Chapter 1004 Chimera!
“Alive?” Oakrian Ryukin stared in horror at the simple longsword before him.

“Hmm, I’ve always suspected there’s something wrong with it!” Grand Duke Oakrian Yaso mused.

“How so?” Oakrian Ryukin raised an eyebrow.

“I always felt there was something wrong with the war between humans and dragons back then. You know what our family is like. How could we seal away two dragon kings?” Grand Duke Okrian Yasso’s gaze was calm, but a hint of unease flashed in his eyes.

“Perhaps our ancestors were just lucky? Besides, the dragon race split up back then. You know how chaotic the dragon race is. Who but the Dragon God could keep those guys in check?” Oakrian Ryukin shook his head.

"What are you afraid of?" Oakrian Ryukin asked, puzzled, looking at the silent Grand Duke Oakrian Yasso.

“What are you afraid of? I’m afraid there’s something wrong with this sword!” Archduke Oakrian Yaso frowned.

“This sword is too powerful! I can’t control it!” Archduke Oakrian Yaso said after thinking for a moment while soaking in the water.

"Huh? Aren't you the only one in the family who developed how to use this sword?" Oakrian Ryukin asked in confusion.

“It’s precisely because I know how to use it… that I feel so insignificant!” Grand Duke Oakrian Yaso sighed, the longsword in his hand not merely a longsword! It was two colossal dragons! Grand Duke Oakrian Yaso was always terrified that these two dragon souls would break free of their seal and wreak havoc, but it seemed the Empire’s sealing magic was formidable; after all these years, not only had they not caused any trouble, but the seal hadn’t even loosened! They were completely suppressed by these two dragon souls!
“Trust our ancestors! Anything passed down must be usable! I believe our ancestors wouldn’t leave us any hidden dangers!” Oakrian Ryukin nodded.

"I hope so. That's why I came out. Even if there's something wrong with this sword, it can't erupt within the kingdom. I hope I can eliminate any potential problems during our time here!" Grand Duke Oakrian Yaso nodded.

"My lords, the banquet is ready... What do you think?" Suddenly, Grand Duke Oakrian Yasso raised his hand, and Oakrian Ryukin fell silent instantly. Then, the voice of a waiter came from outside the door.

"Very well, we'll head to the banquet immediately! You may leave now, we don't need any service!" Archduke Oakrian Yasuo called out. As the sound of footsteps faded into the distance, Archduke Oakrian Yasuo glanced at Oakrian Ryukin, signaling him it was time to go.
……

"That feels good!" Oakrian Ryukin, wearing only his inner armor under his large outer robe, let out a long sigh of relief after being unloaded of his weight.

“Let’s go to the banquet!” Grand Duke Oakrian Yaso nodded.

"Welcome..." Earl Raymond looked at Grand Duke Oakrian Yaso with some restraint. The Duke's demeanor made him feel ashamed. Earl Raymond had never seen such an otherworldly, superior air about him, not even in a king. The imposing presence of the Duke made Grand Duke Oakrian Yaso seem like the master of the place...

"Excuse me!" Grand Duke Oakrian Yaso nodded to Earl Lemon, a hint of satisfaction flashing in his eyes. Although the nobles of Rohan were not particularly capable, at least they knew how to conduct themselves properly! Although there were no delicacies on the table, there was a wide variety of roasted meats, stews, vegetables, spices, and staple foods!
"Have a taste? This is my head chef's halfling cooking! See if it suits your palate!" Earl Lemon said enthusiastically, his words brimming with warmth and pride. After all, halfling cuisine is considered the best in Middle-earth! Just look at the dwarves who went to Baggins' house to freeload! They almost got emptied out of Bag End! Clearly, having a cook in Rohan who has learned cooking from halflings is a source of great pride!

"Hmm! Not bad!" Grand Duke Okrian Yaso sat down and cut a piece of venison. Although it was not as good as the banquet at the Lagrange Empire, nor could it compare to the hospitality when King Roland saw them off, it was still a feast for the two who had been eating and sleeping in the open for a long time!
"By the way, Your Excellencies! The intelligence has been confirmed!" Count Lemon watched as Grand Duke Oakrian Yaso and his companion ate heartily, and after moving his mouth for a while, he finally spoke.

"Hmm? Speak!" Grand Duke Oakrian Yaso nodded knowingly. He wouldn't come to the temple without a reason, and since Earl Lemon had brought it up, he might as well join in the fun.

“It really is a dragon…” Count Lemon stammered, his lips trembling. “Impossible! The White Mountains don’t produce dragons!” Before Oakrian Yasso could speak, Oakrian Ryukin slammed his fist on the table and stood up.

“It’s true! I didn’t lie to you two Your Excellencies!” Earl Lemon said, trembling.

"Where is the evidence?" Grand Duke Oakrian Yaso was not as arbitrary as Oakrian Ryukin; he simply frowned and looked at Earl Lemon calmly.

“Yes! There’s a recording stone! A wandering knight-errant risked his life to record his image! He was catching sheep to eat in the villages along the main stream of the Tree River… It’s said he has already set off north! This is a recording stone sent from the southern territory!” Earl Lemon pulled out a recording stone.

"Let me see!" Archduke Oakrian Yaso stretched out his hand, and Oakrian Ryukin immediately stepped forward and took it.

As battle qi was injected to activate the recording stone, the entire stone began to display the recorded images. Beside what was once an ordinary river, a flock of sheep grazed and drank under the shepherd's care, everything so leisurely and carefree. Suddenly, a dark shadow loomed over them, and all the sheep trembled and knelt on the ground, defecating and urinating incessantly, completely frozen in fear. Then, a gaping maw opened, and with a stretch and a tilt of its neck, a sheep vanished… The image then shook violently, and then it ended!
“This thing… Huh? How is this possible!” Oakrian Ryukin exclaimed in surprise.

"Your Majesty, do you see I wasn't lying to you? It's a dragon!" Count Lemon's face was bitter, his eyes filled with panic. If it weren't for the two sixth-tier beings visiting his territory, Lemon would have already started moving.

“What kind of dragon is that!” Oakrian Ryukin said with a strange expression.

"Hmm, not a dragon, but not far off..." Grand Duke Oakrian Yasso rubbed his temples and said helplessly. Although it wasn't a dragon, the thing in front of him was indeed very close to one!
"Then what is this? This tail...this size...these wings...isn't this the dragon described in the book?" Count Lemon exclaimed in horror, pointing at the trembling image.

"Is that it?" Oakrian Ryukin asked Archduke Oakrian Yaso for confirmation.

“It’s him, you’re not mistaken! I just don’t know how many heads there are! The image is too shaky! Obviously, this scout recorded it while he was running away…” Grand Duke Oakrian Yaso shook his head.

“It really is a chimera! I thought they were all extinct!” Oakrian Ryukin exclaimed in shock.

“How could that be! It’s a super magical beast, after all, with some dragon blood flowing through its veins!” Grand Duke Oakrian Yaso shook his head and denied it.

“The problem now is that we don’t know how many heads he has! Getting the number of heads wrong could be deadly!” Archduke Oakrian Yaso frowned.

"Chimera?" Count Lemon stared blankly at the two of them. He could understand what they were saying, but he didn't understand a single word of what they were saying.

“Yes! Chimeras! Monsters on par with dragons! Of course, this refers to those with three or more heads!” Oakrian Ryukin nodded.
