Chapter 174 Treatment
Vinata was a little curious and seemed to want to ask something else, but before she opened her mouth, she suddenly felt something and looked towards the door.

Then Adele pushed the door open, followed by Tracy.

"Captain." Anne immediately stood up respectfully and saluted Tracy.

"Annie, take Adele to the guest room to heal her wounds..." Tracy said halfway through her instructions when her eyes suddenly swept to Wendy who was holding Sophie in the living room. She immediately forgot the second half of her words and stood there in a daze.

"Captain, that's not Miss Elaine."

Anne quickly stepped forward and quietly tugged at Tracy's sleeve. However, she was taller than Venata, and with her muscles, this definition of quietly was only relative to her usual movements.

"No...Oh."

Tracy came back to her senses, but forgot what she wanted to say next.

"Please stay on the 'Black Death' tonight. The captain will be responsible for your food and daily life." Anne sighed and said to the four people in the living room.

"If you have any other requests, please feel free to ask." Tracy reacted and even though Anne had already said what she wanted to say, she still added a sentence to protect her position as captain.

Then, Adele followed Anne to another room in the Black Death.

"This is my room, and also the Black Death's treatment room." Anne opened the door with a thick brass key. "Let me formally introduce myself. I am the captain's personal maid, the Black Death's ship's doctor, and the Sequence 7 Harvest Priest, Anne Reed."

Adele returned Anne's hand and surveyed the room.

Although Anne's figure and way of speaking made her feel like a real female pirate, her room was unexpectedly tidy, not at all like the messy sailor's room Adele had seen on the Little Warhorse. The sunlight shone in through the porthole, making the potted plants in the room grow more lushly. There was a faint smell of tobacco in the air, which seemed to be caused by the owner's long-term smoking.

"Please take off your clothes and expose the injured part. My ability requires your hands to directly touch the wound to take effect. It will take about three to five minutes to heal a fracture. It will be very troublesome if you don't take off your clothes."

After Adele entered the room, Anne locked the door and said to Adele, "The side wall of this cabin is connected to the heating pipe, so you don't have to worry about catching a cold."

Adele hesitated for a moment, then began to take off her heavy black robe, untied her hair and clips that were tangled around her torso, and took off her pullover, exposing her slightly pink skin to the warm and dry air, leaving only a black printed bra on her upper body.

"If you're nervous, you can lie down on the bed over there. It's quite troublesome to keep lifting your bra."

Anne's voice was a little softer than before, contrary to her previous coldness. She pointed to the wooden bed with a nearly half-foot thick mattress, which looked very comfortable, and said to Adele.

"Okay, please."

Adele calmed herself down and lay down on the bed.

The mattress was much softer than Adele had imagined, and was in no way inferior to the bed she had in Backlund. It exuded a scent that was close to that between ears of grain and flowers and fruits, and there was a strange shield emblem on the dark sheets.

"Are you looking at that emblem? That was my family emblem."

Anne's voice reached Adele's ears, and at the same time, Adele felt a pair of warm hands gently touching the wound on her left rib. The gentle spirituality spread from the sunken closed wound, making Adele feel relaxed.

Adele lowered her head slightly and saw Anne putting her hands on her ribs. Her large hands, which were covered with calluses and as soft as a palm leaf fan, were surprisingly soft to the touch. Her hands emitted a soft white light, which helped the wounds heal and the broken bones return to their original positions.

"Family crest? Were you once a noble?"

Adele asked curiously.

"Strictly speaking, not really, because I was expelled from my family." Anne observed Adele's wound intently, and Adele could only see her profile. "Because I don't like guarding those old and moldy castles, fields and mills. They make me feel like a mushroom that can only grow in dark corners or on a rotten body."

"So I escaped, left Feynaporte, and sold my castle to a new noble who had just bought the corresponding title. This set of supplies is the only thing related to my family that I brought out - after all, no matter how much I hate my family, I have to admit that the mattresses made of cotton produced in that manor are indeed soft and comfortable."

"Then I met the captain. At that time, she was only Sequence 7 like you. She came to the sea on behalf of the Witch Cult in order to do something different from her mother. I caught up with her on the beach of Feynaport and told her that I wanted to join her pirate group. I will never forget the look in the captain's eyes at that time."

"Later, I used the money from selling the castle and the manor to help the captain customize a ship at the shipyard, and began my adventure. This kind of life lasted for nearly eight years until now. And that ship,"

Anne stamped the ground lightly: "It's the 'Black Death' under our feet."

"Great story," Adele exclaimed, "You must love your captain."

"That's right. Unlike those pirates who were driven crazy by the captain's extraordinary abilities, they will never let go of the opportunity to fight with the captain...regardless of whether the captain is willing or not."

Anne's tone was a little disgusted, but then she returned to the calm voice that concealed the fanaticism.

"But I'm different. As long as the captain wants, I can do anything, even if she orders me to leave her. That's why I want to find that Elaine back."

"I have heard about Elaine's affairs," Adele said. "If you really want to do this, I will help you keep an eye out when expanding Intis's business. But are you sure you want to do this?"

There was a long silence between the two of them. For a moment, the only sound in the room was the sound of bones returning to their original positions. After a few dozen seconds, Annie silently removed her hands, and the bones there had surprisingly recovered.

"Forget it. Anyway, I will tell you directly when the time comes. As for what to do, you decide for yourself."

Adele put down her bra and put her clothes on. "Consider it as payment for this treatment."

"Thank you very much." Anne stood up and took Adele's black robe and handed it to her: "Try to move around. If there is nothing serious, let's go back to the living room."
