Chapter 16 Gryffindor Laughter Chapter
Chapter 16 Gryffindor Joke
Given Louis's level of herbalism, where he couldn't even tell the difference between celery and coriander, he didn't get any extra points in class.
On the contrary, it was the know-it-all Hermione who kept adding points for Gryffindor, which made the jealous Draco pout constantly.
In fact, not being able to tell the difference between coriander and celery is just a joke. The difficulty of herbal medicine lies not in identification, but in how to keep the herbs alive.
In the first Charms class, Louis gave Professor Flitwick a good look with his Lumos at level five.
"Excellent spell! Five points to Slytherin!" Little Professor Flitwick stood on a pile of books, jumping and dancing.
The History of Magic course was extremely boring. Thanks to Professor Binns' chanting-like teaching style, the entire class was drowsy, which reminded Louis of the old math teacher in his junior high school in his previous life.
His desk mate once exaggeratedly told him that when the teacher bent down to pick up a piece of chalk on the podium, half of the class fell down.
Louis didn't just drift off during History of Magic class - he fell right back asleep.
Anyway, History of Magic was his usual reading material for entertainment, just like he always had a few history books next to the toilet in his previous life. Instead of listening to Professor Binns chanting, he might as well take advantage of this good hypnotic environment to have a good sleep.
Polite Professor Binns: You?
In fact, it’s not his fault. Even Miss Know-It-All, who is always diligent and studious, kept kowtowing.
When the get out of class was over, Louis was informed that Snape was waiting for him in his office.
"Oh, look who's here, isn't this the big shot from Slytherin?" The moment Louis stepped into Snape's office, Snape said sarcastically without even raising his head.
"I'm not a big shot, Professor Snape."
Louis' attitude was neither humble nor arrogant.
"You are very modest, Mr. Mountbatten."
Snape's expression was neither gloomy nor cheerful.
"Humility is one of my few virtues. Professor, you are very insightful."
"Madam Pomfrey told me that the door of Mr. Lestrange, the head of Slytherin, was locked without permission. I think Mr. Mountbatten will give me a reasonable explanation?"
Snape's tone was always drawling, and as greasy as his hair.
"Professor, you know me well." Louis said innocently, "How could an honest person like me take the initiative to cause trouble?"
"Of course I understand you, Mr. Mountbatten." Snape forced a smile that was no better than crying. "You have extraordinary skills at such a young age. I understand that disputes between classmates are inevitable, so I just want to remind you to try not to cause them irreparable psychological trauma."
"Of course, professor, I'm very honest." Louis agreed obediently.
"I have to say, you have redefined the word 'honesty'." Snape's expression was a little complicated.
"Thank you for the compliment, Professor."
Louis showed an embarrassed expression on his face and glanced to the right - there was a glass bottle with two big eyeballs on the display stand on the wall, and his eyes happened to meet the pair of eyeballs, and the white hairs on his arms stood up instantly.
He turned his gaze back unnoticeably to Snape's greasy hair. He had to admit that compared to his horrific collection, his hair was more pleasing to the eye.
Snape choked and said expressionlessly: "You don't seem to know how to distinguish between compliments and sarcasm." He paused and continued: "I hope you will take today's conversation seriously in your heart, Mr. Mountbatten. I am your Potions professor and the head of Slytherin."
He didn't say the next sentence, he believed that a smart person like Louis would understand it immediately. "Thank you for your protection, Professor." Louis thanked Snape sincerely - of course he understood what Snape meant. For a harmless joke like yesterday, he could still comfort the victim at home, but if he went too far, it would be difficult for him to cover it up.
"I thought you were going to deduct points from me." He made a little witty remark to liven up the atmosphere.
Snape curled his lips: "Do you think I'm Professor McGonagall?"
Hearing Professor McGonagall's name, Louis remembered a joke from his previous life. He smiled and said, "Professor, I heard a little joke from a Gryffindor classmate."
Snape looked at him with confusion in his eyes.
"Professor McGonagall was very unhappy with the Weasley twins' night out. She said to Percy Weasley: 'I'm going to take points from Gryffindor!'
Percy thought for a moment, then replied, "Gryffindor please."
He had very sensitive ears and clearly heard Snape make a "ta" sound.
"Very funny joke - you can go now."
There was something wrong with Snape's expression, and his cheeks seemed to be slightly flushed, but because his office was too dark, Louis couldn't see it too clearly.
He nodded and said goodbye to Snape politely. A second after the door was closed, a loud coughing sounded from inside the door, followed by a loud bang of hammering on the table.
When he returned to the Slytherin common room after dinner, Senior Sister Volley was sitting on the sofa in the common room with her legs crossed, waiting for him.
"If you're not punctual next time, find your own way." The senior student's voice was cold.
"Sorry, Wally, Professor Snape just asked me to go to his office."
Louis explained truthfully that he couldn't afford to lose the living map he had finally gotten hold of.
Inside the room, the two of them practiced separately. I didn't know what the senior sister was practicing, and she had to be so mysterious to set up a single room. Through the crack of the unreliable door, a faint green light flashed from time to time.
Is this woman practicing Avatar?
Forget it, the senior sister is not to be trifled with, so Louis decided to ignore the things in that room, opened the spell tutorial, and selected the two magics of Thunder Explosion and Blazing Flame.
When the two skills appeared in the skill tree, a prompt sound was heard from the system.
"A new mission has been discovered. Do you want to accept it?"
"Mission objective: unknown."
"Recommended level: 10."
"Quest Reward: Rune El, Rune Ed, Rune Tir (choose one of the three)."
It was impossible to refuse, so Louis chose to accept it immediately without even thinking about it.
Although he didn't know what the runes actually did, it didn't stop him from collecting them - how could something that could be a reward for a system task be an ordinary item?
Looking at the door that kept emitting a faint green light, Louis was a little hesitant, wondering whether he should ask his senior to go with him.
Go ahead and call her... What if she finds out that the senior is practicing Avada Kedavra and she gets so angry that she chooses to silence her?
Don’t go and call... As a person with poor direction, by the time he reaches the Forbidden Forest, the first class in the morning may be over.
