in the room. Louis was obviously grilling him slowly on the barbecue grill. This feeling made him extremely tormented.

"I told you that you are a smart man, Headmaster Karkaroff." Louis looked at Karkaroff with a half-smile, which made him feel creepy. "If you are not as smart as I think you are, it seems that there is no need for us to cooperate."

Karkaroff now felt that he would rather face Voldemort. He could even feel a little more relaxed when facing Voldemort. At most he would worry about whether he would die. But this feeling of guessing other people's thoughts was too damn brain-burning. Karkaroff was trembling with panic and sweating profusely. He had no idea what the young man in front of him wanted. He was afraid that he would say something wrong and take a wrong step that would lead to eternal damnation.

Wait... Karkaroff felt as if he had grasped something. He remembered Louis' identity. He was a big shot in the Muggle world. A person like him would definitely not be satisfied with his own loyalty alone. Could it be that... ?
He felt his heart was about to jump out, he finally grasped the negotiation code.

Thinking of this, Karkaroff no longer hesitated. He immediately knelt on the ground and said in an extremely flattering tone: "Durmstrang is willing to offer its loyalty to you! My beloved Highness!"

After Karkaroff finished speaking, the room was completely silent, with only the sound of Sakuya trimming her nails. Karkaroff lay on the ground, not daring to look up. He didn't know if he had made the right move.

Until Louis' voice rang in my ears.

"See, Sakuya?" Louis smiled. He tilted his head and said to Sakuya, "I still have some knowledge of people. I think a smart person is never a fool."

As soon as these words came out, Karkaroff felt relieved. He took two deep breaths, and suddenly remembered the Dark Mark on his arm, so he said flatteringly, "Your Highness, look at my Dark Mark..."

"Dark Mark?" Louis looked at Karkaroff with a half-smile. "I don't remember you having any Dark Mark on you, do you?"

"But..." Karkaroff was about to say something when suddenly there was a thunderclap in his head.

Yeah, why did the burning and tingling sensation in my arms disappear, and there was no more feeling of it calling out to me?
He quickly rolled up his sleeves and found that the Dark Mark on his right arm had indeed disappeared. "Thank you, Your Highness! Thank you, Your Highness!" Karkaroff was overjoyed, but at the same time, he was filled with fear. Being able to remove the Dark Mark on his arm without making a sound, it seemed that this new master was indeed not a simple person.

He is only fourteen years old now, but he has such strength. Karkaroff no longer dares to imagine how terrifying Louis will grow in the future.

I'm afraid that even if Voldemort, Dumbledore, and Grindelwald joined forces, they wouldn't be his opponent, right? This thought suddenly flashed through his mind.

But he obviously has a small vision.

"Get up, you are also a principal, what's the point of lying on the ground?" Louis motioned for him to get up and turned around to call out, "Chris?"

The door opened, and the maid Xiaolong walked to Louis' side, leaned over and asked, "Do you have any instructions, master?"

"Put the cube out," Louis instructed.

It took Christasa a moment to realize who Cube was. She pulled the diary out of her dimensional pocket, shook it in her hand, and young Tom Riddle fell out of the diary.

"Cube, long time no see." Louis greeted.

Cube stood up, brushed off the non-existent dust on his body, and saluted Louis respectfully: "Master..."

"Okay, I'll give you a task." Louis pointed at Karkaroff who was standing there in a daze. "You should be very familiar with this Headmaster Karkaroff. Your task now is to protect him closely to prevent him from being hurt by the Death Eaters. Do you understand?"

"Yes." Fangkuai bowed very respectfully.

Karkarov looked at the "block" and felt it looked familiar. After a while, he finally found out who the block looked like... No, not like, but it was... Add to that the diary, and he understood everything at once.

Karkaroff looked like he was drowning. His hand trembled as he pointed at the block and made "ho ho" sounds, but he couldn't utter a word.

"Is this how you act when old friends meet, Igor?" Cube looked at Karkaroff, who spoke without swearing, with a playful expression on his face.

Karkaroff choked for a long time, and finally uttered a few words: "You...you are...black...black..."

"Now I have been given a name by my master. You should call me Cube, my dear Igor." Cube showed Karkarov a bloodthirsty smile. In Karkarov's opinion, Cube was no less than the most terrifying demon.

"Okay, Cube, stop teasing him." Louis scolded him indifferently, "Your current appearance is a bit irregular, you should think of a way to change your appearance. I'm really afraid that you will cause a riot in the wizarding world when you go out..."

"You are right, my dear master." Cube said, and suddenly changed his body and changed his face - a face that looked like a Hollywood star.

"Why do I feel like he looks familiar?" Louis forgot for a moment who the cube turned into. He always felt that he was familiar, but the name was on the tip of his tongue but he couldn't call it out.

Fangkuai said with a smile: "Marlon Brando, a very classic movie..."

Oh, Louis remembered, this outfit, this face, isn’t this the image of the Godfather in the classic movie?
"It should be said that things in the Muggle world are not completely useless," Cube picked up the clothes, sniffed the rose hanging on his chest, and said in a classic voice: "If I could have been like the Godfather and made my way in the wizarding world, perhaps Dumbledore today would not be my opponent."

"Forces that are held together by violence will never last long," Louis said with a smile.

"Your wisdom is equal to that of an entire ocean," the Cube Godfather said elegantly.

Catherine, who was sitting behind the desk, smiled softly and said to Louis: "Assyria..."

Lewis turned around and gave her a look, meaning you wait tonight, I am angry, the consequences will be serious!
Catherine curled the corners of her lips and gave Louis a provocative look.

Louis was secretly furious in his heart. This anger could not be quelled by just calling "Dad".

He turned to Karkaroff, who was still staring at the cube in a daze, and said, "Don't doubt it, Principal Karkaroff..."

"You can just call me Igor..." Karkarov said flatteringly.

"Well, Igor," Louis readily introduced the cube to Karkaroff, "You guessed right, the cube is one of Voldemort's Horcruxes, but it has been completely subdued by me, so you don't need to worry, it will only protect you now."

"I understand! I understand!" Karkaroff nodded his head: "I completely trust you and Black..." At this point, he glanced at Cube and immediately changed his words: "And Mr. Cube!"

"Hmm." Louis hummed noncommittally and began to order them to leave: "It's getting late, I think your classmates must be waiting impatiently?"

"Ah, if you hadn't mentioned it, I would have forgotten..." Karkaroff grinned and said, "It's always so pleasant to talk to you. I forget the time without realizing it. I'll leave first, Your Highness."

"Yeah." Louis nodded slightly, and when Karkaroff walked to the door, he reminded him in an emotionless tone: "Igor, you are a really smart man, right?"

"Don't worry, Your Highness!" Karkaroff turned around and bowed 120 degrees to Louis, then left the office and closed the door considerately.

Sakuya looked at the closed door and said meaningfully, "This Principal Karkaroff does seem to be a smart man."

"Whether he is smart or not depends on what he does in the future." Louis snorted and looked ahead with a flickering gaze. "In fact, there is no such thing as a truly smart person. Sometimes they have no control over whether they are smart or confused. When they are smart, use them, and when they are confused, throw them away."

As he said this, he turned back to look at Catherine: "But your young lady is different. Sometimes she is not very smart, so I have to teach her a lesson."

Catherine put down the book in her hand after hearing this, tilted her head with a silly expression, pointed her index finger at her lips, and asked innocently, "So how does the young master plan to teach his stupid girlfriend a lesson?"

Louis stood up and walked to Catherine's side, stretched out his hand to pinch her chin, leaned over and said in her ear: "You will know soon..."
