Chapter 103: Talking nonsense

Chapter 103: Talking nonsense (vomiting blood three times, please support!)
"Gasili City Branch, codename 007."

Vega answered Bruno almost immediately without any hesitation.

He knew nothing about the United Kingdom's spy system, but he knew that the United Kingdom city closest to Kareni was Gasili, so he said casually, there was no better way anyway.

As for whether it will be exposed?
Human beings only believe what they want to believe.

The previous tests had eliminated all of the other party's doubts. Now, as long as Vega didn't say anything too outrageous, Bruno would generally believe it. Even if he said something too outrageous, Bruno might think Vega was joking.

"007..."

Bruno's mouth twitched, wanting to ask, but finally closed his mouth.

He really didn't know when the Kingdom's spy system became popular with numbers as code names, but he didn't doubt Vega because Vega's identity had been confirmed and he came from Gasili City, so he was naturally at the forefront of the organization. Maybe this was the organization's new naming method.

"Mr. 0-007."

Bruno twitched the corners of his mouth. He still felt that the code name was a little funny. Then he looked at Vega's ghostly outfit and immediately felt that compared with the code name, the real person seemed even more funny.

"Excuse me, Master General Bruno Valen, what can I do for you?"

Vega deliberately addressed the person by name in order to collect more audio evidence.

Bruno obviously didn't notice this detail: "Mr. 007 has ventured into Kareni this time. I believe you have some important information to convey. It is very safe here now. Please speak clearly."

"Cough cough..."

Vega coughed twice in a hoarse voice and said, "I have been ordered to come here to tell you something important, but you are the only one allowed to know this. As for other irrelevant people..."

Vega glanced around the room intentionally or unintentionally.

He found that the trickster had disappeared again, and with his ability he was unable to detect any trace of him.

"Nightingale is not an outsider."

"Feel sorry."

Veigar stood his ground.

"Humph."

After a cold snort, the door of the reception room seemed to be blown open by the wind, and then closed again.

During this time, Vega could not see any figure, but he felt that something seemed to be missing in the room. Apparently, Nightingale had walked out of the door of the reception room. Vega once again experienced the horror of the trickery.

"Mr. 007, can you tell me now?"

Vega coughed again and did not reply directly. Instead, he sat on the sofa and said, "I heard from General Bruno that this Anslar wine is as pure, fragrant, charming and memorable as blood. I wonder if I would be honored to have a taste of it?"

"Of course."

When Bruno heard Vega praising his wine, a light immediately flashed in his eyes.

He elegantly picked up another cup from the table, poured half of it, and pushed it in front of Vega like a gentleman, making a gesture of invitation, and even the look in his eyes when he looked at Vega became friendly.

Vega picked up the wine glass.

He appeared calm, quiet and confident, but inside he was extremely panicked.

As early as Bruno asked about his purpose, Vega began to do everything he could to delay time and think about how to give an answer that would satisfy Bruno, and then get out of this situation as soon as possible and use the collected evidence to exchange for the deserved benefits from the military.

Vega took a sip of red wine and said, "This 'Anslar' is indeed as delicious as General Bruno said. It is a blessing from God to be able to taste such a fine wine..."

The subject changed quickly.

Before Bruno could react to the previous topic, Vega said, "I think General Bruno has guessed the purpose of my visit."

"Of course."

Red wine is Bruno's favorite thing, and when he heard Vega's praise, he was already quite intoxicated. But then Vega changed the subject and mentioned business, which made him unable to react for a while, so he could only follow Vega's words and answer: "If I'm not mistaken, the purpose of Mr. 007's visit is to convey the strategic deployment of total war?"

"Hahaha."

Vega laughed hoarsely, neither confirming nor denying.

He thought for a moment, then put the glass heavily on the table. "General Bruno Valen, I have received an order from my superiors to inform you that the kingdom plans to launch a full-scale war against the damned empire on January 379, 1 of the Jialan calendar."

"what?!"

Bruno stood up suddenly: "Isn't January 1th the Empire's annual festival, by God's grace?"

Before Vega could answer, Bruno said with a look of astonishment: "The wisdom of the Kingdom's military is indeed beyond our reach. Taking advantage of the Empire's festive occasion, launching a war on the Day of Grace will surely catch the Empire off guard."

Bruno clenched his fist and waved it, looking quite excited.

Vega didn't say anything during the whole process, allowing Bruno to guess on his own.

Bruno paced back and forth for a full minute, then suddenly stopped and asked again: "Mr. 007, does the kingdom have any further instructions?"

"Uh-huh."

Vega said in a tone that was both appropriate and earnest: "General Bruno Valen, if the organization has to instruct you on everything, then what is the point of having you as the general? I have conveyed the message I wanted to convey. As for what you should do when the time comes, please think about it yourself."

Vega snorted, showing his disdain.

Bruno was not angry because of Vega's attitude. On the contrary, he believed Vega's words even more because of his disdainful attitude. He thought about it on his own and finally realized that this was a hint from the organization to give him power.

He hurriedly said solemnly: "Thank you for the organization's cultivation. Bruno Valen swears here that he will not let down the organization's cultivation and the kingdom's trust!"

"The Kingdom will triumph."

Although Vega had no idea what the other party was thinking of, he saluted solemnly.

This date was simply something he made up. It was less than half a month away from the New Year's Day on January 1.11, and the United Kingdom had no sign of starting a war. No matter how you looked at it, it would not happen on January 1.11...

Ok?
Vega's heart stopped, and a sense of foreboding filled his heart. Could this guess be true...

Quickly put aside unrealistic fantasies.

Vega looked at Bruno as if he was a dead man. He didn't need to know what Bruno understood, nor did he need to know what he would do. As long as he walked out of here safely, this sufficient evidence would be enough to take his life.

"Thank you, Mr. 007."

Bruno seemed to have regained his composure. He said like a gentleman, "I have prepared a superior room and a sumptuous dinner for you. I will not nag you today. I wish you a good dream tonight. After a few days, when the storm is over, I will arrange for you to leave the city safely. Please wait patiently."

Vega nodded in agreement.

In order not to arouse Bruno's suspicion, he had no other choice.

The door opens.

So, under the guidance of his assistant, Vega went to the guest room of the Law Enforcement Bureau to rest.

And Bruno obviously had no intention of taking a break.

He returned to his office, spread out the detailed map of Kareni City, picked up a quill and started drawing circles on it. He had been waiting for this day for so long that he began to doubt whether he could live to see that day.

But today, he finally got the news that could change the continent's landscape.

And him, Bruno Valencia!

He will surpass the glory of his ancestors and shatter the myth of the "city that will never fall". The empire is destined to tremble because of his name.
