Chapter 6 Silver Dagger
Walking into the gate of the Goddess Church, Lewis concentrated his mind and felt it until he no longer felt any malicious gazes. Only then did he confirm that Amon's clone did not have the courage to enter the Goddess Church.

Perhaps, Amon was afraid that the Goddess of Night would discover his plan; or perhaps, Amon simply did not want to conflict with the goddess.

Either way, the Goddess Church gave Lewis an indescribable sense of security. He asked for a separate room, set up the ceremony environment, and made a simple necklace with a penny and a piece of cloth.

"Mandy Harvey is still alive..."

"Mandy Harvey is still alive..."

After repeating it silently several times, Lewis let the necklace hang naturally.

Because Mandy's matter involved too high a level, Lewis could only let the divination statements avoid Amon as much as possible, and did not dare to use overly specific divination methods.

If dream divination is used, if there is a problem with an order, it is likely to point to Amon, which means that his actions will be discovered.

After a few seconds, the pendant began to rotate clockwise, and then began to rotate counterclockwise.

“This means that my divination has been interfered with. There is a high possibility that Mandy is still alive.” Lewis put away the pendant and breathed a sigh of relief.

As long as Mandy is still alive, he has a chance to save Mandy. Of course, the premise of all this is that he has to deal with Amon's clone.

Either let Amon realize that he is of no use and leave, or borrow the power of a third party to completely defeat Amon's clone.

However, these two scenarios are not easy to achieve. Amon crushing him to death would probably be like crushing an ant. Whether he can survive or not seems to depend entirely on Amon's mood.

Lewis was actually looking forward to the Tarot Club being held as soon as possible, where he could temporarily avoid Amon's sight and also have a way to mobilize people.

He tried his best to think about the forces he could use. Currently, there were not many forces in Tingen City that could help him. The angel parasitizing the poet Leonard was one, but this angel must not be allowed to meet Amon, otherwise Amon would get three potions and be qualified to become a god.

Tingen’s Nighthawks are one of them, and this is also Lewis’ main target of help.

The believers of the True Creator are also one of them, but Lewis does not intend to use this force. After all, the True Creator and Amon belong to the same camp.

Finally, the one who is most worth using and most likely to be used is the witch. It would be best if it is Triss who is related to the original witch. No, after a while, I will call her Triss! Triss Chick.

……

In the evening, Lewis rested after dinner. The crimson tulle shone on him through the window, giving him a bad feeling.

Mandy did not rest as early as usual. Instead, she stood beside Lewis' bed, staring blankly out the window, with a strange curve at the corner of her mouth.

As the moon became clearer, Lewis heard the whispers in his ear, and it was not until the crimson moon came into sight that he realized that today was a full moon.

The full moon is the day when Mr. Men is closest to reality. As a descendant of the family of Abraham, Lewis can hear Mr. Men's voice most directly.

“Damn it, Amon gave me the Sequence 8 potion just to allow me to hear Mr. Men’s mumbling more clearly so as to confirm his current condition?”

Lewis cursed Amon in his heart and covered his ears. The crazy whispering was like steel needles piercing his brain.

Gradually, Lewis recognized Mr. Men's whispers, which sometimes sounded like "Save me" and sometimes sounded like "Don't save me."

Lewis's thoughts began to get out of control, and he unconsciously sketched the words "Old Days" in his mind, and then he banged his head against the wall. He couldn't remember the real name of that person, otherwise, he would be contaminated.

"Meditation! Yes, meditation!"

Lewis restrained his uncontrollable thoughts. After some effort, he finally controlled the signs of losing control, and Mr. Men's whispers became much fainter.

The gas lamp in the room was turned on again. Mandy stood behind the gas lamp, her figure half illuminated by the firelight and half hidden in the darkness, and walked slowly towards them.

"Lewis, don't run away, defeat the devil's whisper." Mandy hugged Lewis tightly in her arms and held his scaly hand.

Lewis's mouth twitched. Mr. Men is the Sequence One who is closest to the true God. Let alone defeating Mr. Men, even if he just heard Mr. Men's words, he would be in danger of losing control.

"Damn Amon, for the sake of his goal, he actually wants me to die."

After cursing, Lewis' mind suddenly went blank. He suddenly fell into Mandy's arms, his mumbling disappeared, and the symptoms of being out of control also disappeared.

"Good night, Lewis." Mandy said something incoherent and returned to her room.

In Lewis' blind spot, she put away the silver dagger used in the ceremony, pinched her right eye socket, and raised the corners of her mouth slightly.

Lewis poured himself a cup of coffee and read Hermes by the light of the gas lamp. Although he didn't know why Amon left, it was not a bad thing.

At least, by avoiding this full moon, he can live a little longer.

During this time, he must digest as much of the machine potion as possible and increase his strength as much as possible.

Suddenly, Lewis had an idea and started to do the entrance examination for Tingen University. The key points of the machine should be accuracy and numbness. Achieving these two points might be beneficial to the absorption of the potion.

……

In the morning, Klein picked up his cane, put on a half-high silk hat, and rushed to the Blackthorn Security Company.

Since he was still a novice in the field of occultism, he felt that he needed to accept Dunn Smith's invitation and join the Nighthawks, so that he could deepen his understanding of the occult with the help of the organization.

Taking out a coin from his pocket, Klein watched it spin on his fingertips. He grabbed the coin again, and the coin in his palm revealed the side with a human head.

After witnessing the power and weirdness of Mr. Fate, Klein became more interested in the mysticism. Someone like Fate must have many secrets that are unknown to others.

Perhaps, fate holds the way to connect to another world; or perhaps, fate is the embodiment of gray fog.

“I’m actually looking forward to the next gathering, Mr. Destiny. I don’t know how he sneaked into the gray fog, and I don’t know his purpose. But he shouldn’t be a bad guy.” Klein couldn’t help but think of the weirdness and power of Destiny, and he couldn’t help but feel yearning for him.

At the last gathering, fate seemed to have resonated with the power above the gray fog, and he was unable to pry open the power above the gray fog. This meant that fate must know more about the gray fog than he did.

Perhaps, traveling to this world and encountering extraordinary powers is not accidental, everything is fate. And could the incarnation of fate be Mr. Fate?
Pushing open the door of Blackthorn Security Company, Klein took off his hat and said sincerely, "I want to see Mr. Dunn Smith."

If he wants to confirm his guess, he must find a way to become a transcendent being, to get closer to the level of destiny.
