Chapter 1926 Reciprocity
“Many wealthy and powerful people have the habit of keeping mistresses. There are always some people with special status who are neither easy to keep in the brothel nor easy to keep as mistresses, so they need such a place.” A-Shi said casually, “Nowadays, this is the kind of business that Xunfang Tower does behind the scenes.”

"Special identity?" Fang Zilan lowered her eyes, and A Shi took the lead and walked down. "If Lord Fang comes here often, there might be someone you've hidden here."

"I don't have anything..." As soon as Fang Zilan stepped down the steps, the door to the hidden chamber closed. The sudden darkness silenced her. She reached out to grab the wall, but A-Shi grabbed her hand. "Lord Fang, be careful." As soon as he finished speaking, the surroundings were brightly lit. It was unclear what mechanism he had pressed.

Fang Zilan squinted, and after adjusting to the light, she surveyed the Xunfang Tower hidden underground. On the surface, it looked no different from the one above ground, but it was filled with a sweet and cloying fragrance that made one feel dizzy.

A-Shi naturally led Fang Zilan forward, and it took her a while to realize what was happening and pull her hand away.

"Lord Fang?" A-Shi turned around and glanced at her, a smile curving her lips. "Lord Fang, you're blushing."

His bright eyes gleamed with cunning, and the faint smile on his face held an indescribable ambiguity. Seeing this, Fang Zilan took a deep breath and said, "Yes."

The voice, neither too loud nor too soft, carried an imposing and authoritative aura, imbuing the listener with the authority of someone in a high position. It easily instilled fear in people, making them willingly submit.

But Ah Shi simply suppressed her smile, pointed meaningfully at her lips, and made a promise to keep her mouth shut.

Fang Zilan's expression turned cold. Before she could say anything, A Shi casually pointed to the innermost door and said, "Lord Fang, the person you are looking for is inside."

"Thank you." Fang Zilan lifted her foot to leave, but Ashi's voice came from behind her, "Lord Fang, if you go, you will inevitably be resented by others."

"There are plenty of people in the world who resent me, one or two more won't make a difference." Fang Zilan left these words behind and walked to the door without looking back.

The sounds emanating from inside were enough to make anyone blush, but Fang Zilan remained calm, carefully discerning a very low sobbing sound that seemed almost abrupt and out of place.

After an unknown amount of time, there was a loud bang, the sound of something falling.

Upon hearing the sound, Fang Zilan instinctively peeked out, only to hear a woman's voice cursing fiercely, "Wei Ang, you're worse than an animal!"

The woman's voice was a little hoarse, but it still couldn't hide her original charming and melodious nature. She sounded young and the voice was somewhat familiar.

Fang Zilan frowned, trying to recall where she had heard this voice before, when Wei Mao said, "Wei Xing'er, since you think I'm worse than a beast, why did you chase me here?"

"How are you?" Fang Zilan pulled Hong Tai to stand up straight, glanced at him briefly, and could only see that he was covered in blood and dirt, making it impossible to tell how serious his injuries were.

"It's alright, I won't die." Hong Tai forced a smile, as if trying to reassure Fang Zilan, but he clearly couldn't even stand up straight.

Fang Zilan opened her mouth, but her concerned words ultimately turned into, "Do you know how to use the Thousand Bow Crossbow?"

"What do you mean?" Hong Tai coughed and vomited a mouthful of blood. Before Fang Zilan could explain further, she saw the monk staggering towards her.

“I will.” The monk extended his hand to Fang Zilan. She was skeptical, but still handed him the only thousand-bow crossbow. “Gen position, Kun position, choose one.”

"Are you sure?" The monk frowned, and Fang Zilan snorted coldly, "You only have one chance." "Senior Brother Yue, you..." Bai Moci was about to speak when the monk interrupted him, "I hate Zixiu, but if I want to take revenge on her, I need to be alive."

Fang Zilan glanced at the monk sideways, "If you can hit the target with one strike, then you'll be qualified to seek revenge against me."

"At a time like this, you're still provoking them?" Hong Tai chuckled, then leaned close to Fang Zilan's ear and said, "Since you dared to go to Zhongling Mountain, you must have had a backup plan, right?"

"Keeping them is probably useless." Fang Zilan tightened her grip on the plum sword. Even if Zhou Lang led his troops, a thousand men against a thousand crossbowmen would be nothing more than a drop in the ocean.

"Find an opportunity to take A-Wan away." Hong Tai said softly without hesitation, "I'll cover your retreat."

"You?" Fang Zilan suddenly laughed. "Injured like this, you couldn't even withstand one of my attacks. How can you cover my retreat?"

“I…” Hong Tai wanted to say something more, but Fang Zilan said as if mocking herself, “It seems that I am really unlucky and will become a skeleton.”

Hong Tai's heart sank as he saw Fang Zilan stand in front of him and shout to the few remaining martial artists in the square: "Now that the Ghost Gate is here, my life and yours are all hanging by a thread."

She paused, seemingly unconcerned about exposing her weakness, and said, "If you all want to live, you might as well put aside your grudges for now and unite against the Gate of Hell. After tonight, as long as you are alive, you are welcome to come and seek revenge on me."

"Are you crazy?" Hong Tai roared, but Fang Zilan ignored him and stared at the disheveled crowd in front of her, giving them their locations one by one.

That was the location she had roughly determined based on the fireworks and silver light when she rushed back. She couldn't manage it all by herself, but if everyone present joined forces, they might have a chance to survive.

However, Fang Zilan was met with only a long silence. She pursed her lips, her plum-shaped sword pointing directly at the crowd, "Since that's the case, to avoid being attacked from both sides, I have no choice but to kill you all first, and then fight the Ghost Gate to the death."

"Wait a minute." Bai Moci stepped forward and said resolutely, "Miss Zixiu, I will go to the Kun position."

After he finished speaking, he bowed to the monk again and said, "Brother Yue, I'm entrusting the position to you."

"Alright." The monk nodded slightly, watching Bai Moci's figure disappear from sight. He heard Fang Zilan's voice in his ear, "Bai Moci, for Master Randeng's sake, I will go and collect your body."

Upon hearing this, Hong Tai smiled and was about to speak when a hoarse female voice suddenly rang out, "Huo Chun'er of the Blade Sect is willing to temporarily set aside her grudges and fight against the Ghost Sect. Everyone in the Blade Sect, follow me."

Fang Zilan bowed to Huo Chun'er, but Huo Chun'er did not return the bow. Instead, she raised her head and said, "Zixiu, I don't care who you are, blood debts must be repaid in blood."

"I am here to await Miss Huo." Fang Zilan watched Huo Chun'er leave with the members of the Sword Sect, but then heard a mocking voice, "Zixiu, are you planning to scatter everyone and then kill them one by one?"

"Why would I need to deal with you?" Fang Zilan smiled coldly, then looked at the monk, "This... Senior Brother Yue?"

"Shut up, you are not worthy to call me that." The monk's face turned cold, but Fang Zilan was not annoyed. She said calmly, "Perhaps you all did not see it very clearly just now. This time, you should look carefully."
