The Hogwarts Emerald

Chapter 95 Hogsmeade

Chapter 95 Hogsmeade
Heavy snow fell all night. Looking out of the window, the Hogwarts and the mountains in the distance dotted with white made everything look like a fairy tale world.

But in this world there is no vicious queen and kind Snow White, only a noseless old man and a scarred boy.

While Ada was still having breakfast with the twins in the hall, many senior students had already gathered in the school entrance hall. After they lined up and passed the inspection, they could go to the white-covered Hogsmeade village.

Putting down the warm vegetable soup in their hands, Ada and the twins also came out. The students in the hallway were chattering, discussing for a while whether to go to the Three Broomsticks for a drink or just stroll around first.

The queue was moving slowly forward, and Ada could already see the tall Professor McGonagall, who was wearing an emerald green wizard robe and was carefully checking the students' signatures.

The twins called out to Ada on the stairs, so Ada didn't look any further and followed the twins upstairs. The three of them came to the middle of the corridor on the fourth floor, where there was a statue of a one-eyed witch.

George took the Marauder's Map and looked at it, then nodded to Fred. Fred pulled out his wand and tapped the statue of the one-eyed witch, muttering, "Separate left and right!"

The statue's hunchback opened, revealing a hole wide enough for a thinner person to fit in. Fred led the way, followed by Ada, and George took one last look at the map before kicking it into place and also crawling in.

The three of them slid down the stone stairs for a long distance, and then fell to a patch of muddy ground. The damp and cold air instantly surrounded them. Ada wrapped herself tightly in her thick cloak and adjusted her red earmuffs, which were a birthday gift from Mrs. Weasley and were very warm.

The three people who had been organized continued to move forward. After passing through a passage that looked like a giant rabbit hutch, they came to the bottom of a dilapidated stone staircase. Walking up, they saw a trap door. They had arrived.

Fred pushed open the trapdoor and carefully looked into the cellar outside. Ambrosio Froome, the owner of Honeydukes, was moving merchandise and had not noticed the trapdoor had been pushed open.

When Froome left, Ada and the other two also left the cellar and mixed in with the crowd who came to buy candy.

Honeydukes Candy Shop sells chocolates and other kinds of magical candies, and is loved by teachers and students of Hogwarts. The air here is filled with the sweet scent of candies. Ada feels that this must be Dumbledore's paradise.

Ada took some chocolates and candies from the shelves, and the broad, bald Frum was paying her. Looking at his lifeless head, Ada thought of Mr. Weasley. Remember that Mr. Weasley was also bald?

Britain has its own national conditions. Ada couldn't help but start to worry about the fiery red hair on the twins' heads.

After leaving Honeyduke, Ada and the twins walked on the road to Hogsmeade. The picturesque village consisting of cottages and shops became even more beautiful after the snow, and it was covered in silver.

Hogsmeade usually has a lot of people visiting, and today with the addition of Hogwarts students, the streets have become crowded.

There were not many people in the quill shop in the literati's residence. In the eyes of the twins, any place in Hogsmeade village was more interesting than this place. Ada spent a long time choosing from the shelves before she bought two quills. She paid fourteen silver Sickles for them.

When they left the Literary Residence, the twins' steps became lighter, but Ada noticed that there was always a tinkling sound when they moved.

Ada walked in front, and the twins followed behind her with shopping bags. They passed by Mrs. Puddifoot's Tea Shop. Couples were entering this small and cramped tea shop, and a sweet smell came from the occasional open door. The tacky lace curtains made Ada have no intention of going in to take a look.

The listless twins didn't come alive until they entered Zonko's Joke Shop. They wandered from shelf to shelf, carefully calculating the money in their hands, trying to buy as many joke products as possible.

Ada is not interested in things like dung bombs, but she is a little interested in frog egg soap and nose-biting teacup. It would be very interesting if the soap and teacup were given to Snape, but I don't know if the nose-biting teacup can still bite Snape's nose after seeing him.

The twins bought a lot of things, more in total than Ada's, and they walked out of Zonko's Joke Shop very satisfied.

"How about going to the Three Broomsticks to warm up?" Ada suggested.

The Three Broomsticks is a small pub that Hogwarts teachers and students often visit. It is a warm and comfortable place where you can drink butter beer. A woman with a distinctive appearance and beautiful curves is standing at the door, and no one knows who she is waiting for. This woman is Madam Rosmerta, the owner of the Three Broomsticks. Compared with Tom of the Leaky Cauldron, the two owners are simply heaven and earth.

Her beautiful appearance and curvy figure all attracted the attention of young people. Running a tavern seemed to have a lot of stories, which greatly increased the depth of the character and made Mrs. Rosmerta no longer just a vase.

A woman like Madam Rosmerta is the dream lover of many young Hogwarts boys who are just beginning to fall in love. Such a woman is far beyond the reach of the young students who are still in school.

Although she is a little older, many boys still go to the Three Broomsticks just to have a word with her when ordering and paying. In the minds of boys, Mrs. Rosmerta is probably a kind-hearted aunt or a mother's experienced friend.

"No." The twins rejected Ada's suggestion and shook their heads like rattles.

Ada thought the twins had pretty good taste. Just as she was about to praise them, she heard Fred say, "We can go see Madam Rosmerta next time. This time we'll go to another place."

"Let's go to the Hog's Head. I heard there's all kinds of people there," George whispered, but his eyes were still on Madam Rosmerta.

Ada had no way to deal with the two boys who had no desire to survive, so she could only lead the way to the Pig's Head Bar.

They walked along the main road, passed the Hogsmeade post office, from which owls flew out every once in a while, and then turned into a small road next to it. There was a small pub at the corner.

The Hog's Head, as the name suggests, had a tattered wooden sign hanging from a rusty bracket above the door, with a picture of a severed boar's head painted on it, blood seeping through the white cloth wrapped around it. As they approached, the sign creaked in the wind.

"Are you sure you want to come here?" Ida asked uncertainly, "I still prefer Madam Rosmerta's Three Broomsticks."

"We're pretty sure. Hagrid said there are a lot of fun guys here." Fred pushed open the door and walked in first.

The interior of the Hog's Head Bar was small, dark and dirty. Ada didn't know where to stay. There was thick dirt on the windows and no sunlight could get in. The only source of light in the room was the candles on the wooden table.

The people drinking here all cover their faces. Everyone's look is weird and they don't look like good people at first glance.

The bar owner was standing at the bar, wiping the glass with a very dirty rag, and the glass became dirtier and dirtier. He had a lot of long gray hair and beard, was tall and thin, and didn't look easy to get along with.

"What do you want?" The bar owner's attitude was not very friendly and he didn't seem like a businessman.

"Three bottles of butterbeer, please," said Fred, who was standing at the bar.

The bar owner took out three dusty bottles from the counter. Ada paid six silver Sickles for the wine, but she was in trouble when it came to taking the things. The bottles were too dirty and she didn't know where to start.

Ada pinched the bottle cap with her thumb and index finger in disgust, picked up the beer, walked to a table in the corner that was not too dirty and sat down.

"It's really too dirty!" Ada whispered. It was not polite to say such things in someone else's store, but she really couldn't help it.

"So we prepared in advance!" Fred said with a raised eyebrow.

"Look, what is this?" George took out something they had prepared in advance from his robe as if presenting a treasure.
