Chapter 107 Riot
The three people in the church looked at each other, and then rushed out of the church at the same time.

With the skills of an assassin, Altaïr immediately climbed up to the dome of the Harvest Church using his hands and feet. His hair, which was pressed under his collar, grew longer silently, and stretched down along his collar, extending from his sleeves, secretly hooking on the protrusions on the building, and pulling Altaïr's body up quickly.

It took less than ten seconds for Altaïr to climb to the top of the three-story round tower of the Harvest Church. He looked around and saw that the entire eastern district was in chaos. From time to time, explosions and low roars broke through the faint white mist and reached Altaïr.

"Mr. Brewster, please ring the bell at the top of the tower!"

Sister Vespe yelled to Altaïr from downstairs, even losing her composure due to the urgency of the situation.

Altaïr glanced at the huge hammer hanging beside him, and without hesitation, he quickly grabbed the hammer and slammed it into the bronze bell on the top of the round tower. This was a signal for all residents to evacuate, and a notice for all residents to go to the basement of the nearby church.

As the deafening bell rang in Altaïr's ears, forcing him to use a strand of hair to cover his ears, other churches in the East District also issued evacuation signals almost at the same time.

The bells of the Church of Mother Earth and the Church of Night, the trumpets of the Church of Storm, and the whistles of the Church of Steam and Machinery intertwined, tearing at the hearts of every Backlund resident.

The residents of the East District were startled by the alarm and rushed to the church of God they believed in. Of course, some people just looked up at the sky blankly and continued to do what they were doing, just like they did in the war not long ago.

After the alarm bell rang for about three minutes, Altaïr quickly opened the small door of the bell tower and went down the stairs. After the alarm bell rang, many pedestrians had gathered nearby, and it would be too conspicuous to climb down directly. Even though Altaïr felt that after today, his Beyonder identity would most likely be undisguised, it did not mean that he intended to be exposed because of such a small matter.

Sister Venata and Sister Vespa were guiding the residents to take refuge outside the church gate, allowing the ragged poor to hide in the church basement as soon as possible. Sister Vespa's nearly two-meter height gave people a sense of security, and the residents of the East District subconsciously did what she said.

Just as Vinata was about to devote herself to the work of guiding the evacuees, Sister Vespe suddenly raised her hand and stopped a pregnant woman with a bulging belly.

"Please wait a moment." Sister Vespe stood in front of the lady with her tall body. "You can't just go in like this."

"What's the problem, Sister?" The lady's face showed an uneasy look, "Will the Mother Goddess dislike a soul like mine?"

"No, the Mother Goddess teaches us to respect every mother. Of course you can go in."

Sister Vespe showed a look of pity on her face, "But your child has been contaminated by the devil."

"Demon? I don't know..." The mother's face suddenly became empty and wooden, and her body quickly shrank and soon became skin and bones. "My child wants to go in, he seems... seems to be hungry."

Then, her body opened up like a shrunken navel orange, revealing the dancing fleshy creatures inside. Unspeakable monsters were born from the mother's body, emitting a pungent smell like a mixture of sulfur and strong acid.

The surrounding crowd suddenly exploded because of this horrifying scene. People screamed and crowded away from the newly born demon. The order that Vinata had worked so hard to maintain collapsed in an instant. She could only rely on her excellent physical fitness to prevent herself from being crushed by the crowd.

The demon tore open the mother's abdomen and crawled out, squatting on the dead woman's head, and its sharp horny claws dug out the innocent mother's eyes, which still had a trace of astonishment. The goat-like horns on its head turned purple after being stained with human blood, as if it was brewing some magic.

However, it was unable to release the magic because Sister Vespe had reacted immediately and responded directly.

How powerful is a quasi-demigod-level War God's follower?

Before seeing it with their own eyes, many extraordinary people might have misjudged the answer to this question. After all, the warrior path does not have a variety of gorgeous spells like a witch, nor does it have mysterious effects like a fortune teller. Just by listening to the description of extraordinary effects, the warrior seems to be just a stronger ordinary person.

However, if an ordinary person can withstand naval guns with his bare body and compete with dragons in strength, even if he cannot emit flames or rays from his palms, can he really be regarded as a simple ordinary person?

The answer is obviously no. At least Sister Vesper quickly proved with her performance that warriors don't do those mysterious things because they can't do it, but because warriors don't need to learn the corresponding means to counter. No matter what means the enemy uses, all the warriors have to do is tear the opponent apart, nothing more, and that's enough.

Venata didn't know whether the spell brewed by the new demon had been released.

Because the moment the red light flashed on the goat-like horns, Sister Vespe rushed to it. The distance of more than three meters was easy for her to reach in one step.

Sister Vespe did not use any fancy extraordinary abilities. She simply stretched out her hands, grabbed the pair of purple-red horns, and then exerted force to pull them out by the roots.

It was not a simple break - in fact, even breaking it would be a very difficult task - but rather the bone layer and membrane connecting the horn and the skull were directly pulled apart with brute force, leaving two horrific bloody holes protruding outwards.

The demon let out a scream that was incomprehensible to ordinary people, and tried to release its own filthy words to restrain the terrifying creature in front of it. However, the nun was faster than it. She just flipped her wrist, and the two crystal horns like goat horns were stabbed into the demon's body by Sister Vespe, one entered from the mouth and came out from the back of the head, and the other entered from the heart and came out from the back.

The "demon" of Sequence 6, who could put Vinata in a tough fight and even make her difficult to defeat, was killed instantly by Sister Vespe, as easily as crushing a piece of cookie crumbs, without Sister Vespe using any magical items.

The cause of all this was simply because the demon chose to break through the constraints of the mother's body and come into the world three meters away from Sister Vespe.

The crowd suddenly fell silent, staring blankly at Sister Vespe, who was covered in blood but whose holy temperament was not damaged at all, as if they were looking at a real god.

After a moment, Sister Vespe said slowly and firmly: "Everyone, please go to the shelter without worry."

"It's safe here."
