Mystery: Starting from Meeting Amon

Chapter 56: Gray Mist Connection

Chapter 56: Gray Mist Connection

Lewis blinked his right eyelid three times in succession, and he found that the aura of the "Sun" had changed, which meant that the Sun had successfully taken the magic potion and became a true "Singer".

"Congratulations, Mr. 'Ode Singer.'" Klein, who was sitting at the top of the long bronze table, smiled and looked unfathomable.

He saw the bright stars behind the high-backed chair of "The Sun" move rapidly and reorganize into a symbol representing the sun.

“This is all thanks to your help. This is just the beginning.” Derrick was not surprised at all that Mr. Fool could see his abnormality. After all, the person in front of him might very well be a god.

Audrey kept her tone light and cheerful. She asked Derrick, "Mr. Sun, did you get the Mind Reader formula?"

Lewis looked at Miss Justice with pleasure. Thanks to Audrey's relaxed and cheerful attitude, the Tarot Club became much more fun.

"The Sun" Derrick Berg was a young man who cared a lot about his reputation. He immediately replied, "I have obtained the formula for the Mind Reader."

During this period of time, he sorted out the inheritance left by his parents. Except for the house, furniture and a few items he kept in memory of, all other valuables were taken to the "black market" of the Silver City, in exchange for the ingredients for the "Singer" potion and the "Mind Reader" formula.

Currently, he only lives on a ration of food, but he believes that this situation will not last too long. Once he passes the combat assessment, he will join the team to clean up the surrounding "dark things" and receive a handsome reward.

Derrick glanced at The Fool, who understood and reminded him, “First, recall the potion formula in your mind, then pick up the pen at hand and express your strong desire.”

Derrick followed what The Fool said and materialized a quill pen. He used the quill pen without ink to express the formula of the Mind Reader and gave it to Miss Justice.

Audrey gets the recipe for the Mind Reader potion and tries to memorize all the ingredients until the Fool reminds her that she can recall the recipe by silently reciting the Fool's name.

“Okay.” Audrey gloomily materialized three pages of Russell’s diary and handed them to The Fool, secretly thinking that her efforts to memorize just now were not worth it.

The Fool read Roselle’s diary again, his brows gradually furrowed. Emperor Roselle’s diary mentioned several things that he did not understand.

"You can communicate freely now." After Klein read today's diary of Roselle, he looked at the members under the long bronze table.

Alger, the Hanged Man, immediately said:

"I have obtained intelligence that Vice Admiral Hurricane Qilingos infiltrated Backlund to complete a difficult mission. He may stay there for a long time and commit a horrific tragedy. In addition, I also know that this matter involves an important item that can help Qilingos become a high-sequence strongman."

Alger, the Hanged Man, set his sights on Fate and The Fool. He deliberately emphasized the important item in order to attract the attention of these two secretive beings.

As long as he had the help of these two secret beings, he could get rid of Qilingos calmly.

Lewis was naturally indifferent. As a fake secret existence, he would never intervene in such a battle that could lead to his death. If Qi Lingos didn't have the "Creeping Hunger" on him, he might have been able to try it after reaching Sequence 7.

He glanced at Klein, who was just tapping his fingers on the bronze tabletop, obviously unwilling to take over the matter.

“I understand.” Out of his own dignity, Klein gave a brief answer.

The Hanged Man Alger could only sigh, and then discussed the results of this week's investigation with Miss Justice. Lewis vaguely remembered the outcome of the Qilingos incident. In the end, Klein wrote a letter to Mr. Azik, and Mr. Azik, who received the letter, initially displayed the power of a High-Sequence Powerhouse, thus defeating Qilingos.

"Perhaps Mr. Azik has already arrived in Backlund, but Klein no longer has the Azik copper whistle, so I have to contact Mr. Azik."

Lewis did not hesitate for too long. After The Hanged Man and Justice had exchanged information, he glanced at Klein, then tried to materialize a pen and paper and gave Miss Justice the number of the anonymous account he had recently opened.

"My family needs some activity funds recently. Just transfer the money to this account. There is no need to pay it all at once," Lewis added.

"Okay, Mr. Destiny." Audrey agreed without any burden. Although Mr. Destiny did not ask for a lump sum payment, she did not intend to put off today's matter until tomorrow.

Klein looked at the paper and pen that Fate manifested in surprise. He clearly did not try to help the other party channel spiritual power.

"Mr. Fate himself can mobilize the power of the gray fog? This 'ghost' that exists above the gray fog is even more bizarre than I imagined." Klein thought without changing his expression.

Sun Derrick planned what he was going to do next. He set his sights on Destiny and asked, "Mr. Destiny, can you give me some more information about the City of Silver? Of course, I will exchange it for something valuable."

Lewis wanted to sell more information, but considering the current situation of the Tarot Club members, knowing too much might not be a good thing for them.

"I'm sorry, but knowing too much may not be a good thing for you right now. I think the only thing I can tell you is that there is an evil god living not far from the Silver City, and that Mr. Fool's power is reviving."

The Sun Derrick looked respectfully at The Fool, who was sitting at the head of the long bronze table. He finally understood the purpose of Mr. Fool inviting him to the Tarot Club, and he also understood that the Silver City, which had persisted in the darkness for more than two thousand years, would soon see the dawn.

“Thank you, Mr. Fool! And Mr. Fate,” Derrick said sincerely.

“It’s okay.” Klein replied guiltily, “The Sun.” He was madly complaining about “Fate” in his heart.

"Don't take me with you if you want to show off. This matter involves an evil god..."

The more Klein thought about it, the more scared he became. Mr. Fate seemed to know him very well. The "resurrection" he mentioned should mean that he was about to be promoted to Sequence Eight.

"A powerful and strange ghost who knows many secrets and can sneak into the gray fog silently during every gathering." Klein couldn't help but worry about his future. He now only hoped that Mr. "Destiny" was a good "ghost."

Lewis had no idea what Klein was worried about. He thought that he might be able to get some extraordinary items, so he said:
"If you need extraordinary weapons, please let me know. I think my followers should be able to get some. Of course, the 'Sun' can also."

Hearing Mr. Destiny's words, Derrick's originally calm mood was like a lake being thrown into a boulder. He murmured, "You mean, you have a way to send the items to my world?"

"Mr. Fool is recovering. He may have a solution." Lewis explained with a smile.

Klein's heart was once again in turmoil. He had indeed been thinking about the sacrificial ceremony recently. When he reached Sequence Eight, he should be able to leverage more power above the gray fog, making the Tarot Club's transactions more convenient.

"Mr. Destiny really knows everything. Does the Destiny Path possess the authority of omniscience?" Klein had a clearer understanding of "Destiny" and he did not relax his vigilance against "Destiny".
