Mystery: Starting from Meeting Amon
Chapter 46 Can’t Say
Chapter 46 Can’t Say
In Tingen City, inside the intricate rooms of the Dragon Bar.
Swain, the bar owner in a navy uniform, added the last auxiliary medicinal ingredient, sunflower, into the container. The liquid in the glass suddenly began to boil, and the liquid turned into a nauseating yellow color. Bubbles appeared out of thin air from the bottom and kept churning upwards.
"Old Neil, use your divination method to confirm whether this potion is successful." Swain set his sights on an old man with gray hair and wearing a classic black robe.
Old Neil took out the pendant and silently recited the divination phrase three times, and then his mind gradually emptied.
"There is no problem with this potion." Old Neil glanced at Admisol, who was curled up in the corner and uttering unknown words, and confirmed in an old voice: "Do you really want him to drink this potion? Even though you know that his current condition is not suitable."
"Yes, this is an opportunity that only comes once every ten years. For Ademisol, it may be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity." Swain sighed and added: "In Ademisol's current state, how long can he last even if he doesn't drink the potion?"
Old Neil fell silent. He knew clearly that Admisol was on the verge of losing control. Even if he didn't drink the potion, it was only a matter of time before he lost control.
Swain walked to the corner and saw Admisor's empty eyes in the light of the gas lamp. The other person's body was trembling at the moment.
"Dead people... The dream was full of blood, and the ground was covered with dead people, and I was among the dead people... Haha..." Admisol laughed crazily. He tried to curl up in the corner, as if only there could he be safe.
The angry Swain punched Admithal in the face, then grabbed his hair and poured the prepared "Monster" potion into his mouth.
Admisol drank the potion reluctantly. White scales gradually began to appear on his body. Then he rolled on the ground, making a "woooo" sound from his mouth.
"Imagine a mouse in your mind and keep sketching it over and over again." Old Neil reminded me again and again. This is the prototype of meditation.
Gradually, more and more white scales appeared on Admisol's body, until they spread to his neck. He suddenly let out a roar and then fainted.
Old Neil took out the pendant again. He recited the divination sentence silently and the pendant chain began to rotate clockwise.
"He has absorbed the potion. When he wakes up, he will be considered a Sequence Nine. But I must tell you that he will never be able to advance again in his lifetime. Even if he becomes a Sequence Nine, he is always in a semi-crazy state, and at most he will be awake occasionally."
“I understand. This is a very lucky result.” Swain responded in a deep voice.
……
It was already late, Lewis took the key and returned to 19 Ort Street. He pushed open the glass door. The shop was not big, only less than square meters.
Fortunately, the second floor was an attic, where there were shabby furniture and beds provided free of charge by Mrs. Gallagher.
It was already completely dark, and Lewis turned on the gas lamp and used its light to tidy up the room, making it barely habitable.
“Maybe I should find a maid.” Lying on the bed, Lewis couldn’t help but think that with his current standard of living, he was fully capable of hiring a maid.
Of course, this was not a mature idea. As a supernatural being, his life had too many secrets, and hiring a maid would bring too much inconvenience.
Suddenly, Lewis felt an indescribable tiredness, and found that someone was trying to contact him through dreams, so he fell asleep decisively. Passing through the pure white in front of him, Lewis saw the streets of Tingen City again, and the old angel Pales, who still looked so serious.
"What's the matter, Mr. Pales?" Lewis asked expressionlessly.
"I feel that you have left Tingen City. This is really good news." Pales looked at Lewis and said sincerely.
Lewis felt the old angel’s deep disgust. He frowned and suddenly remembered something.
“Dear Mr. Pales, do you know anyone in the School of Life? I’m about to be promoted to Sequence 7. If you are willing to help me, I will definitely repay you in the future.” Lewis smiled faintly and suggested.
"I'm warning you, don't even think about getting any benefits from me again!" Pales said coldly, "I contacted you because I felt something disgusting about you."
"What is that?" Lewis subconsciously looked at himself. Something that could make an angel feel sick must be something extraordinary.
"I can't say it, but I believe you can understand it. Let me emphasize it one last time. Don't look for me again. After all, I'm just an old man." As Pales' voice fell, the dream shattered.
"Damn!" Lewis suddenly sat up from his sleep. He just wanted to curse. He had clearly contacted him, but what was the point of the conversation?
"Can't say it, or dare not say it? Or just want to deceive me?" Lewis couldn't help but think about it, then shook his head and fell asleep again.
What good would it do him if he knew something that even angels feared? He would just lie there and wait for death.
Lewis was relatively open-minded. He was only a Sequence Eight. Even if he knew that something was wrong with him, he would just do what he had to do and pray to those hidden beings to spare his life. He could even consider asking the goddess for help at a critical moment because he was her most devout believer.
In the morning, when the sky was bright, Lewis woke up, boiled some water, brewed some black tea, and drank it by the window.
Suddenly, Lewis felt a rather uncomfortable sense of disharmony. He vaguely remembered that a few days ago, he was also sitting by the window of the detective agency, holding a pen and letter paper in his hand, as if he wanted to write something down.
"I must do some divination."
Lewis wrote down the divination phrase "Forgotten Memory" and then fell asleep holding the divination phrase.
After about five minutes, Lewis opened his eyes. He rubbed his forehead and could only secretly sigh at the power of Sealed Object 0-08.
"Because I wanted to try to save Dunn Smith, which caused Ince Zangwill to realize that his script was in danger of being destroyed, so he used the pollution as an excuse to force me to forget that part of my memory?"
After thinking about it, Lewis found the envelope and stamp again. He realized that it was impossible for him to rewrite the script of Sealed Object 0-08.
Now, the scenario of Sealed Artifact 0-08 is not only what Ince Zangwill wants to accomplish, but also what the gods who are watching Tingen City want to accomplish.
"But maybe I can seek a tiny change." Lewis did not write anything on the letter paper. He just took off the two silver rings on his left hand, put them in two pieces of mail respectively, and then put them into the mailbox outside the door.
